Sunday, October 16, 2022.

We are not as rushed this morning. This is her first breakfast!

Benoit called via video. It is always fun to chat with him.

We all went to the doctor this morning, including the dolls.

Natasha had a second breakfast with grand-maman and another one with me!

As we were about to leave the MH, Jeremy showed up. He decided to come with us for a walk in the forest.

One of the residents!

Michele and I started to take medication for our cold/pneumonia. We are getting the same thing Kristin and Jeremy have.
Hopefully, we will not get as sick as them.

Natasha is spending one more night with us.

Monday, October 17, 2022.

This is what the kids did last night.

I know that Jeremy is sick and tired of being in the house. I have to go to town. I asked him if he wanted to come too. He does.
One of my stops is at the RV store. I want to see the price of water pumps.
At $ 199.00, I am sure I can get a better deal somewhere else.

Jeremy went to one of the salmon rivers in the area.
All the vertical lines you see in the water are salmons.

Jeremy is getting better, but not good enough to ride his bike.
He uses his electric scooter with Natasha instead.

Natasha still loves to play doctor.

I am all for buying local, but when local means paying $100 more for a water pump. I will buy online.
I got the same water pump for only $100 on Amazon. It should be here Wednesday.

Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

Jeremy wanted to go fishing today. He asked me to join him. Sure!
Michele is taking photos from the shore.

She goes to Point Holmes to see if she can see us.
We are fishing about where the arrow is pointing. The campground is on the left of the photo.

At Point Holmes, you have benches and picnic tables and birds too!

Michele found us. Even with the "big" lens on the camera, we look pretty far.
We are trying the new (to Jeremy) outboard motor. It is a Mercury 2.5 HP, four-stroke. It runs very well.

I caught the first fish. Jeremy got the other after. We can not keep them as the season is closed for them.
We have a lot of fun on the water.

The Search & Rescue helicopter is practicing rescue with a boat further out on the water.

Michele took a photo with her cell phone through the binoculars. Not bad.

We were done fishing around noon.

Michele is not feeling well. She sleeps a lot.

We keep on taking our medication.

Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

We spend the day taking it easy.

Jeremy is working evening. Kristin has plans for supper time in town.
In the meantime, we are looking after Natasha. She is funny when she plays in her bath.

We have received the water pump from Amazon.

Thursday, October 20, 2022.

It is the same pump as the store in town, for $100 less.

The leaky pump.

The yellow is the new one.

And done!

Autumn is here and here on the Island, which means cooler temperatures, more rain and winds.
I decided that before the rain comes, I will put away all the outside stuff, like the carpets, chairs, bikes, etc.

Friday, October 21, 2022.

Michele coughed during the day. As for me? It was last night.
I slept part of the night in the living room.

Jeremy, Kristin and Natasha invited us to join them for a walk in Seal Bay Park. Michele will pass on the offer, but I am going.

Our pretty Kristin.

We are getting closer to the shore!

Seal Bay Beach. We could hear some seals in the distance.

We are just enjoying the view.

Natasha found a shelter.

And up we go!

This was a nice little hike. It is a good thing Michele did not come. She would have had a hard time with the hill because of her breathing.

Saturday, October 22, 2022.

Another day of rest at the MH.
Natasha was supposed to come for her weekly sleepover, but we are not feeling well enough.
We need to rest more and get better.

Kristin sent us more photos of Natasha.
She is the "Chef".

Natasha did not want to go for her nap. Once in her "fort", she fell asleep in no time!

She may not be at the MH for a sleepover, but she can have popcorn at home and watch a movie.

It was a good rest day for us.

Sunday, October 23, 2022.

The wind started to pick up in the late afternoon, and so did the rain.

More photos from Jeremy and Kristin.

More nap in the fort.

More beach time.

One more rest day at the MH.

Monday to Wednesday, October 24 to the 26, 2022.

For those three days, we just relaxed and try to get better.

We stopped by the pharmacy/grocery store to order my medication for six months. We saw some cooked chicken in one-kilo containers for only $5.50. We took two. We will freeze them.

What a day, rain while the sun was out!

As I said, we relaxed quite a bit.

I almost forgot. We booked the ferry from Duke Points (Nanaimo) to Tsawwassen (Vancouver) for November 1 st at 10:15 am.
This is when our migration south will begin. We will be heading to Yuma, Arizona.

Thursday, October 27, 2022.

The wind picked up overnight. Wind from the south/east at 45 km/h with gusts up to 70 km/h.

Let's say it was not nice in the MH. I have been up since five am.

We do not have much time left on the Island.
We decided to take Natasha for the next two nights with us.
We picked her up from the daycare to take her to the MH.
Here they are coming back from the mini library in the campground.
You see puddles, you jump in them!

We danced.

We watch cartoons while grand-maman prepares supper.

Nothing like pasta as a meal and smarties as a dessert,

Grand-papa has to read a story.

And the good part of the sleepover starts. Grand-maman, junk food and glow-sticks, happiness.

Natasha literally fell asleep.

Friday, October 28, 2022.

Things are moving this morning. We have to drop Natasha off at daycare this morning.
She loves her breakfast in the MH.

We pick up Natasha after daycare and take her back to the MH.
She plays in the playground in the Park.

We have a lot of fun with Natasha.

She is very hungry tonight.

A clean Natasha.

A bone as a glow stick.

We love having her with us.

Saturday, October 29, 2022.

It is a little slower this morning.
Here is the first and second breakfast she had.

A little while later, she has another breakfast with grand-maman.

Michele made some puppets with crochet. One for me and one for Natasha.
They are opposite colours.

We joined Jeremy and Kristin at the house because Natasha has her swimming lesson this morning.

She is always hungry when she is done with her swimming lessons.

After her swimming lesson, we head back to the MH, only to come back for supper. We have ham. The ham we were supposed to have at Thanksgiving. They were too sick to have it then.

Thank you, Kristin, for the good meal.

Sunday, October 30, 2022.

Not much happened today. We started to pack the MH for our travel Tuesday morning.

Monday, October 31, 2022

It is Halloween!
This is Natasha when she went to daycare.

We joined Jeremy, Kristin and Natasha for supper and to go Treat or Treating.
Mother and daughter are ready for Halloween.

The houses are ready for the little monsters.

Off they go!

Lots of dead people this year.

Some are works of art.

When Natasha got back home, she helped me hand out candies.

Now it is time to taste all the goodies.

She is fun to watch how she sucks on candies.

How she has changed over three years.

It is a sad moment. We have to say goodbye to our loved ones.
We will see you in the spring.

We are always sad when we say goodbye.

Until next time.

Life is good...
