Shortly after lunch, me and Michèle go for a bike ride around the RV
park. Just checking thing out.
The RV park has a little pond, it is the home of a blue heron, a
swan and over 15 turtles.
Of course a small belvedere over-looking the pond.
Today, I go for my bike ride after lunch. Boy it is warm, + 34 C,
I rode about 15 km.
Things I saw during my ride, a goof ball on a "T" for a golf
course!
Or a dead
armadillos by the side walk. I was coming
down a hill and here it is! Boy did it scare the sh%t out of me!
Back at the RV park, we head to the pool and cool off, at + 34 C, you
have to!

Last day of Bike Week in Daytona Beach. We have to go and check
out the bikes!
We start the visit in Daytona Beach at the beach.
The beach sand is very hard, this is why you can drive your car on
it. Further from the water. The sand is soft.
Once we have enough of the sun, we walk to the main street to have a
look at
the bikes.
On our way, we see this cool boat/car!!!
You do not go to Bike Week just for the motorcycle, you also go for
people
watching!
Pretty couple...
We were here two years ago and back then, cars were not allowed on
the main street.
This year they are! Not as much fun to watch.
He has been riding for a while!
Quite a few gray haired people and very few young people.
I
wonder what will happen in 5 or 10 years from now!
Wheelchairs parade?
You can see things are changing, quite few more trikes!
I love the helmet!
The main street is very noisy with all the motorcycle going by, but it
is fun to watch for a while.
An hour later we decide to go home.
On our way back, we travel by the speedway where my brother, my uncle
and me were a few weeks ago for the Daytona 500.
On I-4, we drive by a group of motorcycles with this patch.
As we pass them, we notice they all are women and all African-American,
cool!
Back home by 3 pm. Time for the pool and back home for some
reading in the shades.
Monday March 17, 2013
This morning my bike ride takes me for 12 km. It is warm, by 10
am it is already +26 C.
I "cool off" in the shade with my IPod reading the latest news from
C.B.C.
I go the pool by myself. Michèle spends the afternoon doing
some shopping.
Tuesday March 19, 2013
WOW! It is a hot day today, the thermometer got as high as + 37 C
in the shades.
Michèle and me are at the pool in the afternoon, but it got so hot with
very little shade by the pool, we are back to the motorhome after one
hour and half.
No bike ride for me today, I woke up too late, I slept in and it is too
hot anyway!
We got to skyped with Danielle, Jérémy and Gabriel this evening.
So good to see them, can't wait to see them again this summer.
We showed this outfit we got for Gabriel to Danielle and Jérémy.
They love it!
Just before supper time in British-Columbia. Jérémy and Gabriel.
It has been a while since we skyped with Jérémy's family, this was
good, we love it.
We cannot wait to see them again this summer.

Volusia county fairground has a farmers market on Wednesday.
On our way to check it out.
Got to love big truck and little trailer!
This is not only a farmers market, but also a flea market. The
flea market is all old stuff, just like we like.
Prices for produces are cheap, very cheap, cheaper than grocery stores!
We will have to come back next Wednesday and really check it out.
On our way back from the farmers market, we made a little detour by
Deland.
A university town with the private
Stetson
University. The university is located in the historic
district of Deland. A few photos of the historic district.
A little shopping and visiting of the area.
Wednesday evening is bingo night.
This RV park is almost 50/50 Francophone and Anglophone, the bingo is
mostly attended by the English resident, different!
Sadly, no $$ for us tonight.
The weather is on the stormy side, but we only got rain.
Thursday March 21, 2013
Today the management is putting on a BBQ for the RV park, sort of an
appreciation to the campers.
Again, this RV park being 50/50 Franco/Anglo, the crowd is mostly
Franco for this activity! Again, this is odd!
Now to answer a comment from our son Benoit, I will have more photos of
mom on the blog.
I polish the third wheel of the motorhome. Only one left after
that...
This was a cool day for Florida, it is only + 20 C.
Friday March 22, 2013
While biking this morning, I came across a few wild turkeys.
After lunch, I start on the last wheel.
On the left of the arrow is the un-polished side and on the right is
the polished side. Quite a difference!
The final result.
Polishing wheels is actually dirty work. Before I get to the
pool, I take a well-deserved shower.
To end the "work" day, I spend some time in the spa!
Saturday March 23, 2013
My bike ride takes me by this little pond and I see these turtles, they
are fairly big one too!
We spend the afternoon by the pool, but the rain decided to join us!
Can you see the rain drops on the water?
Tonight is bingo night!
Once again we only contributed our $$.
Sunday March 24, 2013
The weather forecast for today is windy with winds between 50 and 65
km/h with some wind gust up to 80 km/h.
I close the awning, put away the small stuff and put the chairs under
the motorhome.
Notice the tall pine tree behind the motorhome?
The pine tree has pine cones and they are big, look at it! With
today's wind, quite a few fell on the roof of the motorhome.
By late afternoon the wind had lessen somewhat. I climbed on the
motorhome roof and check for damages.
Good! No damage.
Monday March 25, 2013
While I was biking this morning I went by two blue herons. Right
next to the road.
A lot less wind today. Got to take all the stuff back out.
On our drying rack there is a piece of wood.
This is the shelf for our DVD in the bedroom that I am varnishing.
This project was started a few months back. Once it is done, you
will see the photos.
Tuesday March 26, 2013
We have a nice + 8 C this morning, I decide to wash the dashboard of
the motorhome.
Wednesday March 27, 2013
The county flea market.
This time we got here earlier and we took our time going through it.
Not much going on today.
Our neighbors are all going to the restaurant Hibachi. It is a
buffet type of restaurant. We are invited to join them.
From left to right, Gerry, Connie, Larry, Donna, Michèle, Janice and
Wayne. They are very nice people.
Food was very good and we had a large choice to pick from.
The sunset on our way back home.
A good day!
Thursday March 28, 2013
Another "do nothing" day.
Pool, some reading and I continue to varnish the pieces of wood for
the DVD shelf in our bedroom.
Friday March 29, 2013
Michèle is doing a lot of research on used motorhome. She found a
few that are interesting in the Orlando area.
Today we are visiting used motorhome.
We start the day with a breakfast of champion, Mac Donald.
When Michèle was in the Air Force, she worked at the 441 Sqn.
Surprise, we are on US 441!
Here are two of the best used motorhome we saw today. We prefer
the one on the right photo with the TV on the side.
We did not buy, but we did learn a few things today. Our
motorhome is worth between $25,000 and $36,500.
We will keep looking on the internet for the best deal around.
Maybe we will find the best one on our way back home.
To come back home, we have to go through Orlando.
Interstate 4 is hell! We go from 110 km/h to 0 km/h and back up
to 110 km/h many times and for no reasons at all?
We do not like that at all!
Who do we see in Orlando?
We only saw the "LOVE U", by the time he was done writing it, we were
to far to read it.
I did not know He was angry!
Like I said, we learned a few things today and we now have a better
idea of what we want for our next motorhome.
We only have to find it now...
Saturday March 30, 2013
On the left, the shelf not completed and on the right, the masterpiece!
It has been very warm for the past few days. Today, we are at the
pool to cool off.
Sunday March 31, 2013
WOW! No photos of today!
No pool today, but I did cool off with the water hose when I washed the
motorhome.
Some reading for the rest of the day. It is very warm and we love
it!
Until next time.
Life is good...
