Jannie and Jan invited us for brunch. It was good food.

Natasha just discovered straws. She loves them.

After brunch, I helped Jannie and Jan with the planting of "plants" for the landscaping. Do not ask me what kind of "plants" it was. I do not know.

This is the view of one-half of the landscaping.

We work well together.

It is moving along at a good pace.

Coming up to the end.

The work is done. Jannie could not get all the plants she needed this time around. This is why some areas have no plants.
We have planted 45 plants.

With this job done, I tackle a leaky sewer hose. The joint between the 90° elbow and the sewer hose is leaking a lot when dumping. It is not too bad with gray water, but with black water... To solve the problem, I added an o ring to the connection. All is good now.

Surprise! Jannie and Jan invited us again but for supper this time. We are having homemade pizza.
This pizza oven reaches 900° F and cooks a 12-inch pizza in 20 seconds. The pizzas are very good.

We finish the evening with good wine and a fire.

Today was a good day.

It was a day at home, including a good nap.

Tuesday, May 18, 2021

I have a busy day ahead of me.
I wash the car very carefully because I will be waxing it after.
I wash all the nook and cranny  of the car. Because we had the car treated with rust protection, the liquid they use seeps out over time and makes a mess.

Also, the gravel road to the house we lived in was very dusty.

I do not have a photo of the waxing, but Jannie let me put the car in the garage. Thanks Jannie.

My next task is to wash the MH and wax it. It will take a few days. It is hot today, +26° C.
Can you see me? I can only wash half of the MH. The side in the sun is way too hot to wash.

The technician for the sofa is here to fix our sofa. He is changing both reclining mechanisms. It took over five months for the mechanisms to get here!

Michele is looking from the bedroom. LOL!

And the sofa is still not fixed. The technician will write a report back to The Brick saying we are not 100% satisfied with the sofa. The Brick will be contacting us soon. Let's wait and see how long that will take.

It is with a temperature of +28° C that I finish washing the MH.

Our pull-down faucet in the kitchen is not working anymore. What I mean is the spout is stuck in spray mode.
Michele found a new, in-the-box, similar faucet on Market Place for only $40. For now, I just switch the spout. Maybe we will change the whole faucet when we are at Jeremy and Kristin's place this summer. The spout fits pretty well, but not perfectly. We will see.

Guess who dressed Natasha this morning? Yep, Jeremy!

I cut the grass at Jannie and Jan's house this morning. Rachel had done some part of it yesterday. I take the lawnmower back to the campground. I will be catching a ride with Jannie on her golf cart later.
I take this time to walk around the playground and take some pictures of the trailer Jan built. I take photos of the firetruck and the tow truck we build last winter. They are completely done up now with all the logos and signs on them.
It looks like the tow truck is on the pavement!

Jan even got a sign commemorating the tow truck project. Thank you, Jan for putting my name too.

One of the firetruck we built last winter.

Jan built this trailer by himself before the firetrucks and tow truck.

The kids in the campground love the new additions to the playground.

I did not do any waxing today. It is way too hot at +30° C.

Saturday, May 22, 2021

We have a cloudy sky. I work fast to finish waxing the MH.

On the left, it is not waxed yet. On the right, it is waxed.

Michele is watching me to make sure I do a good job.

Michele found on Market Place two bags of clothes for free. When she got back home, she tried the clothes, but she did not like any.
She put it back on Market Place. It was gone within 10 minutes.

It was a good day. I am glad I am done waxing.

Sunday, May 23, 2021

I start the day by fixing two of my clean water hoses fitting. They were leaking and old.

I spent a good part of the day reading a book. I am reading an old book, The Godfather. The story is still very good, even after all those years.

Monday, May 24, 2021

We are buying supper tonight. We have a Chinese take-out. Because the MH is small, we are having supper at Jannie and Jan's place. Patricia and Andrew are also with us.

We are having a sunny day at +17° C.
Did I forget to take photos? Yep!

But we do have photos from Saskatchewan.
Kristin received her second vaccine for the COVID-19.

They have a cold spell in Moose Jaw right now. Natasha loves playing in the water.

We taught Natasha fell asleep on the floor, but she was just acting.

Tuesday, May 25, 2021

I have an eye exam today.
As for the results, I will need a small correction on my eyes. The optometrist said she will send the results to the place I got my laser surgery done. We will go from there.

Natasha, the painter.

Overall, a quiet day.

We are having a working day, Michele and I.
A few weeks ago, we made an offer to Jan. We were going to clean and sort the brown barn.
It is happening today. We picked a hot day for it, +27°.
Just as we were getting closer to the brown barn, we saw this turkey.

This is the brown barn.
What we plan to do is sort out the lumber located in the barn, throw away what is no longer good.

This is before we started.

The truck cap is now gone to Jan's house to be washed and waxed. It will be put for sale in Kijiji.

We started by cleaning the side. This way, we will be able to sort and place the lumber according to size and length.
A large portion of the lumber is going to be burned later on.

This is the first trailer loaded with "bad" lumber and to be burned.

There was even a large truck tire in the barn. Patricia is rolling it to the side of the road and mark free on it.
Then, she has an idea. She will use the tire to make a play structure in the doggy park. So it came back to the barn!

Now that the first trailer is loaded, we drop it off in the maintenance yard. We pick up another trailer.
The two of us in the Kubota RTV.

The second trailer is in the right spot and ready to be loaded.

So far, so good.

The second trailer is almost loaded. This one will go to the burn bin also.

Our day is done, but not the clean-up. One last thing to do, bring the trailer to Jan's place and unload it by the burn bin.

This is what it looks like after one day. All the "bad" lumber is gone. We only need to sort out the long pieces. It was some muggy today.

We had a few nice and cold beers with Jannie and Jan.
At the end of the day, a nice sunset.

We will be back in the barn tomorrow.

Thursday, May 27, 2021

Natasha loves ice cream sandwiches.

What a way to look at TV!

We are back to the barn.

A little over an hour later, we are done.

I had to take a look on the second floor.
Nothing good up there. I did not actually go on the second floor. The floor did not look very solid anymore.

Back at the MH, I wash the truck cap. Patricia will put it up for sale.

A quick wax job.

Ready to be put up for sale on Kijiji.

After lunch, I help Jan moving some dock anchors. We will be using this barge to move them around.
It is me and Rachel on the barge.

Jan is going to pull us from the channel to his marina.

The job is to take the anchors that were moved either by the floods or when strong winds moved some of the docks. The anchors are located at the end of the docks.

We were almost done when the end of the day happen!

Michele saw a wild turkey.

He is making himself pretty for the lady turkey.

We have accomplished a lot of work in the last two days.

Friday, May 28, 2021

What a change in temperature, for the last two days, it was hot. Today it is only +5° C.
It rained all day.

They moved my appointment for the hearing test at Helix. It is now today at 9 am. Great!
The results? I will have hearing aids due to the hearing loss on my left side, but mostly for my tinnitus.
I will have them on Monday.

We are cooking lunch for everybody today. We are having hot dogs. Shoot! No photos...

After that good lunch, we spent the afternoon in the MH. The little electric heaters are doing a good job at keeping us nice and warm.
But in Saskatchewan, it is hot.

Saturday, May 29, 2021

Michele decided to do a big clean-up in the storage under the bed. It is mostly to reorganize the storage.

Jan has asked me if I wanted to drive the RTV to Patricia with some gravel, sure!
Patricia's is about 5 km away from the Park. Andrew and I make a total of 4 trips with gravel. At a speed of 36 km/h, it takes a little bit of time.

A beautiful photo of Jeremy with his daughter.

The plan is to leave here on Thursday morning and arrive at Jeremy and Kristin's place on Monday.
That is if the Stay-at-home order is lifted.

Sunday, May 30, 20210

What a nice day, sunny and +21° C. The wind is coming from the south, the Lake, and it has a bite to it.
Jan is burning all the "bad" lumber today.

Natasha loves her "water table".

Jannie and Jan invited us for pizza tonight. Patricia and Andrew are with us too.

A good Sunday.

Monday, May 31, 2021

This afternoon I went to pick up my hearing aids. I have the same model as Michele. I can control my hearing aids from my phone. We update Michele's hearing aids. She can control hers too from her phone. I no longer need headphones to listen to TV. The TV sound goes directly into my ear via the hearing aids. The same for Michele, great!

Natasha, we can not wait to see her again. We should be leaving on Thursday.

Until next time.

Life is good...
