Before it got too hot, Jeremy and Gabriel went shooting the BB gun and Nerf gun.

When they got back, Gabriel and grand-maman spent one hour in the pool before lunch.

Jeremy is putting in batteries in the BIG Nerf gun. Grand-maman bought it.

Most of the afternoon is spent on the front porch.

A good week.

They forecast a hot day with + 34° C. + humidity...
I am alone with Natasha at home, because...

Jeremy, Kristin, Gabriel and Michele are on their way to a beach on Lake Diefenbaker.

The beach is in a provincial park.

They are the only ones at the beach right now.

It is hot, but the wind makes it bearable.

Guess who is fishing?

Gabriel is busy digging holes in the sand.

And making sand angels.

Later on, Kristin's sister joined them, Erin, Jay and Zack.

They were back home by 3 pm.

They had a great day at the beach. I had a great day with Natasha.

We are camping at Wakamow until August 13.

A nice and easy morning.

Our pull-down blind on the passenger side is not working anymore. They are made in the US. I will wait until we are in the US before ordering a new one. I checked Moose Jaw and Regina to find a place to repair it. Unless they sold it to you, they will not even look at it. I guess they did not want to make money off me! So off to Rona to buy a temporary.

With the butchering completed, I tried for a nap, but Gabriel keeps asking questions...

Jeremy and Natasha dropped by for a visit after work.

We took a short walk around the campground.

Audrey and John did drop by too. Just for a short time before heading back home to Regina.

Gabriel is having fun with his BIG Nerf gun.

Natasha is really good at eating Mr.Freeze.

It was cool enough after supper for a campfire.

A good day.

This is the first time I make "Eggs in the hole."
I modified the recipe and made it a French Toast with egg in the hole.

Gabriel loves it.

Grand-maman too!

And so do I.

We had to go for a bike ride to burn off some calories.

But with the heat, a good, cold Mr.Freeze was needed.

Michele looked at Tennis most of the day.

Because of the heat, we went to Jérémy and Kristin's place to play in the pool.
Gabriel stayed for supper, but Michele and I went back to the campground.

I had a nice steak for supper.

When Gabriel came back, we had a propane campfire.
Darn, I ran out of propane after 30 minutes!

Grand-maman made some very good crêpes for lunch.

It is still very hot outside, so we went back home to the pool.
We all stayed for supper. Gabriel came back with us for the night.

It is the Farmer's market at the Oval in Wakamow. Nothing like an ice cone when it is hot.

I purchased some beer from a brewery in Regina. They gave us one free pop bottle for tasting.
It looks like Gabriel is drinking a beer.

Gabriel is burning more calories!

I am cooking more breakfast sausages.

I, too, have to burn calories.

Gabriel and I found some wild cherries.

In the afternoon, we are back at the house for more pool time. We leave Gabriel with them. We left before supper time.

We are having breakfast at A&W this morning. I already had breakfast, so I only had a coffee.

They are so good at restaurants.

We had to visit the tanks and jeeps after breakfast.

Denis, the model with his sweatshirt from North Shore! As you can see, it cooled right off today. It is so nice not to hear the AC going all the time.

We are in the oval for a walk with the whole gang. Gabriel is going up the very steep hill.

Back at the site, we shoot the breeze for a while.

They all left before supper. Another view of our site.

After Natasha went to bed, Jeremy came back with the canoe. They are going on the river.

Ready to go.

Even with those clouds, we had no rain.

They are coming back, but they are continuing further up the river.

About an hour later, they are back for good.

Gabriel enjoyed his canoe ride, mostly because Jeremy used the electric motor.

We received an email from our friends France and Michel. They had to make a quick trip to Quebec. Now they are on their way back to Alberta. Wednesday, they will stop for one night in Moose Jaw. They are travelling with a 5th wheel. It will be good to see them again.

It is not as hot today. We are looking for geocaches with Gabriel. He is not very interested.

We could not find the first cache.
Off to the second one. Not a drop of wind.

Gabriel finds the second one easily.

After we found that cache, we headed back to the MH.
Gabriel is hunting for minnows.
He got quite a few. He brought back a few home to dissect. Look at the tools needed for that!

He loves doing that.

The wind is still with us.

Friends of ours are stopping in Moose Jaw on their way back to Cold Lake. We dropped by for a visit. We sure liked it a lot. They are starting full-timing. We made some (loose) plans to meet this winter in Yuma. If we can travel that is!

Thank you, France and Michel, for stopping for a visit. We really enjoyed your company.

Another very windy day. Gabriel played mostly indoor.

Michele and Gabriel go back to the house after supper. As for me, I stay at the campground for the last night.
Gabriel does not seem to really like the snack his dad prepared for him. The snack is nowhere near as good as the one from grand-maman.

That evening, I watched the movie, "The Godfather".

Gabriel and grand-maman spent a big part of the day playing with Lego.

After packing the MH, I made it home by 10 am.
I parked the MH backing in this time. This way, we can open the living room slide and the bedroom slide.

Benoit is coming for a 2 week-ish visit. He took off this morning. When he land in Regina, a friend from Cold Lake will pick him up. He will be back in Moose Jaw on Monday.

Another nice and relaxing morning.

Kristin is cooking blueberry waffles for brunch.

The boys are playing video games.

Hummm! Very good waffles.

After a big brunch like that, Gabriel goes in the pool.

Jeremy, Kristin and Gabriel are gone to Regina for supper. They are having Sushi.
We are staying with Natasha. It is hot again today.
We stay cool as much as possible, any way possible.

Natasha ate a lot for supper.

Jeremy, Kristin and Gabriel really enjoyed the sushi.
