4 Wing Cold Lake conducted a large formation fly-past over the City of Cold Lake today, April 1. 15 CF-18 Hornets and 6 CT-155 Hawks flew in formation to celebrate the RCAF's 97th Birthday.

Michele wanted to go back to the new thrift store in Belleville. I will be looking for Geocaches while she is shopping.
It has been a long time since I looked for geocaches.
When we left home, it was snowing a little. Halfway to Belleville, it was snowing a lot.

This is in Belleville. We are only 30 km away from our place.

Good advertising.

And more photos of pretty Natasha from the daycare.

A good day.

Natasha needed her mitt to watch TV.

Now, that is love...

We have Milly, Dean, Jannie and Jan over for supper.

We had good food and a good time.

Saturday, April 3, 2021

Today is the day Ontario goes into LockDown.

Jan asked me if I wanted to help him to do some cleaning up around the Park. Before lunch, we picked up all kinds of dead branches from the grounds and roads.
In the afternoon, we cleaned up some of the holes left behind from the old hydro poles.
Here, he is removing the "sleeve" from a site where an old hydro poles. We fill the holes with dirt. Jan does a quick "landscaping" with the excavator. He will add topsoil and sod later this month.

I had a good day working outside.

Sunday, April 4, 2021

We had a quiet Sunday at home.
More photos of Natasha. Easter Sunday equals egg hunt.

She looks so happy...

We had a very good week.

Monday, April 5, 2021

I am back at work this morning. We are removing the old stump and preparing the ground for topsoil and sod later on.

Meanwhile, Jan has sold the exercisers equipment to another campground owner. His employees are removing them this morning. This is where the kid's trailer and fire truck will be placed.

It looks like I am not happy going back to work in the afternoon!

The next project is to place the tow truck on concrete blocks. It is done in no time.

As soon as they are gone, we will roll the kid's trailer in place, or maybe tomorrow.

It was a good day outside.

Tuesday, April 6, 2021

Another sunny day.
The day starts with the breaking down of the old concrete base for the exercise equipment.

Next, roll the kid's trailer into place. We pulled the trailer with the RTV. We used old pieces of awning tube as rollers. It works very well. In no time the trailer is in place.

This is what we have accomplished so far. We placed concrete blocs under the tow truck and the kid's trailer in place.

While I was walking under the willows, I came across a nest on the ground. It has 3 eggs. In a few days, it will have 4 eggs. I do not know what kind of bird owns the eggs.

The nest is between the two willows.

By the docks, I found one egg, this time, it is an egg from a swan. It is cold and in the wrong place. I think it is abandoned.

In the afternoon, I help Jan build a deck. It is 8X18 feet. This is the first time I build a deck and Jan is giving me lots of tricks to make it better and faster. I love the Auto-Feed Screwdriver to fasten the board to the frame of the deck. It is so fast.

We are done.

Meanwhile, Michele was learning to crochet.
Her first piece was a hat for Natasha's doll.

Wednesday, April 7, 2021

It is this morning that we finish the installation of the kid's trailer and the fire truck.
We removed the "skates" from under the trailer, install the wheels, the ladder and the climbing wall. We also placed some concrete blocks under the trailer and fire truck.

The inside of the trailer has two pick-nick tables and benches.

This is not a good collage of the view from the platform on the trailer.

Our Natasha at the daycare.

Superstar!

Michele keeps working with the crochet and getting better. She finished some slippers for the doll.

We started another patio this afternoon. It is much bigger at 24X12 feet.
I got no photos of the end of the day, but we did pretty well.

Thursday, April 8, 2021

Yesterday at the end of the day, we had the two "strigners" completed and levelled. This is the most important part of building a deck since everything will rest on them.
Today, we start on the actual rectangular frame.

With the frame completed, we can move to the deck board. Again, Jan is showing me all kinds of detail to look for and make it look better.

This is the end of the day. We had a great day with +22° C. Sunny and warm.

Natasha.

Friday, April 9, 2021

I install the sideboards and Jan works on the posts.

This is where we are at 10 am.

Jan has a phone conference call for the rest of the morning. It is supposed to rain in the afternoon. So we call it the day.

After lunch, Jan drops by the house and asks. " Are you busy this afternoon?"
The rain is holding off, so we are going to Patricia's house to help clean up part of her backyard. We are taking the excavator and RTV with us. Off we go!

Last year Jan had a run-in with the OPP. He was riding the RTV. The OPP stopped him to say he needed a helmet because it is a side-by-side. Jan argued that an RTV is not a side-by-side, but a working vehicle. So, to calm down the OPP, we now have to wear a helmet when going down the road.

Andrew, Patricia's boyfriend, is also there to help us.

98 % of the work is done by the excavator and the RTV.

The ladder of success. Jan in the excavator, me in the RTV and Andrew on the rake.

We found a large piece of concrete buried in the ground.

This is the pile of garbage, pine needles and other junk we moved so far. It was much bigger at the end of the day.

The crew.

It was a pleasure to help Patricia and Andrew.

Saturday, April 10, 2021

Late last evening, Michele had some kind of reaction to something. The white of her eyes swelled up.
She took a pill for allergies and went to bed. Everything was back to normal in the morning.

It is a beautiful day with a high of +22° C.
I got to do the things I wanted to do Monday.
I put the bikes together to place them on Market Place and sell them.

When I say get them "together", I mean put the two wheels back together, re-install the peddles and the two front wheel.

I take the time to inflate all the tires on the bikes
Our two folding bikes are ready to be used.

Michele and I took the bikes for a ride in the campground. We have to "build" our buttocks to the seats.

When we got back from our bike ride, I took a quick walk around the MH just to make sure everything was good.
Surprise! Our bedroom slide is open by about one inch. Nothing bad. It is probably caused by the expansion in the system from the warm weather.

I push the button to close the slide. Nothing! Not a sound!
I check the batteries, they are good. I am going to do some reading of the slide booklet that came with the MH.
I follow the troubleshooting procedure, first check the batteries, all good. Next, check that power goes to the switches for the slides. Yes.

The next step, check the circuit breakers (CB) close to the pump. The two left arrows point to the CB. But nothing is mentioned about the box you see open. Well, a fuse is blown. I change it.

And now everything works as it should. The bedroom slide is in all the way now!

A Sunday without photos.
It said it was going to be +17° C. and rain starting at 10 am. The reality, +19° C. The rain did not start until 3 pm.
But, I still took a good nap in the afternoon and continued to work on our blog.

Monday, April 12, 2021

It is a rainy Monday.
It is a slow, easy day for us.

This is what a very tired Natasha looks like.

I forgot, I managed to book our COVID-19 vaccines today. We are scheduled for May 13th in the morning. We are very happy.

Tuesday, April 13, 2021

It is a gray morning.
But the sun is back in the afternoon. Jan asked me if I wanted to help to finish the deck? Sure!
We are working on the stair today. The stair is built stronger and heavier because the person living here is on the heavy side.   Each step is built individually.

We add gravel for the foundation of the stairs.
This is what it will look like when it is finished. This set of steps required a lot of lumber and is heavy, but so solid.

Natasha loves cartoons.

Natasha loves her daycare. It is called "La garderie Pomme d'api". It is located in the French school in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. They do all kinds of activities with the kids. All the meals are made from scratch and are healthy.

Wednesday, April 14, 2021

We finished the stairs just before lunch. We are very happy with the end result.

We have built all we could so far. The back of the deck is not completed because we are waiting for the owner to come and physically see where they want the back stairs. Because of COVID, they cannot come to the park yet.

Saskatchewan had great weather this spring, but winter is back with a vengeance.

OK. Some of you may be wondering why Jan sometimes moves from one project to another without being done? Sometimes, it is because of the weather when outdoor projects are concerned. Sometimes it is because of supplies. COVID-19 also plays a role in what needs to be done first. Many other factors come into play. Jan has to take so many things into consideration. This is why it may seem strange why we don't finish a project right away, things change.

Thursday, April 15, 2021

Once again, we wake up to a cloudy sky. It rains all day.

We had to go to BioPed in Belleville for Michele. She picked up sandals and new orthotics.
On our way back, we stopped at A&W for lunch. We had chicken burgers.

The outside weather does not bother Michele. She has tennis to watch on TV.

Natasha loves her yogurt, everywhere!

Even if it was an indoor day, it was good.

Until next time.

Life is good...
