This is our last day with Julien and Christianne.
We take is easy all day and finish the day playing TOC.
Thursday July 2, 2015
A big thank you to Julien and Christianne to have taken us in and
making us feel like this was our home.
Goodbye Christianne, we will see you again soon.
Our next family visit is at my other sister's place. It is an old
homestead owned by Robert's family and it has many small
cottages. Estelle and Robert owned one of the cottages.
Ah, Montreal! It does not change at all. I have to say that
we noticed a slight amelioration from the drivers, they are a little
more courteous.
We have to go under the St-Lawrence River and the lighting plays some
tricks with the rearview camera of the motorhome.
We now have a purple car.
After we were installed at my sister's place, we invited everybody for
a tour of the motorhome.
Lise, Estelle, Michel and Robert.
Diane, Laurence, Lise and Estelle.
Robert getting ready for the campfire.
This place is very nice and quiet. We had a lovely moonrise.
We are finally having some nice weather.
Friday July 3, 2015
Our home for the next few days.
We are going to the "back 40" to see what Robert and his brother Michel
have been working on.
Estelle even took us to the local auction in Drummondville. The
auctioneer is named Elvis!
We did not spend any money, but it was a show just to watch Elvis
selling his stuff.
Back at home, we have a nice campfire. I stayed up until two
thirty with Guillaume. We had a very good conversation.
Saturday July 4, 2015
Another beautiful day is fore casted.
Coralie having breakfast.
Daddy Guillaume and Coralie.
We spent most of the afternoon sitting in the sun.
The nice afternoon was followed by a pizza supper.
One more campfire.
Guillaume and I have not stayed up as late as the night before!
Sunday July 5, 2015
Coralie with one of the little dress we bought her while in Texas.
Nothing like a good hamburger under the tree for lunch.
Coralie is having a hard time staying awake. One happy
grandmother.
What a busy week it has been.
Monday July 6, 2015
It is time to move again.
We are going to Manon and Patrice's place.
Robert Saying goodbye.
A big thank you to Estelle, Robert and his family for taking us in like
family.
This time we are taking the ferry between Sorel and
Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola for the first time with a motorhome.
We could not take it with the other motorhome because it was lo low to
the ground.
Darn it is hot while we wait for the ferry.
Getting on and off the ferry is a piece of cake.
The ferry is moving fast at 8 km/h.
With the warm weather upon us, we hit the pool as soon as the motorhome
is set up.
Christine, Rock, Catherine and Patrice. We are eating some curd
cheese.
It is always a pleasure to visit Patrice, Manon and the kids.
Tuesday July 7, 2015
This is a hot day at +30°C and a feels like +38.
Here we are just catching up on the news. We went into the pool a
few times.
Just like we always do when we are here, a bike ride plus an
introduction to geocaching.
Manon preparing another good meal.
A good day with family.
Wednesday July 8, 2015
We are in a hot spell as far as weather goes, but we are not
complaining.
I guess we have lost a few bikers today!
We also did some more geocaching with Patrice and
Manon.
Michele saw a garden snake...
We stopped at two RV dealers to compare stabilizer bars for Patrice's
5th wheel.
And we look for more caches.
We listen to Rock as he plays and sings for us during the evening.
Another busy day.
Thursday July 9, 2015
I spend the morning cleaning and replacing the motorhome basement.
Unbelievable the stuff we do not need and the space gained.
This is a temporary solution the cover the door window for the evening.
After lunch, we go looking for caches.
This cache was located in the observation tower.
A great place to do some bird watching.
One of the caches was located under this transport trailer. We
taught we saw Poison Ivy, but it was not.
A good part of the evening is spent playing pool.
I am not a really good pool player. They are all laughing at me!
Friday July 10, 2015
A busy day in front of me.
It started with this toad wanting to get into the garage. I made
it go back.
Today Benoit is coming for the weekend. We also have to move
Catherine to Montreal. Catherine apartment is less than 10 km
from Benoit's place. So, once we are done with Catherine's move,
we head to Benoit's place to pick him up.
The pleasure of moving.
How lucky are we? We parked right in front of Catherine apartment.
Catherine hard at work.
We are back at Patrice place with Benoit.
Here we are listening to Benoit and his story.
We had a great evening with the family and now we have a drink before
we hit the bed.
Benoit and I stayed up until 3 am.
We love having Benoit with us.
Saturday July 11, 2015
A hot day again.
Michèle and Benoit do a little shopping in Berthierville.
The rest of the day is spent talking and jumping in the pool.
Michele trying to look surprised!
A good moment with Benoit.
We played a game of Petanque. The old (Manon and I) against the
young (Rock and Benoit).
You will see lots of photo of our son, it is because we miss him.
We also watch some of the competition at the PAN AM Games.
A very good day with our son.
Sunday July 12, 2015
When we moved Catherine, Patrice bought a GPS Magellan
Explorist 310 like the one we have.
I am giving a crash course to Manon about the GPS.
With all the road construction in Montreal, We are taking Benoit back
to his apartment early before the traffic.
Today was another hot day. After taking Benoit back home, I hit
the pool to cool off.
Pizza dinner!
After the pizza, more pool time.
We ended the day with a campfire. Patrice was very safe with the
water ready.
Monday July 13, 2015
Our home.
We think we have created a few geocaching monsters!
Here we are looking for a cache near the St-Lawrence River. No
luck on this one!
We leave Berthierville behind and drive to Saint-Barthélemy,
Saint-Viateur and Saint-Cuthbert looking for caches. We found a
total of 7 caches today.
Now we are sure we created geocaching monster.
Tuesday July 14, 2015
Michele is driving to Longueuil to visit her friend Marthe. I
stay home with Manon and Patrice.
Marthe daughter, Sabrina, Marthe and Michele. On the right,
Marthe with her boyfriend Denis .
Michele is back by 10 pm.
Manon, Patrice and I spend a good part of the day in Joliette shopping
and looking for caches.
We found 8 of them.
Wednesday July 15, 2015
This morning, we are on the road to Trois-Rivières using the secondary
road 138.
We drive through a few nice little villages. We got 3 caches
between Maskinongé and Louiseville.
Once in Trois-Rivières, we have lunch at the buffet "Le Sieur de
Laviolette".
With a belly full, we start looking for caches in Trois-Rivières.
This is a very good harvest with 27 caches found in Trois-Rivières.
The sun is going down, time to head home.
Here, we are inputting our find on the geocaching.com web site.
