Time to move.
We are saying our goodbyes to Patricia and Kylea this morning.
Thanks Patricia, Jannie and Jan for welcoming us again, like family. It
is always fun to come back to your park.
We made a quick stop in Napanee for some propane and gasoline. It is
much cheaper in Ontario than Quebec.
Since we are going to Saint-Jerome, we do not have to drive through
Montreal. We use the "detour" by Hawkesbury.
Welcome to Quebec with its terrible roads.
Even Quebecers say so.
Shortly after we are all set-up, my sisters came over with supper for
everyone.
A little while later, my brother Rolland and his wife Suzie came over
too.
My brother has short legs. We made fun of him for a while!
It is always fun to have family over for a visit.
Let the parties begin...
Tuesday September 17, 2019
We are having supper at Christianne's place.
She suggested we should go and shop for our medieval costumes we will
be using for Marylou and Guillaume wedding in October 2020.
The theme is medieval. Off we go to a boutique. They rent and sell
medieval costumes.
Michele tries this one, but it is not the best. You will see which one
she picked below.
The cooks at work.
We had a very good meal, I kind of cut the main course from the photo,
salmon.
This is the dress Michele picked. Very nice, but Christianne has to do
some "stuff" to the dress.
Thank you Christianne for a very good meal and the good times.
Wednesday September 18, 2019
I am doing some geocaching with Rolland this morning.
Surprise! We came across this "junk yard" in the middle of the forest!
I had a very good time with my brother.
Estelle and Christianne came over for supper.
We had a very good time.
Thursday September 19, 2019
Time to flush the hot water tank. I do it every six months.
When we came back from Moose Jaw, we stopped at a few places where the
water was good but heavy with minerals.
The arrows point to some of the "residues" from the hot water tank. It
is normal to have some residue over time.
Christianne spent the afternoon with us. Here, she is getting her
jacket because it is a little cool.
Before supper time, our friends Lynn and Robert came with their trailer
to camp near us. We had a very nice fire, some pizza and lots of
laughters.
We had a very good time with our friends. It was good to see you two
again.
Friday September 20, 2019
It is time to leave for Lynn and Robert. See you next year.
Tonight's meal is at Estelle and Robert. Another very good meal and
more laughter.
Saturday September 21, 2019
Benoit is with us until tomorrow. We picked him up at the Metro
Montmorency.
Supper was at Rolland and Suzie's place. The meal was great and so was
the company.
Karole (Rolland and Suzie's daughter) went to Scotland a few months ago
and she picked up this glass and booklet about the origins of the Ross
family. Ross is the family name of our mother.
We had a great evening.
When we got back home, we stayed up and talked some more.
Sunday September 22, 2019
Our Benoit is not an early riser!
Drinking coffee and reading the news.
Michel found a used couch on Kijiji for Benoit. We borrowed Rolland's
trailer and took Benoit to have a look at the couch. Benoit loves it.
He buys it. Now is the delivery situation. Right now, in Montreal, the
Montreal Marathon is taking place. They even run in front of Benoit's
apartment!!! No way to deliver today. Tomorrow, it is supposed to rain
hard all day! We will be taking the couch to Michele's brother place
until we can deliver the couch to Benoit's apartment. We are also
leaving Saint-Jerome tomorrow morning to go to Patrice's place in
Berthierville.
With the couch delivered to Patrice and Manon's place, we head back to
the MH.
We took a quick lunch before we left Berthierville.
When we got back home, Estelle, Christianne and Robert were already
there. Rolland and Suzie joined us a short while later.
A Hot Dog supper.
We had to finish the evening indoor.
My two sisters.
This was a very busy week, but it was fun to visit family again.
Tomorrow, we are moving to Patrice and Manon's place.
Monday September 23, 2019
On our way to Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola (near Berthierville).
We drove under a light rain almost all the way.
Our setup at Manon and Patrice's place. Both of them arrived just before supper.
Patrice has a long list of things to do in the house.
Tuesday September 24, 2019
The first item on Patrice's list is the bathtub to be replace. He started, but decided to wait for me!!!
Getting ready for the new bathtub.
A discussion between the two foreman!
And we keep going.
We made some progress today, but we still have some small stuff to do before we can install the bathtub.
Manon still works in Joliette in the flooring store. Ready for supper!
Wednesday September 25, 2019
We had to put down some kind of concrete under the bathtub before we
could put it in place. Now we only have to wait until the concrete
cures to continue.
Catherine came over for a few hours and she played some video games with her sister Valérie.
This is a weird photo, but it is the inside of the MH from the patio.
A good day.
Thursday September 26, 2019
The bathtub is now in solidly in place.
We had to redo all the drainage plumbing because of the new bathtub. All is good now and no leaks.
We spent the afternoon changing toilette location and replacing toilet.
This is the first-floor toilet being moved to the basement. The new toilet will be installed here.
Patrice is getting the toilet ready to be moved.
While we were installing the new toilet, the drainage plumbing was really tight against some of the joist. We had to cut...
And add a rubber coupling to make it work.
The new, high efficiency toilet.
Meanwhile, I was getting the old (broken) toilet ready to be removed.
The upstairs toilet now in its new home in the basement.
Michele offered to clean up after all the toilets were installed. Sure!
This was a busy day.
Friday September 27, 2019
An easy day. This evening we are taking Benoit's sofa to his place along with a few other things. We are on our way to Montreal.
The sofa is going to the second floor. The arrow indicates the 3rd
floor, but it is because the lower floor is actually the half basement.
Benoit came back with us to Manon and Patrice's place for the weekend.
We played games all evening. Lots of fun!
Benoit made a cartoon picture of me in one of the games we played.
Another good day with our youngest son.
Saturday September 28, 2019
We were supposed to cut a few trees at Rock and Christine's place, but the weather did not cooperate.
They still invited us for lunch. We had a good time.
The rest of the day was pretty quiet and relaxing.
Sunday September 29, 2019
There is an uproar in the kitchen this morning!
Manon and Michele are preparing a batch of home made spaghetti sauce.
Shortly after lunch, we took Benoit back to Montreal.
We had a busy week and a great weekend with Benoit. Just plain happiness.
Monday September 30, 2019
A relaxed day at home. Patrice and Michele prepared a nice soup.
