Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

A pretty sunrise.

Today we are getting our third vaccine. When I booked our vaccines, the only place that had openings was in Cobourg. It is only 45 minutes from where we live, not bad.
The Cobourg's main street is pretty. We will come back for a stroll when the weather is warmer.

A treat, A&W burgers.

We arrive half an hour early for our vaccines. No problems. Within 5 minutes we were vaccinated. After our mandatory 15 minutes of waiting, we are on our way home.

I think I have to explain the next two photos. Where you see the green tents, it is where the North Shore RV Park is located. On the bottom left corner is Lake Ontario. The other body of water is Weller's Bay. The arrow shows you where the water from the Bay goes into Lake Ontario. This is where all the birds you will see are.

This is a closer look at the canal between Weller's Bay and Lake Ontario. Again, the arrow points to where the birds are located.

This is Lake Ontario with the ice near the shore.

We are getting closer to where the birds are. You can see the geese onshore.

Many species of aquatic birds spend the winter here.

They are here only because it is the only shallow water not freezing around here. They can find food here.

I do not get those birds. They can fly. Why would you stay here in the cold and not fly south?

We are under a weather warning since this morning. We are supposed to have snow right now.
As you can see!

The glass protector on my phone did its job. It broke, but not the phone's glass. The protector is guaranteed for life. I already changed it one. I am making another claim today. It is very easy. It is all done online.
BTW, this protector does its job. It is me that is hard on my phone.

Jeremy told us, Kristin, himself and Natasha have COVID. Because Kristin and Jeremy are vaccinated, they have very mild symptoms. As for Natasha, she is a little off. Jeremy told me he is doing OK because it is the "female COVID" they have.
Funny guy!

A helmet with supper?
Safety first!

We are still waiting for the BIG snowstorm.

Friday, February 4, 2022.

The snowstorm finally arrived last night.
And we have way less snow than forecast. Good.

Patricia came over to plow our driveway. She asked me if I wanted to go for s drive and plow with her? Sure!
We plowed 5 or 6 driveways in Brighton.

Jeremy, Kristin are still battling COVID and it is mild.
Natasha is not so lucky. She sleeps a lot while her body battles COVID.

More photos of our two beautiful girls from Saskatchewan.

Kristin takes beautiful photos.

How about us?
Lazy days. We watch the Olympics on TV.
Michele has started a pair of converse slippers for Gabriel. Once she is done, she will make one for Natasha and one pair for her doll.

Sunday, February 6, 2022.

Michele just finished Gabriel's pair of converse slippers.
She starting Natasha's converse now.

Natasha is all excited to talk to her brother.

Are they going skiing?

Nope! Natasha loves this kind of activity.

Monday, February 7, 2022

Michele has completed Natasha's converse slippers. So far, Michele had done one pair for Gabriel (green) and one for Natasha (pink).

I found those two photos in one of the groups I belong to on FB. They are from the late 1990s.
What a fun time it was. This was in 10 FTTS in Cold Lake, Alberta.

I begin washing and waxing of the MH. The first thing I do is wash the roof. It is a textured metal roof. I am using a brush to clean the roof. It takes time. I also take my time to do it right. After it is all washed, I will wax it to help protect it and make it easier to clean in the future. I am in no rush. The MH does not have to go out of the garage until mid-April.

I washed the front and left sides of the MH today.

Meanwhile, Michele continues with one more pair of converse for Natasha's doll.

I am a little sore at the end of the day.

Wednesday, February 9, 2022.

I really have to thank Jan and Jannie for letting us use their garage while they are away. Jan even recommended washing the MH with warm water!
I am done washing the MH today.

Thursday, February 10, 2022.

I am taking a day off from the MH. This will give time for the MH to really dry out before I start waxing it.

The geese found a little patch of green grass on our front lawn. They came in droves to eat it.

I now have clean rags to wax the MH.

I am not as sore today.

Friday, February 11, 2022.

I waxed the roof and the inside of the basement doors. I used a Wash &Wax waterless spray. Easy and quick.

I will be waxing the side and front/back with the car polish Nu Finish.
I am not using a polisher for waxing. I am using only my arms...

After I finished waxing the roof, I started waxing the front and the left side.

A warm front has been upon us for a few days. The road is not pleasant now.

I am taking my time waxing. As my dad used to say, "I don't work for the devil, only his brother!"

Saturday, February 12, 2022.

Today, I finished waxing the left, back and some of the R/H sides.

Michele is working on a different project now.
Finger puppets. Two stars.

And two elephants for fingers.

Sunday, February 13, 2022.

By the end of the afternoon, the MH is waxed.
I am happy with the results. I m going to let the wax harden for a few days and come back and give a second coat of wax.

The warm weather is gone and replaced by a cold front. For the first time, the house smells like the crawl space under the house. It is coming from the furnace and it is not pleasant. I am going to look at the furnace and everything else in the crawl space to figure out where the smell comes from.
I am on my way down.

Looking at the furnace from the trap door.

I had a good look at everything and found nothing wrong. I decided to change the furnace air filter just because I could!

I am on my way out of the crawl space.

The air filter was pretty dirty. I do not think it was the problem, but we will see in the next few days.

Some photos from Jeremy and his fishing day.

And we got this photo of Gabriel at hockey. He is in the penalty box. Look at his face? Not happy.

Monday, February 14, 2022.

The weird smell we had in the house is gone.

It is not a very busy day today.

We received some photos from our friends Jannie and Jan. They are in Ajo, Arizona.

They too watched the Super Bowl with friends.

Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

Jannie and Jan are riding with friends in the desert.
They find all kinds of "things" in the desert.

Until next time.

Life is good...
