1 to 15 December 2021   16 to 31 December 2021

Thursday, December 16, 2021.

Our friends Janie and Jan are in Yuma, Arizona, lucky guys.

I am camouflaged on the sofa!

Benoit.

It was a good day with Benoit.

Friday, December 17, 2021.

Natasha still has a cold.

We are leaving Benoit this morning.
We had breakfast on the road.

We made it back home by early afternoon. We really enjoyed our visit with Benoit.
The roads were very good.

Saturday, December 18, 2021.

It started to snow mid-morning.
Patricia and Andrew are coming over for diner tomorrow night. We hit Walmart for the last few items required for the meal.

But first, we made a quick stop at Jannie and Jan's house to check on our MH.

This is one thing I do not want to do next winter.

We skyped with Jeremy, at least with the lower part of his face...

Natasha does not care much about skyping!

More photos of Natasha.

Having fun in the snow!

Jeremy loves ice fishing. Look at the ice on the lake.

Sunday, December 19, 2021.

Beautiful white snow.

Patricia and Andrew are with us for supper.
Good food with good friends.

We had to play a few bowling games to help digestion.

Hummm! I was number one in the first game. Last in the second game!!!

I think Andrew had no fun!

We had a great time tonight. It was a pleasure to have you, Patricia and Andrew.

Jeremy is on another lake this evening.

Another very good week.

Benoit in Montreal.

We received some Santa's photos from Kristin.
Natasha does not seem too enthusiastic about Santa.

But she is warming up.

Natasha is getting better.

Now she likes him.

Thank you, Kristin, for sending all these photos. We love them.

Tuesday, December 21, 2021

The only action we got today, was when they delivered the new Kubota RVT at the house. It was supposed to go to Jan's house. I got to be the first to put some kilometres on it.

Wednesday, December 22, 2021

We received a photo from Jannie and Jan. They were out in the Arizona desert.

The small Stoneburg cove is in Weller's Bay.
I just took this photo to show you the number of swans in the cove, over 50 of them.

A little to the right is the canal from the bay to Lake Ontario. A little over 30 more swans are there. I counted them with my binoculars.

Another group.

Thursday, December 23, 2021.

Benoit will be spending Christmas with us this year.
By 6 am, I am on the road to Montreal to pick him up.

Michele stayed home.
A fox stopped by for a visit.

I arrived at Benoit's place by 10:30 am. In less than an hour, we were back on the road towards Trenton.

We made it back to our house by 3: 30 pm.
We are very happy to have Benoit with us for Christmas.
We played a few games of bowling.

Benoit is pretty happy with his score!

We had lots of fun tonight.

Friday, December 24, 2021

Natasha is a funny girl. She absolutely wanted to keep her bike helmet in the car and in the grocery store. She even wanted to wear her mom's PJ pants.

Jeremy does a lot of ice fishing.

Benoit and I went for a walk in the campground, but I think he liked the playground best.
Here he is as a trucker.

Or a firefighter and a camper!

Michele could not wait and had to give him one Christmas gift.

"Converse" slippers. She crochets them herself.
Benoit loves them.

We had a relaxing afternoon.

We played more games after supper.

Saturday, December 25, 2021

From us to you.

Some photos from Jeremy and Kristin's Christmas morning with Natasha.

Natasha loves colouring books.

It is time to open up our gifts.

We are spoiled.

Benoit has a smoke in the back.

Michele and Benoit are baking cookies.

A little craziness.

Christmas diner with lots of turkey.

It is with a full belly that we go to the living room for some photos.

And we played more games.

Sunday, December 26, 2021.

We are driving back Benoit to Montreal today. Michele is coming with us this time. We left at around 10 am.
We are back in the house by 6:30 pm. We covered over 800 km today.

It is a good thing Benoit left today. The forecast has changed a little. We are supposed to have freezing rain tomorrow.

Monday to Wednesday, December 27 to 29, 2021.

This is the last week before 2022.
What did we do between Monday and Wednesday?
We used the leftover turkey to make shepherd's pie.

It was three days of reading, lots of reading, TV and one last trip to the grocery store to pick up some items needed to carry us over the holiday, and longer. Because the COVID cases are increasing quickly in our area. We will reduce our trips to stores.

Thursday, December 30, 2021.

The COVID cases are increasing in both provinces, Ontario and Quebec. The Quebec government placed a curfew  from 10 pm to 5 am. Ontario as not!

I received this photo from Patricia. This is her friend's truck, Josh.
Why am I showing you this photo?

This is where Josh's truck was parked.

Now, if you remember, in November, a local squirrel found our MH and started to store his pine cones in the engine compartment.

When we moved the MH in Jan's garage, the poor squirrel lost his storage place. That is until Josh parked his truck almost in the same spot. The squirrel found his truck is a good storage place for his pine cones.

By the way, the truck runs fine...

Friday, December 31, 2021.

We are ending 2021 without snow.

It is only -2° C.
We have an afternoon fire. This is a good way to end the year.

What a nice afternoon.

So, what do you do on December 31st when you are French Canadian and COVID is all around?
You watch French Canadian TV.

We are getting ready to welcome the New Year.

From us to you. Happy New Year!

Until next year.

Life is good...
