It is time to tackle another project.
This time, I am changing the kitchen faucet.
This is the "old" one.
This is part of the job I do not like.
Removed!
This is the new one.
Back to our normal activities.
We received photos of Natasha's Halloween.
There is so much to see for a little girl.
She understands she will get candies after all this walking.
At the end of the day, I got an email from "The Brick" in regards to
our sofa.
It is done, they will change it with no problems. They will
either give us another one or we get a store credit. Great!

Take a guess where we are this morning?
Yes, we are at The Brick. After looking at sofas and recliners, we decide to go with two Grey Chenille Rocking Recliners.
The million-dollar view.
I do not have any photos of the afternoon, but I was helping Jan to blow
strings in the conduits. We even had help from Jannie and Michele. It
all went well until the last section. The string did not move no
matter what we tried. It was too late in the day. We will have to try another time.

The geese really love the "sod" grass. More than the natural grass.
Once they have a full belly, they rest and poop!
You guessed it! No photo once again.
I am helping Jan do some small stuff that needs four hands. Towards the end
of the day, we decide to take care of the last string in the conduit.
We are not using the vacuum to suck the string, but a compressor to
"push" the string in the conduit. About an hour later, we had success!
All the conduits are buried. All have a string or two in them. The strings are
to pull the fibre optic cable through them.
That is whenever Bell decides it
wants to do it.

The water temperature of Lake Ontario is still at 15° C. When the air
temperature drops to -2° C at night, it creates a lot of frost in the
morning.
It is a day at home.
It is also time to change the "chute/dispenser" for ice or water on our fridge in the MH.
It is a very easy job, with only six screws to remove and re-install and 3 electric connectors.
And it is back together.
I run the water pump and use water from the fridge. All is good now.
When I said the geese love the "new" grass. You can almost see a
line between the two arrows. To the left is the "new" grass. To the
right/bottom, the natural grass. The geese are eating grass at the neighbours.

I am at "work" again this morning. What a dirty word, "work"!
One part
of the septic system has issues. It is probably roots growing inside
one of the pipes. We exposed the chamber to have a look. The
water table is so high, we can not go any further. Jan turns on the
pumps to lower the chamber, at the same time the local area.
We are
stopped for now. We will get back to this job in a few days.
So, what do we do?
We pour some concrete into molding forms to make
bases for the electrical pedestals Jan will need next summer. We can make
two a day.
Well, the geese are back. They did not like the grass at the neighbours.
Since we cannot predict when the first snow will be coming, it is time to put the snow tires on the car. All four of them!
Hum! The "new" to us wheels and tires do not have sensors for the Tire
Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Because of that, we now have a
yellow warning light in the car instrument cluster. I guess it will be
there until spring when we put the original tire back on!

We have a few errands to do in town. What do I see on the sidewalk?
People demonstrating against COVID restrictions, masks, maybe even about the end of the world or the flat earth, who knows!
It is mostly about the loss of freedom, which gives them the liberty to demonstrate the loss of freedom, on a sidewalk!?!?
And a pretty photo of the mischievous Natasha.
I will be winterizing the MH tomorrow. I drain all the water from the MH.
Sunday, November 7, 2021
We Skyped with Jeremy, Kristin and Natasha. All is good at their end.
It is time to winterize the MH. Even if the weather forecast is
above zero until the third week of November, I am still winterizing the
MH just in case.
And for the rest of the day, naps, reading and some internet.

Happy Monday morning to all!
These are the "Christmas lights" Michele made with crochet.
I think she is good to do this with no experience in crochet.
A different look at the lights.
We went shopping for some garland to tie the "lights" around the bar.
It is way too early for Christmas decorations. You will have to wait to see the end result.

Remember when I was helping pour concrete in the forms?
Well, here they are. Jan only needs 41 of them.
I am helping Jan and Patricia cut wood for campfire wood.
All the trees come from the park. They had to be cut down because of diseases.
We are using the excavator with the "claw" to handle the trees.
It is easier for Jan to cut the trees in pieces. He does not have to bend down to cut.
As for me? I move the cut wood to the pile.
Sometimes, the position is not the best!
In a little more than two hours, we almost have half the trees cut.
We will continue cutting the trees tomorrow. Maybe even start splitting.
Wednesday, November 10, 2021
We carry on with the trees.
Some of those trees are fairly big. The mini excavator is working hard.
We are running out of trees. The pile of cut wood is getting bigger.
We do take breaks.
After lunch, we work for about one hour and we are done. This is where the pile of trees was.
The cut wood is pretty big.
Tomorrow we will start to split the wood.
Millie has organized a supper at a local restaurant for Jan and Dean's birthday.
From L to R, starting at the top of the table.
Millie and Dean. Jannie and Jan. Me (I am taking the photo) and Michele. Andrew and Patricia.
The food was good. We had fun.
It was a good day.

Remembrance Day. Lest We Forget.
Where does all the split wood go?
In the woodshed by the garage. The back door.
The front door.
Here we go!
Jan is on the wood splitter. I fill the Kubota with the split wood.
Andrew drives the Kubotas between the woodpile and the woodshed.
Patricia,
Andrew and stack the wood in the shed.
This is a lot of wood.
Jannie invited all of us for a lunch of pulled pork. It is good.
After this good meal, we go back to work for another two hours.
The woodshed is filling up.
It has snowed in Saskatchewan. Natasha loves the snow.
We will not be working tomorrow. Jannie and Jan are going to visit some friends.
Friday and Saturday, November 12 and 13, 2021
Not much going on for us. Two days of rain, sun, wind and repeat.

Oh boy! I have ordered some items from Amazon, surprise! They cannot
find where we live. It is weird because they did deliver at this
address before!?!? Yesterday they did not deliver, so I called and gave
them detailed directions. Today they did not deliver. I called back and
gave them extra, extra detailed directions and told them to call if
they could not find it.
Maybe tomorrow?
It is a rainy day, so we read, surf the net, watch TV and do little stuff around the house.
Michele prepared a very good meal. Cabbage, hamburger meat, eggs and cheese.
Photo without the cheese.
With cheese.
And cooked. It is really good.

An easy Monday at home.
What do we see on the planks?
It is snowing. It is more like ice pellets. It only lasted 5 minutes.
Michele watches a documentary about Britney Spears.
