We started the day with a Skype with Jeremy's family.
Hello Kristin, Jeremy, Natasha and Gabriel.
We still have no snow for the holidays. I went for a walk. On the
way back, I stopped by the bay. I saw swans floating, swimming and
standing on the ice.
The MH patiently waiting for Spring to get rolling again.
Later in the afternoon, this fox walked by the house and the bay. The
geese did not like him at all!
By bedtime, we still had no snow.

This is what we saw when we looked outside this morning.
I do not have much shoveling to do here. Patricia is plowing the
driveway.
Since the weather is nice and not cold, we are out for a walk through
the Park. The road to the Park is private. It does not belong to the RV
Park. Snow plowing is done by the owner of the road. He was not in a
hurry to get her done!
On our way into the Park.
With no wind, the Park is quiet.

I took another walk this afternoon. I went all the way to the Murray
Canal.
I place my phone camera to "food". Only the center of the photo is in
focus.
Once I was back home. I shoveled the back patio. Michele is spying on
me!

One more walk, Michele walked with me today.
Tomorrow, Jannie, Patricia and Jan are coming for brunch. I am
cooking the bacon today. In the garage, so the house does not smell
bacon for days.
Michele lost one of her crowns a few days ago. We booked an
appointment, it is tonight at seven-thirty. They only needed to glue it
back on.

I am cooking the eggs for the brunch while they drink mimosas.
This is not one of the best photo, but it is the only one we have of the brunch.
We had a good time.

Kristin sent us photos of Natasha's first few days at daycare. She started Monday.
All the food is homemade at the daycare. She is not crazy about the soup. She is so busy, she fell asleep while crawling.
That is tired. But she loves it.
Thursday, January 7, 2021
We went to town for some groceries. Since the roads are pretty dry, I washed the car at the same time.

For the second time, I had a coffee with Benoit via skype this morning. I really like that. But I forgot to take a photo.
The sun is out, with the snow, the house is very bright inside. Nice.
I am sure the MH thinks it would be better if it was South of the border now, so do we!
Later in the afternoon, we went to Jannie and Jan's house for a coffee.
As usual, we had lots of fun talking and drinking good coffee.

Once again, thank you Kristin, for all the photos you send us. We love them all.
It was just a regular Saturday at home.
Sunday, January 10, 2021
We skyped with Jeremy and Natasha. Kristin joined us later on.
So! What do you do on a Sunday during a pandemic?
You clean! Today, Michele is washing floors. Even the one in the office.
And about me? I cooked a nice beef stew. I first prepared it, about 30
minutes of work. Then I placed it in the crock-pot and watched it cook
for six hours. Boy, am I tired.
Monday to Wednesday, January 11 to 13, 2021
Our days are filled with little things.
With the snow and cold weather we had over the last few days, I went to
check out the ice. With our binoculars, we also noticed some lumps of
snow on the water. I am checking them out.
This is what I found with the camera. With the first really cold weather we just had, some of the swans did not survived.
The sad part is that swans mate for life. The other partner does not understand what is happening. They stay close. Sad.
Some ducks also did not survive the first cold nights.
On my way back home.

Natasha is helping her mom drying dishes.
Jannie and Jan are here for supper tonight. We are having a roast of
lamb. Green apples caramelized in maple syrup. Mash potatoes and green
beans with some gravy.
The food was good. The conversation was a lot of fun.
We had a great time with our friends. They are part of our bubble.
Friday, January 15, 2021
At the daycare Pomme d'Api where Natasha goes, they are celebrating the
January anniversaries. Natasha's birthday is in a few days.
For the past week or so, we saw a fox go by our windows of the sunroom.
By the time we take the camera, he is gone too far for a good photo. On
the left photo, the fox is the black dot on the right of the MH.
