Sunday, January 16, 2022.

Natasha looks so small next to her brother Gabriel in his goalies' gears.

Michele started a new pair of converse slippers for a friend of Benoit. This is the soles.

We are under a snowstorm warning for tonight and tomorrow.

Monday, January 17, 2022.

The storm started in the middle of the night. This is what it looks like at 7:30 this morning.

It is the wind that makes it worst.

We are looking at the bathroom window.

This is what it looks like at noon. Are we losing the dog?

The patio in the back. The wind swirls back there.

It is not getting better!

Benoit got his third vaccine today, so did Amy Winehouse I guess.

Andrew and Patricia came over to plow the driveway. A big thank you to both.

One of the seasonal campers came to the area to ride his snow machine.

It is light snow, easy to shovel.

Shortly after lunch, the weather cleared right up!

Our driveway.

Michele has started a new pair of "Converse" slippers. This pair is for Phillippe, a friend of Benoit.

Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

I decided to move back to using Michele's laptop.
At the same time, my second monitor decided to die. I borrowed the extra monitor from the office as a temporary second monitor. It is a 22 inches monitor, way too big.

So, I went shopping on Market Place (Facebook) for s smaller second monitor.
Found one! We are on our way to pick it up.

It is beautiful to see all that nice, white, snow.

After we got back home from picking up the monitor, we skyped with Benoit. If all goes well, we plan on visiting him on Sunday for two nights. After that, come back here with him for a few days.

I installed the second monitor. This is my setup. The "new" monitor is 19 inches. The "new" monitor only cost us $20.

The "converses" are coming along well.

Happy Birthday, Natasha!
Two years old, a big girl!
We can't wait to see her and the whole family.

We have a heatwave!

It is melting.

We even did a little skyping with Jeremy and Natasha.

Some more photos of the Alberta trip.
Kristin, Jeremy and Natasha went to Alberta to visit Gabriel at his hockey tournament.
In no particular order.

Jeremy told us they had a great time.

Thursday, January 20, 2022.

Kristin sent us this photo of Natasha's birthday celebration at daycare.

The heatwave is over. Now it is time for a cold wave.
The temperatures are dropping. The wind is picking up.

It is hard to see, but we now have an ice cover.

Michele worked very hard. She finished crocheting the "converse" slippers.

Phillippe, Benoit's friend, will be happy to have them.

Friday, January 21, 2022.

Last night, it was -28° C with the windshield.

Our friends, Lynn and Robert, are cleaning up some old slides. They found these.
We were stationed in West Germany towards the end of 1988. We were on holiday in Switzerland. We were with two other couples, Lynn, Robert, Denis and Anne. Of course, Michele,  myself, Jeremy and Benoit in the stroller.

Anne was doing the big red guy!

The four years (1985 - 1989) we were stationed in West Germany with the Royal Canadian Air Force are the highlight of my career and our lives.

Saturday, January 22, 2022.

Natasha is celebrating her birthday (again).

Who has her birthday on the same day as Natasha?
Grand-maman Audrey!

We had an easy day at home, slowly preparing for our trip to Montreal.

Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Welcome to Québec.

At Benoit's place, we get to work right away. Re-arranging and upgrading Benoit's kitchen cabinet interior.

We had a "TV" evening with Benoit.

Jeremy sent us this photo of him helping a friend on the lake. An all-wheel drive helping a 4X4?

We have a busy day tomorrow.

Monday, January 24, 2022

We have a busy day in front of us. One of the projects is to put some contact paper on the wall next to the stove and as a backsplash.

I explained to Benoit that a house/apartment is never square. We start right at the corner with the paper covering both walls.

The hardest one to place.

We measure twice and cut once, right?

It is moving along quickly. This is not one of my favourite jobs.

All done.

Benoit is very happy with how it turned out.

After the kitchen was done, Michele and Benoit did a big clean-up/sorting of Benoit's clothes. He has a lot of clothes.

After working so hard, pizza time.

Tuesday, January 25, 2022.

Today we are going back to Trenton. We bring Benoit with us.

We are bringing Benoit's clothes to wash/sort some more.
The car is so full. Even Michele is "surrounded" by bags in the back seat.

At home, Michele does laundry. It looks worst than it looks.

Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Natasha had her 2 year old doctor's appointment today. Kristin said she did it like a pro.

Benoit loves to play WII Bowling. We had lots of fun.

Thursday, January 27, 2022.

Natasha loves her new flower barrette.

Michele had her fitting at Helix for her new hearing aids.

The wind is blowing snow in our driveway.

Michele is at the "Benoit Hair Salon".

Friday, January 28, 2022.

We are heading back to Montreal to drop off Benoit. The car is still full!

Natasha loves stickers.

Saturday, January 29, 2022.

We left Montreal early this morning.
We saw many trucks going to Ottawa to protest the sanitary measures.
What a bunch of @#%$@#*&.

The roads are super nice. We arrived home 4 hours later.

Patricia had quite a surprise when she went to the park shop. The temperature was down to -2° C.
The heating system is not working. Somebody will be coming tomorrow to have a look at it. In the meantime, she set up a few electric heaters and one propane heater.

Sunday, January 30, 2022.

I saw a nice sunrise this morning.

We also skyped with Jeremy, Kristin and Natasha.

One of the photos she sent us. Natasha is not a princess, but a Queen!

Who is that?
Our friend, the fox.

He decided to dig a den under the sunroom. Last year that is where it was. Jan blocked it, but he tried again this winter.

After I looked at it. I think the fox will find a better place.
I fill the hole. He did not make it too far.

I was wondering what to use to prevent them from coming back. Why not use red chilli pepper dry flacks and black pepper.
I guess we will see how it goes in a few days.

We had a very good week.

Monday, January 31, 2022.

Did somebody moved in with us?
We have mice in the house. This is not the first time. It happens when you live in the country.
We go into attack mode. Mousetraps are set up. In less than an hour, we caught two.

We always wanted to try one of those Air Fryers.
Michele found a used one for only $9 on Market Place.
On her way back, Michele saw this beautiful sunset.

Here it is. It is in pretty good condition.
We have to try it after we make sure it is clean.
The fries are better than in the oven.

It is a little big for the MH. We will see when we move back in the MH if we keep it or not.

Until next time.

Life is good...
