1 to 15 November 2023   16 to 30 November 2023

Thursday, November 16, 2023.

We have cloudy skies this morning. They sure look different.

At lunchtime, we headed to Los Algodones, Mexico, with Judith and Eric. Judith has some issues with her new glasses. We tag along as interpreters to confirm nothing is missed when Judith talks to the optometrist.

Our girls are on the sidewalk. We can see the US/Mexico border.

Look at all the wires going from the building to wherever.

Judith had her new glasses redone. They are good now.

Friday, November 17, 2023.

The happy hour is at our place today. We had a lot of fun again.

Saturday, November 18, 2023.

Jeremy is giving a treat to Natasha. They are having a donut at Tim Hortons.

She got a wooden reindeer. She is pretty good at following instructions.

Natasha wanted to sleep with her reindeer, but Jeremy told her reindeer do not like to sleep in beds, but they love watching TV.

We had a kind of potluck at Michelle and Gaétan. We brought what we wanted to eat, mostly steaks. Gaétan cooked them.
We also brought some side dishes.

And we have some escargot.

After the good meal, we enjoyed the nice weather for the evening.

Sunday, November 19, 2023.

Jeremy assembled the Christmas carousel we bought years ago in Germany.

Today is the 110th Grey Cup game. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are playing against the Montreal Alouettes.
A group of us are at Dennis and Gail to watch the game outside. Everyone brought snacks.

The Montreal Alouettes won with a score of 28 to 24 against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
It was a good game of Canadian football. We had a lot of food and had a great time.

Monday and Tuesday, November 20 and 21, 2023.

The routine is slowly settling in. This will have an impact on our blog. It will be shorter.
After all, how many times can we tell you we played bingo!

On Tuesday, Kristin was officially  an Officer of the Canadian Armed Forces.
Congratulations Kristin, we are so proud of you. Good luck in your next chapter in life.

Yes, we play bingo once a week. I won $51 tonight.

Wednesday, November 22, 2023.

Jeremy is flying to Montreal to attend Kristin's graduation parade. Natasha is being babysat by the neighbour.
Here she is with her suitcase, "moving" to the neighbour before going to daycare. She was so looking forward to this.
She also understands Mommy will be coming back home soon.

I finally finally finished the shed cleanup. It is only temporary since we will be moving it when the contractor comes to do the pavers (patio stones), all 400 of them.
They should start on December 11. Then, the shed will be moved back and anchored to the pavers forever. This is why it is a little half a** done. We hope to sell the RV fridge soon.

I also place the RV carpet on the gravel for now. It will be replaced with pavers.

Thursday, November 23, 2023.

Kristin graduates today.
We are ready to watch the parade on Facebook Live.

Michelle and Gaétan are over to watch the parade.

I hooked up the TV to the laptop so we could watch it on a bigger screen.

Kristin is in blue, almost in the center of the photo.

The two love birds. Bravo Kristin.

Almost a week ago, this was what she looked like. She was in Farnham for the practical part of her training.

Today is Thanksgiving in the US.
The Park is offering a free turkey dinner to the campers.
Even with the Park half full, we still had a full house.

Gaétan and I were selling 50/50 tickets.
Michele made me a nice Thanksgiving hat. A turkey hat.

The campers loved my hat. I think it helped with the selling of the 50/50 tickets.

Friday, November 24, 2023.

Our friends France and Michel came by for a visit. It is always nice to see them. Of course, I forgot to take any photos.

Kristin and Jeremy are coming back from Montreal. Jeremy booked his flight, and the military booked Kristin's flight. They do not travel on the same aircraft!

Mother and daughter finally reunited.

As for me, I received my laptop monitor, a nice 22-inch screen. I love it.

Saturday, November 25, 2023.

Amazon finally delivered the vent fan I ordered.
It will go on the vent in the bedroom. The current fan is small and noisy.
This is the one from the bathroom that broke when I turned it on the first time.

This is the one in the bedroom. It will be going to the bathroom.

Here it is in the bathroom.

The new one is going in the bedroom.

The installation is simple. This one is so quiet and moves a lot of air.

Michele is starting "couponing". She bought all this for $33, but she received $21 in coupons for her next purchase.

Sunday, November 26, 2023.

Michel and France are leaving for Casa Grande tomorrow morning. We went to visit them with Gaétan and Michelle.
Once again, I forgot to take photos.

Monday, November 27, 2023

The people we bought the 5th wheel from were very tall.
They added a riser to the toilet. The toilet was way too high for us. I am going to remove the riser.

It is not a very hard job to do.

This is the riser removed. I will sell it at the Park Wide Yard Sale on Saturday.

We now have a toilet at regular height. It makes life easier.

The people who had the 5th wheel before left many things in the 5th wheel when we bought it. We found a small Christmas tree.

We almost forgot our favourite oldest son's birthday today.
Happy Birthday Jeremy.

Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

We are at "Howling at the Moon" tonight. As I have explained before, for the two days the moon is full, they have a venue where a band plus music and when the moon comes up, we all howl at it.

The gang, from L to R, Michelle, Gaétan, Francine, Alain, Michele, Dennis, Gail and I.

An early view of the grounds.

More photos of the grounds as more people show up.

The sunsets here in Yuma are usually very nice, like this one.

Pushing Daisies is the band playing tonight. They are very good.

Michele and Gaétan.

The moon is almost ready to come up.

Almost.

Here she is. The music stops, and everyone howls at it. It is very impressive when over 1,000 people howl.

With the moon up, the music resumes. We move to where Dennis, Gail, Gaétan and Michelle are camping.
Nothing beats a real campfire.

The moon when we left the grounds at 8:30 pm.

We had a great time with good friends.

Wednesday and Thursday, November 29 and 30, 2023.

Wednesday, Michele made stuffed mushrooms with escargot and some fake crab meat.
It was very good.

Thursday, we are at the local liquidation store.
What did we see? Snowblowers? Here in Yuma! They have a little of everything, but you look for it.

Until next time.

Life is good...
