Day two of swimming lessons. Gabriel listens very well to the instructions. He is the one in the water.

Look at this alien?

After the swimming lessons, we are on our way to Regina.

The first stop is at the Value Village for Michele.

The next stop is at a restaurant, a Chinese buffet restaurant. We did not find one we liked. I do not think Regina has very good Chinese buffet restaurant!!!  So, we chose a buffet like restaurant, but no Chinese. It was barely OK, no more...

Our next stop is at the government environmental/fish and wildlife office to fill out the paperwork for our fishing licenses. Surprise! We cannot talk to anyone because in the processes of making things more efficient, you either call or go online to fill out the proper paperwork. What a way to make things easier!!! I spent over an hour on the phone to finally get disconnected.  Online, they say you will get an answer within 3 working days. Right! It has been over a week and no responses!!! That is why we are here, but we could not talk to anyone. So we left with... nothing, because we could not talk to a person!?!?
Good job in making things easier...

The next stop is at Cabela's.

This is the main display in the store, nice.
Gabriel loves coming to this store. He loves all the stuffed wild animals.

It is not only Jeremy or Kristin who catches fish!

After we got home, Gabriel went to play with Joshua.

Gabriel has a movie night in the MH. It comes with all kind of junk food.

Two kids having fun with the glow-sticks.

Gabriel is very tired after a day like today.

First, Gabriel sleeps in our bed, when it is time for us to go to sleep, we move him to the hide-a-bed in the living room.

Surprise! I got an email from the fish and wild life office regarding our licenses.
We only have to fill out one more document and we will be good to go. We did it right away. Lets see how long it will take.

Wednesday July 17, 2019

Day three of the swimming lessons. Gabriel is getting better and he still loves it.

After swimming, a bike ride. Busy, busy.

Joshua came with us.

We also went to the water park for an hour.

I still took time for me! No matter where you go, local news are the same all over.

Gabriel coddling with his father after he came back from work.

A quick project, lowering Gabriel's bed.

Cutting the legs.

The result. It may not look like much, but it does make a different.

Next chore/project.
Moving all the stuff in the garage away from the wall so the electrician can change and upgrade the wiring. They will be coming Friday afternoon.

Next to Michele is the neighbor's dog, Tank.
Tank love to surprise us by sneaking up on us as we walk up the stairs.
He is not mean at all, jut BIG.

Another good day.
Oh yes, I got an e-mail from the government of Saskatchewan regarding our fishing licenses.
Surprise! They need one more document that the website does not mentioned!
I guess one document a day, eventually we will get there!

Thursday July 18, 2019

The flowers are still blooming!

While Gabriel is at his swimming lessons, I went to town to the Sarcan to return our cans and bottles.

Sarcan is a big employer of people with mental difficulties. It works very well.

Gabriel looks pretty tired at lunch time.

Surprise! I got an email from the Government of Saskatchewan and we can now go and get our Saskatchewan fishing licenses for free.
Our first stop today is at the Canadian Tire to get our fishing licenses. It worked, we got them.
From beginning to getting our fishing licenses it only took 10 days. That is oh so very efficient! Now imagine if we could have talked to a real person how fast it could have been!!!

I leave Michele and Gabriel at the Walmart and Dollorama while I go to the RV Dealer to pickup a part I need.
Out of four parts broken on the MH, our extended warranty only covered one. At least dealing with MJRV was easy and friendly. I got my one part with me now.

Gabriel is waiting for his dad to get off work.

On their way to the post office.

Gabriel came back from the post office with an ice cream.

Kristin just coming back from work.

Kristin, Jeremy and Gabriel went fishing at Buffalo Pound, but came back empty handed.

Friday July 19, 2019

The last swimming lesson of the week. Gabriel still has another week of swimming lessons to go to.

While Gabriel and Michele are at the swimming lessons, I changed the gas cylinder for the entrance door. That is the only part our extended warranty covered.

When they got back from the pool, Michele and Gabriel had a big fight!

Gabriel loves playing with his friend Joshua. Here are the Special Agents.

I supervise the playing!

A few games of Wii.

Jeremy also supervised for a while.

Gabriel was very hot after playing outside.

We put the garage back together because the electricians are not coming today.

After lunch, Jeremy and I moved bedrooms around.
Gabriel's old room.

Gabriel's new room.

What Gabriel's room looks like now.

Gabriel, Kristin and Jeremy are going back fishing at Buffalo Pound, but without the boat.

Again, they came back empty handed.

Gabriel is having a movie night with Grand-maman in the MH.

After Gabriel has been asleep, Jeremy started to replace the heater blower motor on his car.

The new motor with the fan.

The old motor and fan. All the stuff you see below was in the fan. It was from a mice nest!

The mice were coming in from where the yellow arrow is!

We fixed the problem...

A busy day.

Saturday July 20, 2019

Our morning routine in the MH.
We start by making Gabriel's bed.

Folding the hide-a-bed.

And the bed is gone!

Next? Play time!

Taking it easy.

Jeremy and I are moving some shelves in the garage. Electricians are coming to re-wire the garage today.

Once the garage was done, we are off to Diefenbaker Lake with the boat.

I caught a Walleye.

Emergency break...

Where is everybody?

I was the only one who caught fish today. Two nice walleyes and we will eat them tonight or tomorrow.

Jeremy is the expert in filleting fish. Gabriel is playing with the dead fish!

We had a good day on the water.

Sunday July 21, 2019

A quiet Sunday at home.
Jeremy is cooking some cheesy eggs with ham this morning.

Gabriel had been eating a lot since he got here.

Father and son!

We even went for a bike ride.

It was so hot, a nice cold Mister Freeze was needed.

We are "playing" a little with the boat.

A Sunday with family.

Monday July 22, 2019

The electricians came this morning to redo the wiring in the garage.
Meanwhile, Gabriel plays Wii.

As soon as the electricians are gone, we put everything in its place in the garage.

We are getting ready to go fishing at Diefenbaker Lake.
Gabriel is the driver!

We fished for a while on the lake. We also spent some time at the beach playing and shore fishing.
The boys love climbing the mountain.

The beach.

Gabriel loves the beach and the water. Jeremy likes shore fishing.

Jeremy caught a nice perch and it was Gabriel who reels it in.

We saw two deers on top of this cliff.

Kristin did not come fishing because she is on call today.
Here she goes responding to a call.

We made it back before dark.

Gabriel goes right away to the shower, then a quick snack and to bed.  It is late.

We unpack the boat and get it ready for the next fishing trip.

Gabriel is spending the night in the MH.

A father and his son talking about the day fishing.

A good day.

Tuesday July 23, 2019

Two crazy boys before swimming lessons!

Jeremy received the outboard motor prop.
He installed it before lunch.

Right after lunch we left to go to the Wakamow campground.

Gabriel could not wait to play with Asher and Ella.

That tree behind us is a nice playground for the kids.

Our site for the week. Both photos were taken at different time of day.

Jeremy is not staying for supper. One last game with his dad before supper.

Gabriel is sure eating a lot this summer.

By the end of the day, he is very tired.

Wednesday July 24, 2019

Gabriel is improving every day.

Back at the campground, Gabriel is waiting for his friend Asher.
He even gives me a hand finding some words at the game word search.

Grand maman Got an electric shock?

Time to place a bird seed bell for the birds.

Gabriel keeps looking over to see if Asher is back.

Gabriel must be growing a lot with all the food he eats.

It is with a full belly that we play a few games of Racko. He loves playing this game.

Gabriel loves to play in the tree. It is hot and humid today.
It looks like his head is not attached to his body.

Gabriel and grand maman taking a brake on the couch.

Gabriel played with his friends all afternoon.
He is very tired once again.

Falling asleep does not take long.

While we were at the campground, Jeremy was doing repairs on his boat.
The front part/handle was broken. They added a new sheet of metal and added a new handle on top.

He also added a metal block to keep the seat in place.

After all the work, he put the boat in his garage.

Thursday July 25, 2019

It is so hard to supervise Gabriel, Asher and Ella!

They play so well together.

I even took the time to fix one of my hoses.

This tree is like a castle.

We love this family!

Gabriel really loves the game of Racko.

Another hard day at the office.

Friday July 26, 2019

Some crazies.

Last swimming lessons for Gabriel.
The whole family is present.

Gabriel receives his certificate for level 1. He is very proud of himself.

The parents too.

Time for Gabriel's haircut.

He even has some "Racer Strips".

Back at the campground, I clean the BBQ.  It really needed it.

All three of the play so well together.

Meal time with family.

We are playing at the one who can get an AAAAAHHHHH the longest.

Bravo Gabriel for finishing your swimming lessons with a "Pass".

Saturday July 27, 2019

We left the campground at around 4.30 in the morning to go fishing as the sun was coming up.
It was a little on the cool side, but still nice.

Buffalo Pound is a shallow reservoir and the water turns green when it gets warm.
The water is now green, full of algae. The fish do not taste good now.

Can you see the deers on shore?

No fish for us today, but a lot of fun on the water.

Gabriel and his dad biking in the afternoon.

Lots of fun with family.

Gabriel tells us some story.

Another busy day for our grandson.
Some snacks and then bedtime.

Sunday July 28, 2019

Gabriel left this morning to go to Regina with his parents.

The chef at work. I am cooking the meat for supper and the breakfast sausages.

When they got back, they put up the tent behind the MH.

Gabriel fell off the tree today.

The Wakamow River is mostly stagnant water. In the spring the water is better and the pikes are good to eat. Right now, only the carps are capable of living in this water. Jeremy will try to catch one. He has to cut his way to the shore.

Getting the fishing rod ready for the carps.

We had a good stew for supper.

Jeremy is trying to catch a carp.

We are having a campfire tonight.
What comes with a campfire? S'mores!

We sure look happy!

Kristin is not staying the night, she is going home for the night.

Monday July 29, 2019

Gabriel and Jeremy spent the night in the tent.
Jeremy is preparing a good breakfast for all of us.

Gabriel is fishing for minnows.

While Jeremy and I were talking, Gabriel got really quiet on the dock.
We move closer and find him holding his knees and sad. Then, we see his bucket floating a little way down river!
Gabriel is very sad.

Daddy to the rescue...

Jeremy saves the bucket and has to "fish" the cover of the bucket with his net.

Gabriel is very happy to get his bucket back.

And the fishing goes on.

He is coming to let me know he caught crawfish.

Asher is also fishing.

All this action before lunch!

We are having some Louisiana Crawfish with the sandwiches.

I know Gabriel and Jeremy love them. Gabriel is studying crawfish anatomy.

But the main course is still Nutella!

Some quiet time.

It is very hot, but we still find time for a game of Racko.

Gabriel's tooth is growing faster now.

Ice cream is always good.

Gabriel is going to sleep at the house tonight. Michele and I are alone tonight!!!

We found some chicken for very cheap a few days ago, time to cook it up and freeze it.

We had a good week at Wakamow.

Tuesday July 30, 2019

This is the end of our stay in Wakamow, at least this time.
We are going back to Kristin and Jeremy's driveway.

Jeremy finally received his BIG lures from China. These are monster lures for monster fish.

Another busy day for Gabriel.

Wednesday July 31, 2019

Many times people ask us what we miss the most from a house?
A dishwasher for me.

It is very hot outside, but with the AC on, Kristin and Jeremy can paint without breaking a sweat.
They are painting the baby's bedroom.

Gabriel spent some time at the splash park with Joshua's family, Nicole, Madeleine and Logan and grand-maman

Even the big kids are having fun in the water.

We are looking for shade and they are looking for the sun!

Jeremy bought a tackle box for Gabriel.

We decided to go fishing after supper, but it will be shore fishing.

We are at Arm Lake.

I manage to slip and fall in the water!!!
Nothing broken, but a lot of laughter.

Arm Lake is a reservoir and it is in the Q'appelle valley.
It is another lake with green water.

Emergency stop for Gabriel!

No fish, but a lot of fun.
Gabriel was always close to me after I fell in the water. I think he was worried about me!

Until next time.

Life is good...
