It is getting warmer. This morning I installed the other carpet to make our place a little cozier.
We had a nice and quiet day. Here I am cooking supper.
It turned out the meat was still a little hard. The left over will be going to the crock-pot tomorrow.

Michele spent the morning shopping in a few thrift stores.
I went to the flea market next to the RV Park.
We spent some time in the indoor pool as the outside pool is still not working.
The actual road is straight, it is the collage that makes it looking curved. We are the RV with the satellite dish on the roof.
For the next week of more, the temperature should stay in the upper twenties.

The outdoor pool is still broken. So we are at the indoor pool for a dip.
Monday evening is bingo night! We are in the south hall for the bingo.
We have not won at bingo, but we did win the door prize.

We are on the move this morning. We are going to the local Best Buy.
Darn! They are not open yet. We go in the Skechers' shoes store to wait. No purchase.
When Best Buy open its doors, we go strait the TV department. We are
looking for a recorder for our TV shows. I know our satellite provider
does have a solution, but because of the way our TVs are connected. We cannot get to the TV with an HDMI cable. Also, we do
not want to talk to our provider since we are in the states and
technically, we are not supposed to use our satellite pass the border.
So, we are looking for a third party solution. We come out with a fancy
device that could/should work for us.
After Best Buy, we stop by the Spectrum store to get our internet.
Why use Spectrum's internet and not our phone internet? Simply because
where the RV Park is located, we get a very weak signal and the phone
internet is super slow. Spectrum offers a medium speed internet for $20
a month, no contract and unlimited data.
It is almost lunch time. We stop at the Lin's Buffet.
With our belly full, our next stop is at the local 99 Cents store. One of our favorite store.
On the way back home, we stop at the Weslaco Museum to buy our tickets for the theater play "Playing Doctor."
The theater is located in an old water tower refurbished as a theater. We cannot wait to see this!

A very windy day. Even out BBQ table with the BBQ was flipped over. Luckily, the BBQ did not break.
The device we bought at Best Buy does not work with satellite. Darn! We
head out to the local Pawn Shops to look for an old DVD recorder of
even a VHS machine. We found a DVD recorder for $15.
We went to the pool at 4 pm. We were alone in the pool. The weather is nice at 30° C, but the wind is still blowing hard.

We are taking back the device to Best Buy. Too bad it does not work.
Look at the flags, it is still very windy today.
We bought a universal remote control for the old DVD we bought. We hope it will work with our DVD recorder.
Shoot! It works, but not all the menus are accessible. Not good.
The wind is still blowing hard today. The temperature is still in the 30s.
This evening we are playing pétanque.
In this Park, they play pétanque for fun. The teams are mixed every time. It is so we can meet other people and have fun.

It is the annual Pool Party at the RV Park.
We got some music.
We have hot-dogs with all the trimmings.
The French Canadian corner with a few Anglophones in there.
The Pool Party, the food and the music were very good. It was super warm and humid in the pool area (30° C).
When the pool party was over, we came back and dipped in the pool to cool off.

Darn! No photos today. A cold front has arrived during the night. The maximum for the day was 18° C.
Since I have no photos, here is something interesting. To the east of us, the Gulf of Mexico and the South Padre Island.
The yellow line shows the bridge/causeway between the main land and the
South Padre Island. Way before this bridge was built, there was one
which must have increase the blood pressure of the driver...
Here it is! Unbelievable!

The warm weather is back.
Michele spent the morning at the local Thrift Stores. When she got
back, we went for a walk in the Val-Verde Flea Market. We call it the
Mexican flea market because they mostly speak Spanish and it is very
safe.
When I say it is close to the RV Park, I mean close. The RV Park is the
red line and the flea marker is the yellow line. The green tents are
where we were camped in the past and where we are now.
The only thing we purchased at the flea market was the complete series
Deadwood in its original wrapping plus we bought the movie Deadwood
from the illegal booths selling copied movies.
It is the 107th Grey Cup tonight.
We watched the game while eating chicken wings and drank beer.
Winnipeg won the Cup. They earned it.

Cloudy skies, but still nice outside.
Homeowner usually get their house exterior washed before they arrive.
It is kind of hard to see, but 3 men came and washed the house and the
patio in about an hour.
We did go to the pool in the afternoon.

I went to get our propane tank and the car filled this morning. This is what I saw during refueling.
We joined Louise and Lucille at the indoor pool.
By late afternoon, the wind picked up and the temperature started to drop.

Lets start by wishing a very happy birthday to our oldest son, Jeremy.
A coffee and computer morning. It is only 15° C. We even got some light rain over night.
By the afternoon, it was 23° C.
We decide to go and check out Don ★ West flea market.
Just like the other flea markets, they are not running at full speed
yet, next month probably. Most Winter Texans arrive after Thanksgiving
and after New Years.

Because the forecast called for rain today, most vendor did not put stuff outside.
This tent belongs to two quebecois (French Canadian). They only sell bathing suits.
The lady put you in a square and look at you, then she tells you
exactly what size you need and which model/pattern will fit you best.
Michele comes out with two new bathing suit that look really nice for only $30.
Back home, Michele did laundry and I worked on the next blog update.
Michele noticed that the RV Park was short servers for the Thanksgiving
Diner. She asked me if I wanted to help. We went to the office and
volunteered as servers.

Cloudy skies and no wind (19° C).
I bought 4 items from Amazon.com this morning.
I ordered a reversible ceiling fan for the kitchen.
The second item is an accumulator to add to our water system.
I also ordered two "clickers" to open the gate of the RV Park. One is for me and one is for Patrice and Manon.
And the last item, a "Multi-Angle Soft Pillow Reading Bracket for Tablet" for Michele.
We should receive the first 3 items next week or the following. As for
the pillow, anytime between now and whenever (end of January). It is
coming from China.
With the order done, I went to the office to check at what time we should show up for serving. Twelve thirty is the time.

Our table, we will be sitting next to Andre who is standing.

The RV Park supplies the turkey, ham and the stuffing.
The residents brings all the rest.
Here we are, ready to work. We were told what to do. Michele will be serving the stuffing and I the gravy.
After about twenty minutes, we had served about 225 people.
Now, it is our turn to eat.
The food was good and we liked our experience as server.
Just like any other RV Park in the south, once the meal is over,
everybody out! If you stay at your table longer, they will make you
feel like you do not belong there!!!
So, after the meal, we went to the pool, the indoor one because the outdoor one is still broken.
We play pétanque in the evening.

We had some light rain overnight.
It is Black Friday and Michele want to go to JCPenney for a few items.
First we stop by the Mercadome Flea Market for a nice walk to look at
what was for sale.
Next, JCPenney. Michele said it was very busy in the store. Me? I waited in the car.
The outdoor pool is finally open. We sure enjoyed it.
The temperature is warm, 31° C, and it is very windy.
After the pool, we stayed outside to enjoy a beverage in the shade.
I take the time to fix one of our hose that had a leak.
