Just to be different, it is raining again!
I use that time to finish the update of our blog.
The rain stopped by noon. We are off looking for caches.
The campground is located right next to the Soulanges
Canal.
One of the lift now permanently closed. The canal was used until
1959.
We are on our way to a cache near the dam.
Charles gives me a personal course on what poison ivy looks like.
Beware, the leaves can be of a different form...
After walking a few kilometres, we deserve a small snack.
A hole in the clouds!
Our site at the Camping des Cascades.
You cannot be serious with those two!!!
What a joy to be with good friends again. We talked and laughed a
lot tonight!
Wednesday June 17, 2015
Yesterday, I purchased a watermelon cutter. I am trying it on
the floor because I do not know how it will behave as I cut the
watermelon.
Nice!
While we are caching,
Michele is staying home today. She wants to save her back for the
move.
The three of us go caching near the campground. We are in the
"Anchor Park". Charles is one of the diver who found and
retrieved
the anchors from the canal and the surrounding waters. Charles,
you always surprise me with you multi talented life.
One of the cache is for children and it is a spice rack full of
"spices". The spices found are like "dried spit", "ulcer's
juice". Everything to scare children. I love this cache and
all the work that went into making it.
After walking over 7 kilometers, we have diner at the local snack bar.
We say our goodbye tonight because we will be on the road first thing
in the morning to pick up our new motorhome.
Agnes and Charles, once again you were the perfect hosts. What a
fun time we had.
We are so excited about getting our new motorhome tomorrow.

One last look at our motorhome!
We are on the road by 8 am to get to the dealership.
One of the reason we love this lifestyle is that you never know what
you will see.
We arrive at Cité Caravane by 9:15 am and the paperwork starts.
It is simple, we only have to go to 3 places in order to get everything
done. So and so is not ready for us, let's jump to step 2 and we
will come back to step one later, Oh, lets do step 3 and we will finish
with step one!!! We finally got all the steps done, but it took a
long time. We can finally start our move from the old motorhome
to the new motorhome a 3:30 pm!
Here is the view from the new motorhome. We can see our old
motorhome on the right.
From 3:30 to 9:30, we move the "up-stairs".
We have to stop at 9:30 because a thunderstorm is over us.
I cannot believe how much stuff is in a 40 foot motorhome.
Friday June 19, 2015
I am up at 6 am and we are moving stuff at 7 am.
We finish the upstairs quickly and start on the basement.
Look at my black knees! You really need knee pads to do a move
like this.
We are done moving by 10:30 and I think we surprised the people
inside. They are not ready for us!!!
We even have time to get lunch at Timmy's.
We are finally on the road at around 2 pm. We have to drive to
Hawkesburry to take officially "possession" of the motorhome. We
have to do this so we will not have to pay taxes in Quebec and then
Ontario. It is all legal.
A look at the rear view camera as we are driving. The first photo
is the strait back view and on the right is with the flasher to the
right and we have a view of the right side of the motorhome.
The official photo in Hawkesburry.
Since we left the dealership late, we are not driving to North Shore
tonight. We stop at the KOA in Mallorytown in the Thousand
Islands.
Some reading about the stuff in the motorhome.
As you can see, we still have a lot of stuff to put away. We
think it will take us 2 to 3 week to find the right place for our stuff.
Saturday June 20, 2015
We drove to North Shore without any problems. I sure find it
different to drive a gas motorhome compare to a diesel pusher
motorhome. It will take some getting us to, but so far I love it.
Our new home for a week.
One more time, the inside!
We even have time to sort through some boxes before dark.
We are far from done that is for sure!
Sunday June 21, 2015
No photos of today's work!
Michele has done a lot of work inside and so did I in the basement.
Sort of a nice sunset!
A very busy day.
Monday June 22, 2015
Michele has an appointment at the chiro and we have some shopping to do
for the new motorhome.
The first stop is at the car wash as usual.
We bought this small shelving unit to place in the closet. This will
give us more room for our clothing.
With the shelving done, time for a little surfing.
We also did place and replace a lot of stuff in the motorhome.
Tuesday June 23, 2015
Another busy morning, we are at the service Ontario office in Brighton
to transfer the plates to the new motorhome. We had to wait 30
minutes, which is un-usual.
At two o'clock, we have an appointment at Krown for a rust inhibitor
application in Trenton.
While driving to Krown I heard a loud noise in the back of the
motorhome!
I stop and see that the fridge door is open. Shoot, I forgot to
place the bungee that keeps the fridge door closed during travel.
Here I am at Krown with the technicians getting ready to start the
application.
After the rust inhibitor application, I went back to the RV Park while
Michele is still shopping.
Here I am getting a large pork roast cut to feed both of us.
I am trying the front seat as a computer station. Nice!
Our automatic satellite antenna is not working properly. I will
have to call the technician and figure it out.
The fireplace is on (no heat) while we read.
Another good day!
Wednesday June 24, 2015
Time to re-arrange the stuff under the bed. I take the time to
inspect the bedroom slide out mechanism.
We emptied all the kitchen cabinets and replaced the kitchenware in a
better fashion.
We went to our appointment with our financial guy and bought a clock
for the kitchen.
We sure accomplished a lot today.
Thursday June 25, 2015
At eight thirty Michele was at Helix for an audiogram so the can get a
masking device for her tinnitus.
While she is at Helix, I call the technician about the satellite
antenna. A few minutes latter, everything is working perfectly.
A few minutes latter, I notice that I am missing a few stations.
A
quick call to Shaw Direct and now everything is really working.
We chose not to have a washer/drier combo installed in the new
motorhome. Michele is now doing laundry at the RV Park.
I wash the motorhome because the treatment for rust left an oily film
on the motorhome.
By 4 pm, the rain is back!
I spend the evening reading material about the motorhome and Michele
watched TV.
Friday June 26, 2015
Michele has an appointment for a mammogram. Nothing to worry
about, it is just a routine check. To all the women out there, do not
hesitate to get a mammogram, you never know.
After we got back home, I get stuff ready for our departure tomorrow
morning.
I really need to wash the windshield because of the residual oil from
the rust proofing.
Almost ready to go.
We are very anxious to see our families.
Saturday June 27, 2015
Off we go!
With the birthday of Canada coming up, you start to see more and more
Canada flags.
Goodbye North Shore, see you next May.
We did not drive very far, less than 5 km. We have breakfast at
the locale restaurant.
With a full belly, we hit the road.
The 401 going east to Quebec.
The motorhome is very different to drive compare to a diesel motorhome.
As you can see, it is very difficult.
Our first stop/visit is at my sister's place. Christianne and
Julien.
We have a lot of catching up to do...
It is good to see my sister and Julien again!
Sunday June 28, 2015
Christianne and Julien have invited family members for diner and
evening.
Suzie and Rolland.
Anik and Marc, We did not get a photo of their two sons.
Guillaume and Marilou.
Rolland playing with Coralie.
Coralie!
We seem to always finish the evening at the kitchen table!
Denis, Estelle, Christianne and Rolland.
It is a pleasure to see the Matte family again.
Thank you Christianne and Julien for this day.
Monday June 29, 2015
Julien is giving us a ride on his spider motorcycle. WOW!
What a machine!
We are getting ready to go to the new buffet restaurant called "Buffet
des Continents".
Here is a view of our "campsite".
This about 2/3 of the restaurant. The food and variety of food
was good.
With our belly full, we got back to Julien and Christianne's place and
went for a walk to help digest the food we just had!
We walk tot he little park with a small lake, creek and small falls.
The weather is still not as pleasant as it could be.
Tuesday June 30, 2015
Christianne and Julien have some appointment to attend to.
We take the direction of Montreal to help our youngest son moving,
again!
You can see many things in Montreal.
The move went smoothly, but it was some hot in the city.
Bianca and Stephane helping us.
After everything is moved, time for a nice cold beer.
We got back at Julien and Christianne's place and saw this sunset
trying to be beautiful.
