Today I am giving Jan a hand to remove the awning on two slides of his MH. When the new ones will be completed, I will help him to install them.

Today, in Moose Jaw, it is the last day for the Snowbirds to be on the road for Air Shows. The last show is always for the people of the base and families.

And the best photo...

Thank you so much for all the beautiful photos.

The fall weather has arrived.
We will move to the park house within a week, more to follow.
We are still not sure if we will be going to the U.S. this winter. Not just because of COVID, but a member of the family is not doing so well. We will probably stay the whole winter to help as much as we can.

When I fill the freshwater tank, I never go very far from the tank. If I do, I get distracted and overfill the tank. I even use the timer on my phone. That way, I don't get distracted!

This is just a stay-at-home day.

We are slowly getting into a routine.
My pretty Michele is back at crocheting.

Her latest project.

Jan is a nice guy. He lets me drive the lawnmower!
I am getting ready to cut grass.

Seat belt on!

And off I go!

The view from the cockpit!

The view after the grass is cut.

It takes me a little over two hours to cut all the grass.

It is raining a little.
We decided to move to the house today anyway.
A big thank you to Jannie and Jan for letting us stay in the backyard for all this time.

Our home for the next few months. So far, we are not going south this winter, but you know us and our plans...

Surprise! Thank you, Patricia!

The day is spent moving stuff from the MH to the house. I still find moving a pain in the rear. Oh well!

Jeremy took part in the SaskEnduroSeries.com in Buffalo Pound Provincial Park near Moose Jaw.
The participants come from all over Western Canada. Jeremy finished 25th overall, not bad at all.

It does not matter how cold it is outside, ice cream is always good, but it does tire you out!

I am helping Patricia and Jan with the installation of the conduit for the fibre optic (internet) coming soon in the park.

Jan and Patricia use the vacuum cleaner to suck the string through the conduit. The string will be used later to pull the fibre optic cable through the conduit.

Michele is having fun with the camera.

I am helping again today.

Jan is skilled at using the excavator.

Jannie and Jan are with us for supper.

And the crazy photo!

Can we still say that? A Chinese fondue!

We had lots of fun with Jannie and Jan.

Natasha was watching fishing videos with dad!

She is always smiling!

I think she is burned out.

We moved the las of our stuff today. The MH will be there for a little. It is waiting for a new windshield.

Last week, Jan took me out for a spin with his new, to him, 2017 Corvette. What a car, or should I say "bomb".

The weather forecast for early this week, rain and more rain!

Monday, October 25, 2021

It is a rainy day today.
I am helping Jan re-install the slide topper (awning) on his MH.

Michele is working on a new crochet project.

More to follow.

Tuesday, October 25, 2021

This is what Michele is working on. Christmas lights are made out of yarn.

The next photos will be of the completed project.

Since we are more than likely to spend the winter here. We have been looking to buy winter tires for the car. Michele is very good at finding stuff in Market Place (Facebook). She found winter tires with wheels for only $100 for the set of 4. The wheels fit our car. I contacted the seller and offered $75 since they have been for sale for over 4 weeks. We can come and get them anytime. The only downside is that they are located over one hour away from here near Peterborough. At this price, we got right away.
The road to get there is so nice.

Even the school bus is in the Halloween spirit.

The kitchen faucet is not working very well. We could ask our friends to fix it or change it, but for what they charge us for rent, we will buy one and change it ourselves. Again, Michele found a nice, new one in Market Place. We picked it up at the same time we picked up the tires.

Here is our purchase. They actually have a lot of thread left on them.

Michele found this blue heron pretty cute.

It was a good day.

We have a busy morning ahead of us.

It is a banking morning.
We had borrowed money to purchase our MH 6 years ago. It is time to pay it off. Our money is in one bank. The loan is at the other bank. Done, the MH is now really ours.

Now that it is done, our next stop is for the flu shot at the pharmacy. In less than 45 minutes, we are out the door with our flu shots in us. BTW, for people outside of Canada, the flu shot is free.

Following our shot, we stop at the local L.C.B.O. (It is just to soothe the pain from the flu shot).

We made it back home before lunch. Shortly after lunch, Patricia came by and asked if I was busy. Nope! I helped them with the trenching and the conduits all afternoon.

Friday, October 29, 2021

What a nice sunrise this morning.

Today, I am helping Jan and Patricia to finish the trenching and conduits laying.
This is the last stretch. It is between the shop and the house.

Oups! No matter how hard you try, sometimes you break something. Jan punctured a sewer pipe. There is a lot of old underground infrastructure in the park. Jan dumps some water in the dumping station to see if it is a "live" or a "dead" sewer line.

Yep! It is a live one. It has to be repaired.

They talk about the repair. I just listen.

I have to go to town to pick up a 45° pipe to fix the break.
After lunch, I help Jan to repair it. Patricia left at noon. She is going on holiday in Nova-Scotia with a friend for a week.

Jan and I place the last conduits in the trench.

It is time to bury the conduits.

After I replace the sod, Jan drives the excavator over the trench to compact it.

With this part of the job done, we place a small string from one end of the conduit to the other end where it comes out of the ground. We use a vacuum cleaner to suck the string in the conduit. The string will be used to pull the fibre optic cable later on.

We had a good day today. We accomplished a lot. Jan is very happy with this part of the upgrade done.
I am not used to working outside, all day long. I am tired at the end of the day. It is a "good" tired.

Michele and I are going to Belleville to the local thrift stores.
Look at that! We have 666 km left to drive with this tank of gas. Isn't 666 the devil's number?!?!?

Jeremy sent us this photo of Natasha sick. A poor little girl.

We skype with Natasha and Jeremy. She is making faces for us. She is a funny one this one.

We are having diner at Jannie and Jan's place tonight. Jannie always prepares good meals. This time it is chicken with cheese melted over top on a bed of spaghetti. Very good.

We played a game of Soelbak after this good meal.

Thank you, Jannie and Jan.

Natasha is feeling better today.

Last night, Jannie and Jan invited us to have lunch with them in the County. We are going to the Prince Edward County Parsons Brewing Company. Jan and I are going with the side-by-side. This is the first time for me.

We are driving on the Millennium Trail to Picton.

Right to the point.

Meanwhile, Jannie and Michele stopped at Carson's Garden & Market in Bloomfield before they joined us.

The goats even posed for them.

Prince Edward County Parsons Brewing Company. At this time of the year, it is not as pretty as in the summer.

We start with two flights of beers.

We forgot to take a photo of our meal.

Michele and Jannie are ready to leave. Us too.

Got to take a photo...

We drove over 100 km with the side-by-side today. We really loved our day today.
Once again, thank you, Jannie and Jan.

After we got back home, we did some reading and resting for our eyes for a while.

Until next time.

Life is good...
