Saturday, October 1, 2022.

We are at the pool watching Natasha's swimming lesson. She is the only one in her group.
This is her third lesson. She has already completed a few levels.

She came back with us to the MH for the sleepover.
But first, a one kilometer walk at the Lazo Marsh.

Can you see the bird on the branch?

She is so funny, she talks all the time.

She is hungry after a walk like that.

Natasha deserves a dessert, a mini Aero chocolate bar.

Even with her bad cold, she sleeps pretty well.

The first thing we do after her nap is throwing rocks in the ocean.

That little girl is always hungry.

Natasha knows where the blackberries are located.

It is still warm enough to have a popsicle.

We spent some time at the playground.

This is a big supper for a little girl.

She is full!

Natasha has to take medicines for her cold. She does not care for the medication!

Natasha loves this part of her stay with us. Watching TV with grand-maman in her bed with snacks and glow sticks.

Because of her cold, she snores like a locomotive. Too funny!

Even with her cough, she sleeps pretty well.

Sunday, October 2, 2022.

We are not used to getting up at six thirty in the morning!

Nothing like breakfast and watching cartoons.

Natasha loves bubbles.

Before we take her home, we go for a walk at the Comox marina.

We just missed some seals by 20 minutes.

After lunch, I tackle our other problem. A water leak in the freshwater tank area.
It is not leaking all the time! I am going to do some investigation and tests to find it.

Monday, October 3, 2022

Natasha could not go to daycare today. She has a cough.
Jeremy has a cough too. He is not feeling well.
Kristin has an interview for a job in town
So, we are looking after Natasha for the day.
We are on our way to the MH.

It is a nice day. The sun is warm. Why not make bubbles?

Michele took Natasha to the small library in the RV Park.

Natasha is tired and hungry.

She sure eats good.

She is having a nap in our bed.

After her nap, we watch a little TV. Jeremy and Kristin have invited us for supper.

But before we go to the house, we stop for a walk in the wood with Natasha.

Natasha is being towed!

We had a good meal with our loved ones.

Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

Not much happened today. Here are some photos from Jeremy.
They saw a 3 inch slug.

Wednesday, October 5, 2022.

We bought tickets for the play Steel Magnolias at the Courtenay Little Theatre.
We are going to the afternoon presentation.

A photo of the cast from the theatre.

This is our view, not bad.

We really enjoyed this play.

Kristin and Jeremy asked us if we could take Natasha for an overnight. They are very sick.
Sure! We are here to help when we can.
We had a good evening with Natasha. She is easy to look after.

Thursday, October 6, 2022.

She is easy to look after, but she wakes up early.

We took Natasha to the daycare in the morning.
We may look after Natasha tonight too if they don't feel any better.
Jeremy is down for the count and Kristin is coughing a lot.

This is the water pump with a leak.
I took it apart but did not find any indication of where the leak is from.
When I re-assemble the pump, I use gasket/glue on the pump. If this does not fix it, I will have to change the pump.

Meanwhile, Michele had a power nap.

We are taking Natasha for the night. Jeremy and Kristin are not feeling any better, if not worst.
No problem, we love having her.
The first thing we did once back at the MH, was bubbles!

Reading a good story before bedtime.

Friday, October 7, 2022.

Natasha woke up a little before 6 am. It is a little early for us, but hey!
Ready for daycare.

She loves daycare.

We stop for a quick visit with Jeremy and Kristin during the afternoon. They are feeling better. They will take Natasha back.
They have some very good news, Kristin got the job on base. We are very happy for her.

Saturday, October 8, 2022.

Kristin and Jeremy are not feeling up to going to the pool with Natasha for her swimming lesson. No problem, I will go in the water with her. Her instructor is James.

Natasha can be strong-headed at times. If she does not want to do something, she does not do it!
She is still quite advanced for her age group.

It is done. It went well.

It is sleepover time! This is special, not like when we had her a few days back.
We went for a walk in the forest near the RV Park. We saw this furry caterpillar. Natasha was not too sure about that.

Grand-maman and Natasha doing crazy stuff.

Part of the walk is having a snack. We had some Rice Krispies squares.

Back at the MH, we had popsicles.

We played with the water guns.

And we made bubbles.
Natasha is chasing them with her water gun and the fly swatter.
It is funny.

Michele and Natasha went to the playground for more fun things to do.

She loves chicken nuggets and banana muffins for supper.

A zombie!

Natasha loves our little bath!

We have a campfire with Natasha.
It is not quite dark enough and she does not really care for the campfire.

Being the sleepover, she watches a movie in our bedroom and gets to play with glow sticks.

Natasha did not take a nap today. She is overly tired and it shows in her behaviour.

Sunday, October 9, 2022.

Natasha had a good night of sleep.
She is up by 6:15 am and it is, like I said before, a little early for us.

Watching cartoons and the sunrise.

What is breakfast without cartoons?

Natasha found this mask in the little library in the Park.

Natasha is getting a little more "difficult" as the morning is progressing.
She is back home by 10:15 am.

She may be "difficult" at times, but we love her so much.

Monday, October 10, 2022

Jeremy is picking me up for a drive. He is tired of staying home since he has been sick.

Today is Thanksgiving. Natasha's daycare is closed.
She is sleeping.

We just went for a drive around town.

Michele finished her new project, pumpkins. She is pretty happy with how it turned out.

As for me? I clean all six position lights of the MH.

Michele made nachos for supper. It was good.

It was very windy this afternoon. The wind gusts were around 50 km/h.
The wind was from the north, so coming from behind the MH.
It was not too bad inside the MH.

Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

We have to decide where we were going to camp next fall.
We go back a revisit Seal Bay RV Park.

This is a good idea for a sign!

We made our decision.
We booked our stay at the park we are in right now.
We are booked for September and October 2023.

Jeremy came by for a visit this afternoon.

Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

It is a beautiful morning. I went for a walk along the shore.

Ah, the things we see!

Back home, I tackle another maintenance task that I have been pushing back for a while.
Cleaning the ceiling fans in the MH. They really needed it!

So clean and bright!

Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Another beautiful day in front of us.
We are (re) visit "Goats on Roof" in Coombs.
To get there, we take the Oceanside Highway (19 A).

Goats on Roof, Old Country Market.

And the goats on the roof.

The market has become one of the big attractions on the Island.
It is not only a Market. It is specialty shops that moved into the area too.

Our new friend!

It used to have a restaurant at one time. It is closed now, probably closed during COVID and never re-opened. Maybe one day?
Here is the market. The products come from all over the world.

After a few purchases, we visited the other shops.

Sadly, many shops are now closed.

We had been here in 2012 when Gabriel was born.

It was recommended to have lunch at this food truck.

The price was good, the food was OK, no more than that.

We found one BIG geocache by a store. Yep, this is a big ammo can.

A Dutch Store!
We have to go in.

These photos are for our friends Jannie and Jan. We too, have wooden shoes.

More photos for our friends.

Michele found a thrift store in Parkville. We will check out a few of them.
All the gas stations we passed this morning were selling gasoline for around $2.309.
Surprise, one gas station was at $2.059. The car is now full.

We had a good day. It is time to go home. This is how big the Comox Valley is.

Jeremy and Kristin are not feeling any better. We are taking Natasha with us for the night. This way, they will rest better.
And, it is fun to have Natasha with us.

Friday, October 14, 2022.

Natasha had a good night of sleep. She only got in grand-maman's arms after she woke up at her regular time.

The normal routine, breakfast and cartoons for breakfast.

We have to take Natasha to daycare this morning.
As we drove by Point Holmes, we saw this sunrise.

Natasha is back with us after supper. Jeremy and Kristin are getting better, but more good nights of sleep will help them get better.
No problem for us!

It is Friday! Movie and junk food in grand-mama's bed. With glow sticks to top it all off.

The nights are getting cooler. I checked the water pump I fixed the other day.
Yep! It leaks when it gets colder!?!?!
I will have to buy a new pump in the next few days.

Saturday, October 15, 2022.

Natasha needs a big breakfast, she has a swimming lesson this morning.

Natasha loves to sing, but we do not know English children's songs!
YouTube to the rescue.

Kristin and Jeremy are not feeling good enough to go in the water with Natasha. Grand-maman and grand-papa are going to the swimming lesson.

Scott is the instructor this morning. He is very good with Natasha.

We leave Natasha with her parents after the swimming lesson.
We make the offer to take Natasha again this evening.

They bring Natasha back to us after supper. She now has a doctor's bag.
She loves playing doctor and patient too.

One more evening with a movie, junk food and glow sticks.

Kristin went with Natasha for some awesome photos this afternoon.

Until next time.

Life is good...
