Wednesday, February 16, 2022.

Kristin sends us many photos. We love them. Natasha is waiting for grand-maman.

Thursday, February 17, 2022.

I am taking Michele to the Toronto Pearson Airport this morning.
Michele is going to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
The weather is not very nice, rain, lots of rain. It will change to snow later in the day.

No, the sky is not blue. This photo is from the internet.
Safe travel Michele. Give a big hug to everyone for me.

The aircraft Michele was in for her flight from Calgary

Jeremy is waiting for Michele. Here she is.

Ahhh.

We had lots of rain in the Trenton area.
We even have lakes in the RV Park.

During the evening, the rain turned to snow. We are under a snowfall warning. 15 to 25 cm is forecasted.

Friday, February 18, 2022.

By morning, we received only between 5 to 10 cm of snow.

I shovelled the snow in front of the doors. Patricia or Andrew will come by to plow the road sometime in the next few days.

Saturday, February 19, 2022.

We received more snow last night.

A few hours later, the sun is back. The wind has increased. We have strong winds for the rest of the day.

More shovelling.

Patricia came by to plow. When she was done, she asked me if I wanted to join her while she plows more driveway.
Of course.

Sunday, February 20, 2022.

More photos from Saskatchewan. Thank you, Kristin.

Who has never eaten snow?

My supper for the next few days.

It is time to apply the second coat of wax to the MH.
Everything was going well until I tried moving the slides. The left hand, forward slide close, but later will not open. The bedroom slide does not move at all. The right-hand slide moves in a few inches and stops. I will have to fix that when I am done waxing.
I am done waxing the front and left side by mid-afternoon. I stopped because I ran out of wax. I am off to Canadian Tire to buy more wax. Today is Family Day in Ontario. Most of the stores are closed for the day. I went back home empty-handed.

I received more photos from Kristin.
Natasha loves grand-maman.

I do not know what happened, but Natasha is not happy.

Natasha is also very happy her brother is with them for a week.

Gabriel played with his good friend, Joshua.

Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

The first thing I did this morning is go to Canadian Tire to buy wax.
I finished waxing in the afternoon. I am very happy with the result.
I will come back tomorrow and fix the slides.

The rain started in the middle of the afternoon. It rained hard for the rest of the day.

In Saskatchewan, Jeremy, Michele and Gabriel went ice fishing.

I have to say, Jeremy is well equipped for ice fishing. The only good fisherman was Gabriel.

By mid-evening, I was not feeling very good, tummy ache.

Wednesday, February 23, 2022.

I am not feeling well. Not COVID, just flu-like symptoms.
I am not going to work on the MH.

We have pretty weird weather today from sunny skies to rain and snow, back to sunny skies.

Natasha really loves her brother.
They have something special.

I am feeling better as the day goes on, not 100% yet.

Thursday, February 24, 2022.

I was looking at the weather for today and tomorrow. I am supposed to go to Montreal tomorrow and visit Benoit. The weather for Friday is not good. We have a lot of snow in the forecast. I texted Benoit to see if I could arrive today vice tomorrow.
As I wait for his answer, I try to fix the slides on the MH.

At the MH, I check the fuses and circuit breakers (CB). I do not have an electrical schematic for the MH. I am kind of going half-blind.

All is good with the fuses and CB.
On a hunch, I tried starting the MH. Nothing. A similar situation had happened a few years ago. A fuse had blown in the engine compartment. I decided to check it out.

All the fuses are good!

The next step, check the battery itself. It was made in 2014. It is over seven years old now, probably at the end of its life.
It has only 4 volts, not 12 or over like normal. This is the cause of my problem. Easy to fix.

Let me try to explain. The MH battery keeps the slides from moving. The slides use electricity from the "house" batteries. A built safety has been added to make sure you cannot move the slides when the engine is running/driving. If the MH battery is low, a solenoid keeps the electricity flowing from the "house" batteries to the slides system. With the MH battery's low voltage, the solenoid falls into a fail/safe mode and stops the flow of electricity to go to the slides system. It does what it was designed to do.

Meanwhiles, Benoit contacted me. I can go today. I will leave after lunch.
I will replace the MH battery next week.

I arrive at Benoit's place at supper time.

We shoot the breeze, drink a few beers and watch a movie.

Friday, February 25, 2022.

Benoit and I spent the day at home. It is snowing pretty hard today.
Dominique, Benoit's friend, came over for supper and evening. We had a lot of fun. Dominique is a very good person. I am happy I finally met her.

Once again, I have to say a big Thank You to Kristin for sending so many fun and beautiful photos.

With all the snow falling, I am glad I came yesterday and not today. I can only imagine what the roads look like today.

Saturday, February 26, 2022.

I am back on the road just before lunch.
The roads are good, except for the last 5 km. It is snowing hard. It is Lake-effect snow.
I got home late afternoon.

The photo does not show how heavy it is snowing.

Sunday, February 27, 2022.

Patricia came by to plow the road.

An hour later, it is snowing hard.

Twenty minutes later, the sun is shining.

Monday to Wednesday, February 28 to March 6, 2022.

Not much has happened at the beginning of the week.

The most recent photos from Saskatchewan.
If you look closely at the photo, Natasha wears her converses, so does the doll.

Grand-maman is really enjoying her time with the family.

And for me, in Ontario, sometimes snow, sometimes rain.

Until next time.

Life is good...
