Friday, September 16, 2022.

I am trying some of the features of the camera this morning.
This is just off the access to the beach by the RV Park.

Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Michele and I are checking out some yard sales this morning.
I saw this compound mitre saw for only $10. I know Jeremy was looking for one. It is in working condition. Jeremy has a mitre saw now!

Natasha has her first swimming lesson this morning. Kristin is in the pool with Natasha.
Natasha is the only one in her group. She has private swimming now. She loves learning. She loves the water.

It is Saturday! Natasha has her sleepover with us.
We are going to the beach.

We had to stop and check out all the painted rocks.

We threw stuff in the ocean and had a snack.

Back at the MH, we had tea.

Natasha is hiding the ball in grand-papa's pocket. She thinks it is funny.

She had some playtime and TV before supper.

We had chicken lasagna and Natasha ate all her plate.

After supper, she had her bath. Once she had her PJ on, she ran to our bed and waited for us to catch up and organize the sleepover bed, snacks and movie. It did not happen fast enough! It was funny to watch her.

She also had glow sticks.

Life is good!

Natasha sure understands the meaning of sleepover now.

Sunday, September 18, 2022.

Natasha had a great night of sleep.

Breakfast with crepe, brown sugar, maple syrup and watching cartoons on TV. Heaven!

Before we took Natasha home, we stopped at Goose Spit for a walk.

This is the only patch of sand on this beach. The tide is going up.

A bigger wave surprised her!

We had to stop and have a snack.

We had a lot of fun with Natasha.

If you remember, our Wingard system stopped working a while back. I tackled this problem today.
I check out the cables from the LNB to the base of the system. Out of the four cables, three of them are broken.
That is the problem. To confirm, I bypass the four cables with four other cables I had on hand.
It is all working good.

I have to order the connectors and make new wires. I should get the material Wednesday.

I received the camera battery charger with a new battery.

Monday, September 19, 2022

Jeremy called and asked if I wanted to go for a walk with him and Natasha this morning. Sure!
We are at Seal Bay Regional Nature Park.

Why do kids always want to climb!

At home, I try some of the features of our new camera.

I tried the lens 60-300 mm. WOW! Does it bring things closer.

Some photos from Jeremy and Kristin. They went fishing with Natasha after supper.

Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

More photos we got from Kristin.

I went fishing in the ocean with Jeremy this morning. He caught a sculpin and a Chinook (salmon).

We are invited to try the fish  with Jeremy and Natasha. Kristin can't eat fish since she was pregnant!
Socializing before supper.

Those two have a special connection.

The salmon was very good, as for the sculpin, it did not have any taste. The texture was good.

Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Jeremy and Kristin are on the ocean this morning. We observe them. I try some more features on our camera.

The WestJet aircraft coming for landing at Comox airport.

This is the boat launch at Holmes Point. It may not look long, but it is at low tide.

Another long view!

We hope they are catching fish.

Yep, another sculpin.

And some kind of flounder.

Michele tried her phone camera through the binoculars. Not bad at all!

The tide is coming in.

After talking with them for a while, they headed home.

It was a good day.

Thursday, September 22, 2022.

Jeremy dropped by for a short visit this morning.

Michele finished the sleepers for Natasha.

I was waiting to receive the tools to finish fixing our satellite antenna. I now have the right cutting tool for coax and the proper crimper.

We now have four new coax cables from the LNB.

To the base of our Wingard. I made the system shut down and power up again to confirm the coax cables were not being pinched.

It is now officially fixed. The signal strength is at 96 %, very good.

I am very happy it was an easy fix.

Friday, September 23, 2022.

We  had a coffee with Benoit this morning. With Skype that is!
It is always fun to talk to him.

We went to Costco with Kristin and Jeremy this afternoon. We find the "deal" to be almost the same as other grocery stores in the area. The only advantage is the large quantities. Those large quantities are not good for us with the MH. In the end, we did not buy much.

I also sold the Kobo e-reader I bought for $5. I took the good cover for me and placed the old cover of the one I sold for $ 15.
Not a bad deal.

Saturday, September 24, 2022.

Natasha had her swimming lessons this morning. As usual, we picked her up after her afternoon nap. She is coming to the MH for a sleepover.
At the Park, we went to look at the painted rocks. She remembered where the blackberries were. We had a few of those!

After that, we had a popsicle.

We had a shoot-out with the water guns.

A little relaxing time before supper time.

Natasha is explaining things to grand-maman.

We had grilled cheese for supper. Natasha ate a lot!

A light dessert to leave some room for the snacks later on.

The hard life of a little girl.

She has a lot of fun with grand-maman.

Sunday, September 25, 2022.

She loves eating breakfast while watching TV.

She came back to the table when I started my breakfast. She ate a lot this morning.

A little crazy time in bed!

And a donut.

She has funny pants on this morning.

We can see the fog in the distance.

We stopped at the Air Force Museum Heritage Air Park.

A part of the Air Park.

Of course, we had to stop for a snack.

My first ever plane ride was in this type of airplane.

Natasha is so small next to the aircraft.

After the museum, we dropped Natasha at her parents'.

After lunch, Jeremy asked me if the waves were big?
Nope!

We meet them at the boat launch. Kristin and Natasha are joining Jeremy for fishing.
This is the first time Natasha is in the boat and in the ocean.

Monday, September 26, 2022

Photos from Jeremy and Kristin. They are fishing in the ocean.
The first catch is a rock and the next one is a sculpin.

Kristin found this beautiful Halloween costume for Natasha.

Today is the day I tackle the problem with the hot water tank. It is not working on electricity, just on propane.
I found the switch to turn on the hot water tank is not working. Off to the RV dealer in tow to buy a new switch.
I turn on the hot water tank. It works for only 30 seconds and quits !?!?!?

These are the two limit switches for the hot water tank. The sensor at the bottom stops the water from getting hotter than 130 F.
It is the same for the propane side. It turns out the one on the electric side only works intermittently.
Next time I go to town, I will get another one.

Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

We are on the move today. We are on our way to the small city of Campbell River, north of us.
The roads on Vancouver Island are so beautiful. Look at the tall trees.

We wanted to go to the same restaurant as the last time for Fish & Chips, but it was very crowded. It was full of bicycles and police!
The restaurant is closed because of the bicycle ride to raise money for "Cop For Cancer".
We will have to find another Fish & Chips place.

Campbell River's downtown is very nice with its murals.

We found another place for Fish & Chips. The Seabreeze. This is an old photo.

This is today.

We share two pieces of Halibut plate. They even made two plates for us.

It is very good!

It is with a full belly that we go looking for Thrift Stores.

We saw this on the main street. It is to remember the origin of the city. It was a lumber town at its beginning.

We had a good day.

Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

It is laundry day.
We are at Kristin and Jeremy's place for that!
Kristin and Jeremy are going out for supper and we are having supper with Natasha.
Once Natasha is back from daycare, it sure becomes busy.
Playing doctor and looking for brain activity?

She is so proud of her ponytails.

Natasha loves to help, even folding laundry.

She had a hard time with the shirts.

She sure loves her food.

Thursday, September 29, 2022.

Well, darn!
Another day without photos.

Friday, September 30, 2022.

This is the last time we pick blackberries. They are getting smaller and smaller. Not as tasty either.

I picked up the part to fix the hot water tank this morning.

You remember?

The one at the top is the original one, not working.
At the bottom, the new one.

In less than 5 minutes, it is replaced. I turn on the hot water tank.
It works. As you can see, the hot water tank draws 11.6 Amps. Good.

It was only a 40 $ fix, not bad.

Until next time.

Life is good...
