I keep on trucking in my fifties!
Michèle treat me to a very good lunch at the Chinese buffet.
I got a tablet for my birthday. It is a 10" ASUS MeMo.
For the balance of the day I play with my new toy.

If you remembered last April I found an electric cooler and I fixed it.
We have been using it for over a month now and it is working great.
This was a good find and an easy fix.

The nights are on the cool side, +8 C, but it sure warms up fast once the sun is out.
I started my morning bike ride again.
As you can see, there is still a great deal of water in the woods.
Claudette's parent are in Trenton for a while. Claudette is a friend of ours from Cold Lake, Alberta.
We phoned Pearl and Andy and they invite us for diner at their other daughter's home, Delima.

Another laid-back day.
My morning bike ride took me by the Murray canal.
I saw a turtle, he is on the dead tree. I also saw this big frog.

Our site.

We had the oil change done on the motorhome a few days ago, I decide to check the oil level.
Darn! I notice some black soot on the turbo. Upon closer inspection, I notice a crack on my exhaust manifold.
I am thinking $$$"
After thinking about it for a little while, I took a whole bunch of photos and sent them to my brother Rolland. He is a heavy mechanic teacher. I am asking him for some advice and what are my options with this crack. More to follow!
Pearl and Andy are coming for a visit this afternoon.
A pleasant surprise, Delima, Jay, Hunter and Emilie came for a visit. They are very nice people.
My camera decided to stop working just as I was taking photos of Delima and Jay's family.
My brother called during the evening and we confirm what needs to be done and what are our options.
He will bring this problem to his fellow teachers and come up with the best solution. More to follow!
We are up by 6:45 to get ready for our blood work this morning. At the lab by 8 am and out by 8:45. All went well.
First stop is the car wash.
Next is the A&W for breakfast. We did so good on the last few days, we have eggs, bacon and toast for breakfast.
Hummm! So good.
With breakfast behind us, we head to Home Depot and look for flooring idea for our stairs. Found what we wanted.
Back home, we tackle the water leak behind the fridge.
To fix the leak, we have to take out the fridge from its location. Not easy, but we took it out.
Getting ready to pulled the fridge out, Inspection and a look at where the fridge was a few minutes ago.
The water tube for the ice maker got brittle over the years.
Off the Home Hardware to buy the parts we need for the fix.
The actual fix is done in a few minutes.
We replace the fridge in the hole, reconnect all the tubes and wires (I hope!).
Final touch and all is good. The fridge works and now we have ice!
To replace a tube, which costs only $1.99, we worked more than 4 hours to get the fridge in and out. WOW!

Yesterday, we purchased the new floor for the stairs in the motorhome. Today we are doing flooring.
After breakfast, I read the news on my new tablet...
...and I finally start on the stairs.

So far, not bad!

A lot better then before, isn't it!

After the new floor done, I am back where I started, reading the news.
We are very happy with the new floor. I only have to get some stuff to fill some of the small "cracks".
This will look like a job done by a pro.
This morning we have to get some grout to fill some of the imperfections on our new floor.

Once I have filled the imperfection, I remove the excess with a damp sponge.
This is working very well. We got the grout from a small flooring place in Brighton. The owner just told us to go home with the pot of grout and use what we need and bring back the pot once we are done.
Only in small town and villages will you get this kind of "helping" hand for free.
For the remainder of the day, I worked on our next web page update.
The weather is cooling off and fog is taking over.
The sun burnt through the fog a few hours later, but it is still on the cool side.

Jay and Delima are coming camping across the street from us. We invited them for a raclette for dinner.
Our Canon camera is not working very well tonight for some reason! We have to use the Fujifilm camera. It does not take very good photos indoor.
We had a very good dinner and conversation. A success!
Rain fell all night long. No campfire for us tonight.

Jay and Delima invited us for brunch this morning. Great brunch!

Cloudy skies, but not too cold at +16 C.
We took a little walk around the RV park.
Back at the campfire, we play musical chair to get away from the smoke.
Great afternoon and evening around the campfire.
We talked about everything and nothing. Jay and Delima are very nice people.

WOW!
It is some cold this morning, only +4 C when I get out of the motorhome. It only made it to +10 today.
The wind is blowing at 35 km/h with gusts up to 50 km/h.
This is not fun.
Jay and Delima leave at around 15 hours.
We had a great weekend with them.
We spend the remainder of the day inside staying warm.
The wind is still howling.
We are up earlier then usual because we have our annual appointment with our doctor.
The clock in the waiting room at the doctor's office, we like it!
All went well at the doctor's office, one more blood work and we are good for another year.
My brother Rolland asked me for more photo of the crack on the manifold.
Darn! I find the crack to be almost around the manifold and possibly another crack starting where the lower arrow is. Shoot!
So much work got done, I need a power nap.
It is still on the cool side so we spend the day indoor.

No photos today, I simply forgot to take any!
This morning, I went to the dentist to get two teeth fixed, one hour later, $640 later, all is done.
A good thing we have dental coverage. Once I am back home, I just wait for the freezing to go away.
It is a little warmer today, +13 C and the wind has finally died down.
Last night it dropped down to zero celsius.
Lazy day today, here I am reading the news on my new tablet.

We are up by 6:45 to get ready for our blood work this morning. At the lab by 8 am and out by 8:45. All went well.

The weather is cooling off and fog is taking over.
The sun burnt through the fog a few hours later, but it is still on the cool side.
During the afternoon we cleaned up under our bed to gain access to the engine. We are doing this to get a better photo of the crack on the exhaust manifold. It did not work, we did not get good photos from that access point.

We are up earlier then usual because we have our annual appointment with our doctor.
The clock in the waiting room at the doctor's office, we like it!
All went well at the doctor's office, one more blood work and we are good for another year.

Darn! I find the crack to be almost around the manifold and possibly another crack starting where the lower arrow is. Shoot!
So much work got done, I need a power nap.
