Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

We had more snow, but the temperature is climbing slowly. The ice is melting.

Michele found a used Kobo Glo e-reader for $25 on Market Place.
She bought it and told me it was my Christmas, birthday, father's day gift. Hummm!
Here we are on our way to the town of Cobourg, 60 km from where we live to pick the e-reader up.

Here is the Kobo Glo. It is like in new condition. I am very happy with my gift.
Thank you, my lovely Michele.

Thursday, December 2, 2021.

I think the weather is confused. Today it is +5° C, it is raining for a few hours.
The snow is all gone.

What is left of my "big" snowbank from Monday.

Jan and Jannie are leaving for Yuma, Arizona, later today.
Once Jan had his MH out of the garage, I placed our MH in its place. It will be there until they come back in the spring.
Thank you, Jannie and Jan to let us use the garage.

Ready to leave. Only when Jannie comes back from her hair appointment.

Now, they are ready to go.

Goodbye. Be safe on the road. Have a great winter in Arizona.

Friday, December 3, 2021.

Jannie left her house plants with us. Two of them are blooming.

We placed our last Christmas decoration. The "lights" Michele crocheted are now in place.

The view from the living room.

The view from the kitchen. We like it.

I really enjoy my "new to me" Kobo Glo.

We are very lucky that Kristin sends us photos of Natasha almost every day
We love it. Thank you, Kristin.

It was another day of reading, TV and internet surfing.

Sunday, December 5, 2021.

Michele and I took a walk in the campground.
One of the neighbours finally graded the road. Thank you.

Light snow started to fall in the late afternoon.

Look at the water between the deck and docks.

You can see the swans in the bay
Yep, the white spots are the swans.
About fifty of them will spend the winter in the bay.
As the bay freezes, an area of about five hundred feet by one hundred feet in the channel will remain free of ice.
Many other water birds will spend the winter there as well.

This week was pretty Rock & Roll with the weather.

Monday through Friday, December 6 to 10, 2021.

Not much happened this week.
Monday, we had rain and no snow.

I am still looking after Jannie's plants.

We got some photos of Natasha. She is one funny little girl.

While Michele was shopping at the Thrift Stores in Belleville, I did some geocaching.
The caches are in the park along the river Moira.
I one area, they have different musical instruments for the kids to play with.

In many areas along the river, they have weirs.

Natasha is ready for the cold!

It is now Wednesday.
We have snow on the ground.

Saturday, December 11, 2021.

We had lots of rain last night. We took a walk in the park to check it out. Lots of water.

We skyped with Benoit. We also planned a trip to Montreal to visit him in a few days. More to follow...

I do not why we took this photo, but here is the car in the garage.

Michele bought a sweater in Belleville from Market Place. On the way back, we could see where the cold front was. The sun was setting just below it.

They are forecasting high winds tonight. It has already started.

We are almost home. Can you see Janie and Jan's house on the left?

Sunday, December 11, 2021.

Thank you, Kristin for the beautiful photos.

We are watching the Grey Cup tonight.

We also are having chicken wings with the game.

Four seconds left...

And the Winnipeg Blue Bombers win the 2021 Grey Cup.

It was a good game.

Monday, December 13, 2021.

Michele making cookies to take to Benoit when we visit him, possibly Wednesday.

Tuesday, December 14, 2021.

It is now confirmed, tomorrow, we will be going to Montreal and visiting Benoit for a few days.

Natasha.

Cheese!

Somewhere around 4 pm, the power went out!
I checked the HydroOne website and found that a crew was changing a pole next road over. The estimated time for power back on is 6:30 pm. Not bad.
We light up some candles.

Can you see Michele reading in the dark?

Power finally came back around 9:30. Oh well!
Another surprise. We are not used to using water from a well. During the power outage, we flushed the toilet a few times.
When power was back on, I went for a shower and found out we had no water pressure.
I contacted our friends who own the house about this. Sure enough, I had to crawl into the basement (crawl space) and re-prime the water pump and accumulator. 15 minutes later, I had a nice shower.

Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

Jeremy flying a Snowbirds flight simulator. The pilots taught it was funny to see him flying...

We had a beautiful sunrise this morning.

We left home around 8:30. We are on our way to Montreal.
We made a quick stop in a rest area for coffee.

Welcome to Quebec.

A little before 2 pm, we arrived at Benoit's place. The arrow indicates his apartment.

It is good to see Benoit. We will be here for two nights.

Until next time.

Life is good...
