We made it back home around 6 pm. After supper, we chat outside where it is nice a cool.
Natasha is fly hunting.
Gabriel talked non-stop to Benoit.
A missing tooth? Nope, just dirty.
We even had the fireplace going.
We are very happy to have Benoit with us. We had not seen him since October 2019.
Kristin and Gabriel had never physically seen him. Neither did Natasha. Jeremy had last seen him in 2018.

A relaxing day at home. This is probably the last time we use the pool. A cold front will be here tomorrow.
Gabriel has played in the pool for close to two hours straight.
It is so hot, we stay inside most of the day.

Benoit, Michele, Gabriel and I are out in the town, walking the main street of Moose Jaw.
Benoit is very impresses with the Cannabis Shot outside of Quebec. He finds them very inviting.
A pedestrian crossing.
Benoit is making faces for us!
Gabriel and grand-maman.
A big hug before bedtime.

Those two really love each other.
Natasha loves Benoit too.
As for me, I wash half of the MH.
Natasha likes looking at herself in the hubcap.
Another family dinner.
My pretty Michele.
Gabriel is in deep conversation with Kristin.
Dad with his favourite youngest son.
As I said, Natasha loves Benoit. Benoit loves Natasha.

Natasha is at daycare today.
Another day with family.
Saturday, August 21, 2021
Jeremy and Gabriel are going to Medicine Hat today. They will spend the
night in Medicine Hat. Tomorrow, Gabriel's mom will pick him up to take
him back home.
So, this morning is photo time.
A little fun in the playground.
Gabriel is leaving shortly.
Let's hit the road.
After they were gone, I start closing the pool for the winter. I wash and dry everything.
Almost ready for bedtime.
Gabriel is at the restaurant with Jeremy. They had Ribs for supper.

Natasha and shoes! She loves them.
Nothing is more fun than playing in the rain.
She also loves colouring.
Benoit loves reading books to Natasha.
Michele.
I am cooking a maple syrup glazed chicken for supper.
The house seems empty without Gabriel.

We keep Natasha with us today. She is one curious little girl. She
keeps an eye on the moving truck.
She helps me make a Shepperd Pie.
We had one good thunderstorm after supper. We even had hail.
Natasha being a crazy girl.

Natasha is at daycare today. Benoit and I are on a road trip to
Weyburn, SK. Benoit was here with the program Katimavik sixteen years
ago. The group was living on the second floor of this building.
They were using the side door to go in and out of the building.
One of the places he worked in town.
He wanted to visit the museum, but it was closed for lunchtime.
We drove around town for a while. Benoit was reminiscing about the
good time he had here with Katimavik. Benoit loved this "trip back in
time" in Weyburn.
The "official" photo of Benoit with "Mac, the Moose" of Moose Jaw.
One with the Snowbirds aircraft.
It was a good day.

With all the rain we got in the last few days, Jeremy had to cut the
grass for the first time in a long time.
Benoit is coming back from the playground with Natasha.
She is so nosy.
I am at Fountain Tire to change the four back tires on the MH.
Ready for the new tires.
In little less than 2 hours, all four tires were installed.
We now have four new tires in the back and 2, one-year-old tires in the
front. We are good for a while now.

Natasha is at daycare today.
We are in Regina with Benoit today. First, we stopped at John and
Audrey for a coffee. Our next stop was at the Liquidation store.
Following that, we stopped at the brewery/distillery Minhas of Régina.
The
samples are free. We have tried quite a few different alcohols and
beers. Needless to say, we came out with $132 less in our pockets.
Benoit had never been to a Cabela's store. He was impressed.
Those two get along very well.

WOW! Rain and more rain! Too much rain! Even my rain gutter has a hard
time keeping up.
Moments of the day.
There is nothing like playing in the rain.
Today is also the day for Kristin and Jeremy's annual BBQ. Sadly,
Erin, Kristin's sister, could not come with her family because her
youngest son is sick. They do not know yet if it is COVID. But
Kristin's parents were with us.
Natasha decided to dress in winter gear for no reason!
It was a good BBQ.
Saturday, August 8, 2021
Benoit is going back home today. He is flying out of Regina.
Good bye Benoit. We will see you in a few weeks in Quebec, if COVID let
us do it!
Natasha.
We spent most of the afternoon doing laundry and preparing for our trip
back to Quebec. We are leaving tomorrow morning.
Sunday, August 29, 2021
It is a go!
Shoot, no!
The stair is not retracting!
Jeremy and I check all the connections.
Natasha is helping us with her little hammer.
After about an hour we could not find anything wrong. We managed to
close the stair. We moved the MH out of the driveway, surprise! The
stairs are working properly now! Darn!
We stopped at the Flying J for gasoline. We put in 262 litres in a 300
litres tank. We really needed gasoline. Next gasoline stop, a little
more than 600 km from here.
A few hours after we left Moose Jaw, we stopped for some "food truck"
food.
We made it to the campground in Elkhorn, Manitoba. We will be here for
two nights.
This is what we have covered today. The weather was very good for
travelling. For the first half, we had hardly any wind. For the second
half, we had a 3/4 tailwind, also good.
Monday, August 30, 2021
A day of doing nothing.
I still took a walk around the small town of Elkhorn. It is a small
village, clean and well kept. Lots of well-maintained houses. I stopped
by the CO-OP store for a few purchases. I walked about 3.3. km.
It is a hot day today.
Tuesday, August 31, 2021
We are back on the road this morning. We are heading to Rock Garden
Campground just east of Winnipeg. We will be staying for two nights.
The roads in Manitoba are just plain terrible. I think they beat Quebec for the worst roads.
Arriving in Winnipeg. It is not too warm for travelling.
We stopped for gasoline at the Flying J in Winnipeg. We like this
Flying J because it has an RV Island. It makes it easier for the MH.
Our fuel consumption between Moose
Jaw to Winnipeg is 32.82 litres/100 km, or 8.6
miles/gallons (CDN). It is good since we had the wind
coming at us from the southeast. The wind was 15 km/h with wind gusts
of 25 km/h.
And they supply the squeegee with the long handle.
Once at Rock Garden campground, we had a good chat with the owner. We got to know her over the years.
She gives us the Passport America rate (50% off) even if it is not the right time for it. Thank you.
One of the signs we saw in the campground.
