Tuesday September 1, 2015

I was feeling good this morning.  It was probably just a bug that I had.

The sun was shinning and we had no smoke in the air.  Off to Wakamow at the playground!
We had to stop and check out this farmer harvesting his crop.
What a surprise!  The farmer drives and talks on the phone!
What did we do before the cell phone?
Ah yes, I remember now, we had a real life and not a virtual life!!!

We had just enough wind to keep the bugs away.
We had a lot of fun!

This little boy sure needed some snacks to keep going.

More playing...  A cool dude with his sunglasses!

We caught Gabriel just before a good sneeze.  He had a friend to play with.

It was not even lunchtime and Gabriel was burned out.

While Gabriel and Grand-maman had a nap, I went in town to sell Michele's old laptop minus the hard drive.
They gave me $50 for a non-working laptop!  I was happy.

After I got back home, I started to fix the top stair nosing moulding.
Why do I not get it done at my dealership?
Because they are incompetent and I want it done right.
They sure put a lot of glue under the nose moulding.

Jeremy has helped, but we cannot install the moulding back as we were short in contact cement glue.  It will be done in the next few days.

A good water gunfight with Gabriel once his nap was over.

Checking out a bug.

Who were we looking at?  Jeremy!

Another good day at +27°C.
Tomorrow?
+31°C!

Wednesday September 2, 2015

Gabriel had a busy day once again.  Other than playing with "Play-Doh", eating ice-cream and listening to a story, we went geocaching and found 5 caches on base.  Gabriel loves to hold the GPS and tell Grand-papa where to go for the cache.  Gabriel walked over 2 kilometres.

Gabriel, the ninja!

Daddy is home!

Big plane, but a small aircraft carrier!

Gabriel was helping Grand-papa measuring the motorhome.

Jeremy finished installing the moulding on the top stair.
A very nice job.

It was a good day for all of us.

Thursday September 3, 2015

After the morning snack, Gabriel and I went to the small park close to home.

I did not know that Gabriel loved the swing so much!

He was going around the post very fast...

And fell down.

While Gabriel was taking his nap, I busied myself with the installation of the gutter extensions.

Gabriel was trying to shoot the big spider.

When we bought the motorhome, we got a mud flap installed.  They had to re-install it because the first time they managed to do it wrong!
Therefore, they installed it again, this time the proper way, but they did not install it levelled!!!
I have never seen a place with so much incompetence in one place!!!
Gabriel was giving me a hand to level the mud flap.

Daddy was back from work and we watched Gabriel doing crazy thing...

Pick-a-boo!

We were back to the normal temperature for the season with +24°C.
Gabriel was spoiled because he is sleeping in the motorhome tonight!

Friday September 4, 2015

We got out of bed at eight thirty, the sky was gray and a light rain was falling.
Breakfast at MacDonald's was the solution and everyone said "yes".
On our way to MacDonald, we saw a train on this railroad track.  It was the first time we saw a train on it!!!
The locomotive had a weird look to it!

Why!  It is a big truck pulling all the cars?!?!?!?

As soon as we got to MacDonald we let Gabriel go and play.  Now we were able to have breakfast without interruptions.

After Gabriel played for about 20 minutes, he came back to the table and asked for some food!
He was telling us all about the things he did with his new friends.

Gabriel had an accident on the slides.  He hit his nose pretty hard on the way down the big slide.
It did not slow him down for very long...

Grand-maman found a funny hat in the house!

I decided to take photos with my tablet.  It has many different special effects as you will see...

Gabriel loved this format and could not stop laughing.

Once again, a little craziness.

A little rascal face!

I was complaining about the heat, now I am complaining about the cold!!!
Imagine that, this is my biggest problem right now.
Life is good!!!

Gabriel was back in the motorhome tonight.  It smelled like popcorn, cartoons on TV, laying in Grand-maman's bed, Gabriel was one happy little boy.

Saturday September 5, 2015

It was raining all night long!
Gabriel woke up at six thirty and came to my bed in the living room.
We left shortly after that to get in the house and have breakfast.
Daddy playing with Gabriel.

With all the rain that was coming and the temperature hovering at +14°C, we decided to go shopping before lunch.

When Gabriel woke up from his nap, him and Daddy went to a friend's birthday party.

Michele and I watched six shows of the series "Suits" back to back.

Gabriel and Grand-maman were back in the motorhome for the evening....

Sunday September 6, 2015

Another miserable day as the weather is concerned.
We spent most of the day inside.

The two cooks at work.

Gabriel was just waiting for his meal.

Hummmmm!

Gabriel was not sleeping in the motorhome.  It is a little too cool and he had a runny nose.
So, he slept with Grand-maman in one of the bedroom upstairs.
They did the same routine as in the motorhome...

Monday September 7, 2015

The wind has been blowing since yesterday and it is a strong wind.
I woke up at around 5 am because the motorhome was shaking a lot.
Some of the wind gusts are over the 50 km/h range.

Today is Labour Day in Canada.
Jeremy was not working.
He decided to built a tower with Gabriel...

It was so high, it had to come down...

"You look funny in that square!".

So many toes!

Grand-maman was looking in the square!

The wind was still blowing pretty hard.  I decided to check out the motorhome.
A branch had fallen and had touched the motorhome!
Lucky for us, it barely touched the roller on the slide awning.
No mark on the slide itself.

We were out in the park close to home.
Gabriel climbing up!

On the way to the slide.

This photo was taken just seconds before Gabriel hit his head on the top on the slide.

Gabriel fell on his bum, the toque did the job and protected his head...

First the truck.

Then the boy!

What a day!  A good snack is required before bedtime.

Tuesday September 8, 2015

An active little boy needs a lot of food and snacks.

Gabriel playing ghost with Grand-maman.

Watching some TV with Dad.

A nice and easy day, just happy!

Wednesday September 9, 2015

Gabriel did not have a good night of sleep and neither did Jeremy.
Jeremy had a cold.  Gabriel had a runny nose, it was not going well in the house.
Jeremy was back from work by 9 am.  The doctor gave him a day off to fight his cold.

To let Jeremy sleep and get better, Gabriel, Grand-maman and Grand-papa decided to show Grand-maman where the geocaches were.

Gabriel remembered where the first cache was located.  Do you see it?  Top center of the right photo.

We continued our walk while eating caddies!

Gabriel remembered every cache we had found.

Gabriel was good at walking long distance.

What about some grilled cheese for lunch.

After a good nap, we were off to the park close to home.
The swing was still a hit.

The fly was not on Gabriel's cheek, it just happened to fly by as Michele took the photo.

Jeremy is still recuperating from his cold and Gabriel is coughing more and more.

Just before bedtime, Gabriel was not feeling very good.  He was coughing and had a runny nose.

Grand-maman decided to sleep with Gabriel in the house so Jeremy could have a good night of sleep.

Thursday September 10, 2015

Grand-maman and Gabriel had a terrible night!
Gabriel did not sleep well or long last night.  When I walked in the house at 8 am, I found Gabriel sleeping on the couch.  He woke up, cried a little and went right back to sleep.  Michele went back in the motorhome to sleep and I stayed with Gabriel.
Jeremy was feeling much better and was back at work today.

Gabriel woke up again at 10 am and this time he was wide-awake.  He was still an happy boy regardless of feeling miserable.
I asked Gabriel to give me a hand to switch the cover of the old dishwasher to the "new" dishwasher.

He was very meticulous in his work!

Gabriel was a very good helper.

Gabriel was giving me direction on placing the top on the dishwasher.

Gabriel barely ate today.  He had a decent diner considering!
By the end of the day, Gabriel was feeling  somewhat better.

Friday September 11, 2015

This time Gabriel had a good night of sleep.  He was still coughing and runny nose, but more energy.
So much energy that he helped Grand-maman cleaning his room.

A good snack after such a good job.

Jeremy missed by the plastic axe.

We received the comforter set we ordered last Sunday.
The original comforter felt like cardboard.

Gabriel was still not feeling 100%, so the "Friday Night" in the motorhome was moved to the house.
Gabriel still had his popcorn, juice and glowsticks.

This was the last Friday we will be spending with Gabriel.
He is going back to his Mom for a month on Sunday.

Saturday September 12, 2015

What a change in temperature, +30°C today!
Grand-maman and Gabriel playing with the tablet's photos.

Grand-maman created a treasure map for Gabriel.  Here she was explaining how the map worked to Gabriel.

Grand-maman helped a lot...

We double-checked the map.

Gabriel found the treasure in no time!

Just before lunch, I got back from emptying the black and gray water tanks.  Gabriel was watching how my backing up was going.

Gabriel had a very good nap.  He got a very good snack.

Supper time and Gabriel was looking at himself in the spoon.  Surprise!

New look?

Tomorrow morning we will be leaving for Medicine Hat.  We will be meeting with Danielle for the "exchange" of Gabriel.
Life is not always fun for a 3 years old in shared custody.

Sunday September 13, 2015

The big day.  We were on the road by 7:15 am.
Gabriel started with some serious reading.

It was followed by a breakfast on the road.

Some video games.

Gabriel was also checking out the trains that went by.

Halfway to Medicine Hat, we made a pit stop at the local Tim.
A donut for Gabriel and some "wake up" juice for the adults.

Gabriel had to have some more candy before Medicine Hat.

We made it to the MacDonald in Medicine Hat just 15 minutes prior to Danielle and her father, Darren.
Gabriel got to play in the "Playland".  He had a lot of energy to spend after being in the car for four hours.

The "exchange" was done, Gabriel is now with his mother, Danielle, for the next month.

Bye Gabriel, we will miss you big time.

Jeremy drove the first hour and I took over for a while.

The other members of the team were hard at work...

It sure was weird in the house with no little boy going at 100 miles per hours...

Monday September 14, 2015

We slept in this morning.
Jeremy was back to work this morning.  Michele and I went groceries shopping.
We slowly start to prepare for our departure on Wednesday morning.

Today's weather was gray sky and drizzle here and there.
No Gabriel asking why!
It was weird to have a quiet house!

We had a treat for diner, a cheese fondue...

As usual, some crazy photos!

Our days was very quiet after having had Gabriel for a month.  Not much to write about.

Tuesday September 15, 2015

We forgot to take any photos today!
We did some grocery shopping for us and continued getting ready for our departure tomorrow morning.

Until next time.

Life is good...
