Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

Some photos from Comox.
Not one Christmas tree, but 8 Christmas trees.

Jeremy had to build this extension for the throttle for his outboard motor. When he is alone in the boat, he has to sit in the middle of the boat to keep it balanced.

We got invited to a happy hour with friends.

It was fun.

Thursday, November 17, 2022.

The windshield was very, very dirty. I had to clean it with steel wool size 0-0-0-0 to bring it back to its original state.

We had lunch at the park patio. For four dollars you had a hot dog with a large weener and either a beer or a pop.
Not bad, but nothing special.

We love the pool and hot tub in this Park.

And another nice Arizona sunset.

Friday, November 18, 2022.

Now it the time to wash the MH. I will wash one section at a time over the next few days.
Today is the front and two sides up to the slides. This way, I can install the shades over the windshield and two windows.

This is our site for the month.

We are right at the corner.

Saturday, November 19, 2022.

Today I am washing the right side and the back of the MH.

Jeremy, Kristin and Natasha went to Mount Washington to play in the snow.

They brought Natasha's shovel for her to use in the snow.

Sunday, November 20, 2022.

I am washing the left side of the MH and I am done.

Why a frozen pizza? Simply because our friend, Michelle, had this one as a snack. I loved it (for a frozen pizza).

Tonight is the 109th Grey Cup game in Canada.
The Snowbirds were part of the opening act.

The Toronto team won the Cup.

We are starting to look for a more permanent place here in Yuma.
We are looking for a 5th wheel to leave here and stay here in the winter and have one 5th Wheel in Canada to stay in the summer.
We are in no rush. We are waiting for the best deal we can find. If not this year, then next year.

Monday, November 21, 2022.

November is probably the best month to go to Los Algodones, Mexico, for dentists, eyewear and drugstore.
We are on our way to Los Algodones.

First, we enter California and move our clock back one hour.

Once in Mexico, we move our clock forward one hour.

We did not have an appointment. We have to wait to be fitted in.
The is the waiting room at our dentist.

Michele does not need any work done on her teeth.
As for me, I need to take out one wisdom tooth and get a new mouthguard.
The cost for all this, including the X-ray, is about $ 525 CDN.

After it is all done, we head to the border. We had to wait only about 45 minutes, it is not too bad.
We are back in California and moving our clock back one hour.

Eleven minutes later, we are back in Arizona and move our clock forward one hour.

OK! We did not change our clocks at all.

This is the route we took from the RV Park to Los Algodones.

My jaw is a little sore, but nothing more.

Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

We received more photos from Kristin and Jeremy.
Natasha is all excited about cleaning and peeling potatoes.

On the patio, from one to four this afternoon, we have a local band playing music. They are The Krazy Kanucks.

Natasha has a big bed now. She looks so small in it!

We had our first flat tire on the bikes today. I am adding an extra tube between the inflated tube and the tire. This will give more "rubber" and the sand burr will not puncture the tube anymore. I did this on all four tires. We will not have another flat tire.

It is bingo night again. Michele won $ 24.

Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

Today is a shopping day in town.
We treat ourselves to a Chinese Buffet at Lin's.

Michele loves Chinese food. I love meat and crawfish.

It was a good and busy day.

Thursday, November 24, 2022.

We woke up to a windy day. We can hardly see the mountains because of the dust in the air.

More photos from Jeremy, Kristin and Natasha.
This is a photo through the baby monitor.

You have to dress the part when you decorate the Christmas tree.

Natasha was a big helper. She even gave instructions to her mom.

Tada!

Beautiful.

It is Thanks Giving in the U.S. today.
The RV Park is putting on a meal for the park residents.
We are with our friend Gaétan.

In front of Gaétan is Michelle, his wife.
In red is Dennis. In front of him is his wife Gail.

The turkey and ham were excellent.

We had a good time at the table.

Friday and Saturday, November 25 and 26, 2022.

We are settling in slowly. Some days will probably not have any photos.
Natasha.

Natasha is making a Birthday Card for her father, Jeremy.
She even got to test one birthday cupcake.

Sunday, November 27, 2022.

Jeremy bought another canoe like the one he had in Moose Jaw.

I was not feeling too good this morning. I decided to give myself a COVID test.
The one on the left is mine, positive. The one on the right is Michele, negative.

I hurt all over. I am tired and got a wicked headache. I slept a large part of the day.

According to the Yuma County Health authority, I have to isolate for 5 days and wear a mask for the following 5 days.

Monday, November 28, 2022.

It was a miserable Monday for me. I check the symptoms on the internet. I am normal in my COVID.
Michele makes fun of me.
If you remember, our Battery Control Center is broken. I found one on the internet for $ 750 US D. Ouch!
I decided to call the manufacturer and see if they sell them. Surprise! They do, for only $ 250  US D, shipping included.
I ordered it. It should arrive Wednesday.

Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

The water in Yuma is not the greatest. It contains a high percentage of sodium. If you take medication for high blood pressure, it is not recommended.
The solution? You buy water at one of the many potable water kiosks around town. At this one, you pay 25¢ for one gallon of good water.

The Comox is under a snow warning today and tonight.
Natasha is at daycare. She is ready for the bad weather.

Jeremy Had bought a small snowblower for only $50 in Moose Jaw.
I asked him if he liked it. He said even with wet snow, it beats having to shovel.

As for my health? Sometimes I feel good, then I feel bad.
I received the items I ordered from Amazon.com. I ordered an alarm for propane, a Fire Stick (I will tell you more later) and an electric fireplace to replace the one we have that does not work anymore.

Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

Comox received lots of snow (for them) last night. In certain areas, they received over 25 cm of snow. They even lost electricity for a while. Natasha thinks all is great.

The first thing I want to do today is changing the propane alarm. This one is too old and does not work anymore.

The new one.

It is just like an aircraft. You remove other things to get to the one you want to replace.
I had to remove the fire extinguisher to access the wiring.

All done. It works.

Next is the electric fireplace. We could not find the same one.

Out goes the old one.

The new one.

I had to make light modifications to make it fit in the same cavity.

Next, the fake bricks around the fireplace.

This too, had to be modified.

I made it all work.

Here it is. I like it. Michele still liked the old one better, but she is happy with this one too.

I also received the Battery Control Center. I will change it tomorrow.

Until next time.

Life is good...
