A morning with Natasha, she loves my egg and sausages.

Nothing changes, still hot out there. We play outside for a while.

This is the last day of day camp for Gabriel. Today is the celebration of Canada day.

This is the inside of the Yara Centre. This is only half of the inside. Three corridors are running/walking areas along the exterior walls. They also have all the exercise equipment.

Back home, Jeremy is back from his bike ride and needs to cool off.

Natasha is out and about with grand-maman.

A childhood friend of Kristin is in town. They are going for lunch. Natasha is going with them.

Natasha plays outside once she is back home. Jeremy loves to tease her and she loves to be teased.

Abby, Kristin's friend.

A good snack and some TV time before bedtime.

With Natasha in bed, Gabriel and I went for a dip in the pool.

Just like the little one, he has to have a snack and some TV time before bedtime.

Gabriel is very tired from his week at the camp.

We have smoke in the air from all the forest fires up northern Saskatchewan.

Natasha did not have a good night of sleep. She is still very tired this morning.

But she loves having breakfast with grand-papa. It makes her feel better.

This morning Jeremy and Gabriel are out fishing with some friends on some river south of Moose Jaw. They had fun and caught some fish.

Kristin is preparing some protein balls for her lunch. Natasha and grand-maman are watching and learning.

Mommy reading to Natasha.

The two muchachos.

After I did some stuff outside, I went in the pool to cool off. It is hot and humid today, again!

Our grand-kids.

In the afternoon, it was time for everyone, almost, to be in the pool. This is the first time Natasha wears her life vest. She gets better quickly. She can touch the bottom so she moves around. She loves the pool.

One of the jobs I did this morning was cleaning the patio stones. This way, we can use the patio.

The little family.

Another breakfast with grand-papa.

And a long walk to make that breakfast go down...

Jeremy, Kristin and Gabriel went fishing for carps at Buffalo Pound. They were with friends.

Kristin caught two nice carps.

Jeremy had to ask his friend for a "ride" to get his fish from weeds.

They all had a great time this morning.

Francis with his carp.

Gabriel is so tired, he fell asleep in the car.

Natasha still has lots of fun.

There is nothing like good ice cream for dessert.

An afternoon nap?

Two very happy grand-parents.

After Natasha good nap, time for the pool.

Jeremy and Kristin are on vacation this week. They left early this morning to go to Diefenbaker Lake with Gabriel. This lake is over an hour's drive from home. It turns out this is the coldest day of the summer.

Meanwhile, I am having fun with Natasha doing some exercises.

We look at some of the photos we took.

We went for a walk with grand-maman. Natasha loves flowers.

We watch some TV.

And we have a good ice cream cone.

Some more TV.

A big plate for supper.

Jeremy, Kristin and Gabriel are back. The wrestling is on!

It was an easy day for us.

Tuesday, July 20, 2021

We are taking the MH back into storage. To minimize possible damage to the pavement, I placed the tires on wood and made the "footprint" larger. The same with the jack pads.

Tomorrow, we will be going fishing for carps. Jeremy and Gabriel are mixing the bait for the carps. It consists of red jello, whole kernel corn, bread crumbs and a little water mixed in. This will make "paddies" that will only break down slowly once in the water. The carps love it.

We have a Fish Fry. Walleye, pike and perch. It is excellent.

Gabriel eats a lot at mealtime, but he also eats a lot for snacks.

Since it the temperature is not as hot  today, we have a fire.

Wednesday, July 21, 2021

We left home early to get a good spot on the river. We are first at the river. Jeremy prepares all the rods with baits. He even cleans a new access spot to the river. Jeremy's friend is coming with his visiting family. They are from Quebec and have never seen carp fishing.

Kristin will be joining us after she drops off Natasha at daycare.

Francis (blue shirt) and his dad, mom and his brother with his girlfriend. It is Nicole who brought the carp out of the water. She found it pulls a lot.

Each fishing rods have a bell to let us know a fish is taking the bake.

Kristin also caught a carp, actually two.

Of course, it is not bitting all the time. Gabriel found a new friend.

I brought one out too. They are fun to catch.

Kristin is very patient.

Still playing with his new friend.

Happy fishermen.

One happy grand-papa.

Jeremy is trying his new pruning saw.

It was a hot, but good fishing day.

Thursday, July 22, 2021

Natasha and Gabriel are staying home with grand-maman and Kristin.

And Jeremy and I are at the Wood river with the canoe. Francis and his family are here too.

Almost at the beginning, Jeremy caught a few pikes.

He caught a nice size walleye. We are not keeping any fish. It is all farmland around us with all the chemicals they use in the fields. We are sure some runoff is coming in the river.

This is the bridge we launch from.

Mom and Natasha.

It was hot on the water. Time to go in the pool.

Nothing like a popsicle and bubbles after the pool.

Natasha is not bothered by the wrestling between Jeremy and Gabriel.

Natasha decided to get involved.

Friday, July 23, 2021

Jeremy and Kristin went fishing this morning.
So we spent the day with Gabriel and Natasha.

After breakfast, we clean the ears, elbow, knee and belly button. She loves it!

They are so funny to watch when they are together.

One more walk...

When it is hot outside, it is popsicle time.

Michele is napping with Natasha.

And she is wet again...

It is Fish & Chips Friday.

Fish & Chips for Jeremy and me.

Fish Taco for Gabriel and a Poutine for Michele.

Natasha is also having Fish & Chips.

Once back home, Gabriel asked to sleep in the MH. Sure! It comes with some TV time and snacks.

Another beautiful and hot day.

Gabriel is back from the barber. How handsome!

Audrey and John came for a visit in the afternoon.

After they left, pool time!

After supper, Natasha was reading a book. Gabriel was having a snack before bedtime in the MH.

Sunday, July 25, 2021

Jérémy and Kristin are fishing with Gabriel today.
We are having a good time with Natasha.

We even spent some time in the pool with her.

It is hot, so time for a popsicle. They are back from fishing.

And we are back in the pool.

The smoke from the forest fire in B-C, Alberta and Northern Saskatchewan is making a nice sunset.

We are going camping in Regina until Saturday. Why Regina? Kristin found a day camp at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Depot Division. This day camp is for three days, Wednesday to Friday. They will learn to march, solve a crime, take and compare fingers prints et even drive a police car in a simulator.

What is the RCMP Depot division?
Since 1885, the RCMP Academy, Depot Division in Regina, Saskatchewan has been training members of our national police force.

We decided to make it a camping trip in Regina and save some travelling time between Moose Jaw and Regina.

Today, we are taking it easy.

Surprise! The plug in the bathroom sink just popped out. It is not working anymore. I guess we will be shopping at Home Depot.

It is very hot, but we do have 50 amp for power. We can use both AC. We are cool! We are having a good supper.

Of course, some pretty good snacks and some TV time before bed.

Having a good conversation while having breakfast.

Some game time before we head to the IMAX theatre.

The IMAX theatre is part of the Saskatchewan Science Center.

The first movie we are watching is...

We have to wear a mask inside the theatre. We have to practice social distancing.
We are having fun with the cameras...

Gabriel is wearing his mask upside down.

We enjoyed the movie. It was the first time Gabriel saw an IMAX movie. He loved it.

While we are waiting for the second movie to start, we head outside to a park.
They have two of those dish setups. If you speak in the metal circle, you can hear the voice 10 meters away in the other dish.

And the next movie is...

We are not in the same seat. We have some popcorn and pop.

This movie left us unimpressed.

About one hour after we got home, we had no running water in the MH.
The pressure regulator I tried to repair some time ago, well, it broke again!
I will have to buy another one eventually.

Gabriel really enjoyed the IMAX movies.

First day of camp. He cannot wait to get to the day camp.
But first, a good breakfast.

And more conversation.

We arrived at the Depot and went to the RCMP Heritage Centre where the camp is taking place.

"The RCMP Heritage Centre".

Gabriel is happy.

Once we left Gabriel in good hands, time for shopping in Regina.

We do not really have to buy anything, just looking around.
We stopped at Audrey and John's place for a coffee before lunch.

We got back to the camp at 4:30  to pick up Gabriel. The actual camp ends at 3:30, but they can stay and play with the driving simulator. When we got there, only three kids were left to pick up. They were not good drivers...

Gabriel is tired from his day. He has learned so many things today.
We have Tacos for supper. They are good.

This is one happy boy. He cannot wait for tomorrow.

Day two of the camp.
A different breakfast this morning.

A little crazy time before the start of the camp.

Yesterday, we bought the part needed to fix the bathroom sink.

It is working good, but I will need to buy the right tool to really tightened the whole thing properly.

Gabriel and the other kids had to wear a mask today. Just because they had a lot of visitors in the heritage centre.
Gabriel went at 148 km/h in the simulator.

He really suffers from a lack of food with us!

Friday, July 30, 2021

This is the last day of camp. It is also graduation at the end of the day.

This was a real police car at one time.

The graduation is at 3 o'clock.
Jeremy, Kristin and Natasha came to see the graduation.

The graduation takes place in the amphitheatre.

The graduates arrive.

A short speech where she tells us what they learned in the last three days.

Gabriel gets his certificate and his badge.

INDY, the camp dog. He is very friendly.

Even the RCMP mascot was at the graduation for the photo op.

Gabriel is proud of his certificate.

With the parade and the camp over, we visited the museum. Gabriel explains everything he did in the past three days.

A life-size driving simulator.

This is a smaller size simulator, but it does the same thing.

Audrey and John invited all of us for some burgers and hot dogs.
Gabriel and Natasha love the piano.

We are staying one more night at the campground. We will leave tomorrow morning.

Saturday, July 31, 2021

Jeremy and Natasha have breakfast at A&W.
The manager loves how nice Natasha is. She thinks she is too cute.
This is the third time she gives an A&W Bear to Natasha.

We are back home by about 11 o'clock.
That is what brother and sister do!

Jeremy built a jump ramp for the RC cars. Both are having fun.

It is still a hot day. The pool water is just cool enough to be pleasant.

Until next time.

Life is good...
