By seven-thirty, we are back on the road. Goodbye Walmart!
Highway 11 is really nice going south.
So as not to get too close to the suburbs of Toronto, we take the back
roads to get to the 401.
We had lunch at one of the many Chip Trucks along the way. This one is
pretty flashy with decorations.
For Michele, a poutine! Not a real one, grated orange cheese is not
right for poutine!!! It was OK.
For myself, a chicken Giros. It was good.
Even the big apple near Brighton is wearing a mask.
This is our last travelling day, the final 426 km.
We will be at Jannie and Jan's place until Monday or Tuesday. Then they
will check if they can fit us in the park. They are so nice to
accommodate us like this. Thanks.

This time, we parked the MH the "other way". The nose of the MH is
towards the west. We did this to take advantage of the afternoon and
evening sun. It warms the inside of the MH through the windshield.
Patricia left us some Tim Horton cookies this morning. What a nice
gesture.
We keep getting settled. We do laundry, cleaning, groceries, etc.
This is the whole trip from Moose Jaw to North Shore, all 2910 km of
it. All these kilometres for a total of 1001.00 CDN dollars in
gasoline. Just for fun, I checked the cost over the last few years and
it is about the same within $100.00.

When I say an RV is a Repair Vehicle,
here is another example.
As I was going out of the MH, the screen door handle broke.
A quick trip to the RV Parts place and for $20 I got a new one.
I also changed the striker plate.
Done is a short time.

If you remember, last Sunday we were camping at Neys. The water was not
that great. Here is the filter.
The filter on the right is the one stopping particles 5 micron and
bigger. It did a great job. The second one is mostly for taste and
odours and some particles. It is a good thing I was using them at the
time.
This is Natasha at 8 months old. Natasha grows up so fast.
One happy little girl.
We slowly are getting into the grove.

We had a nice and quiet day at home.
The sun is shining on the trees, in a week or two, the colours will be
much nicer.
Monday, September 21, 2020
Today, I changed the filters. The wells are very low in the area, even if
we are close to the lake. The water is still good to drink, but it has
an iron odour.
My next project is to replace the recliner lever on our sofa. We got it in Moose Jaw. It is time to do it.
All done! But after a few cycles, it started to break again.
I am going to think of a way to fix it myself with a permanent solution.

Jannie and Jan arrived today.
It looks like a campground, doesn't it?
Once they were all done, we all had a few beers on the back patio. We had a lot to talk about.

Patricia told us bout a place that sells used tires in Frankford.
It is called R & E Tires.
Fifteen minutes later, we came out with four winter tires. They are almost new and for only $140.
All we need to do now is find a cheap place to switch the tires on our wheels.
On our way back from Frankford, we stopped at the local Canadian Tire to look for plumbing anti-freeze.
It was a good price, but we did not buy it yet. I will be doing some research tonight.
Thursday, September 24, 2020
I am back at Canadian Tire to buy the plumbing anti-freeze. It was the best price all around.
Time to change the lever for the reclining of our sofa.
The actual lever is made out of plastic and not very strong plastic at that.
My idea is to cut some washers to use as a backstop for the cable.
I had to drill some holes in the lever to make the washer stay in place.
This is the fix. Hopefully, it will be a permanent fix this
time. The zip-tie is to hold the washer in place.
I am all done!
It is working like a charm.

Manon and Patrice mentioned last winter that they had a camera they no
longer used. If we wanted it, we could have it. Yes! They were going to
give it to us this fall when we were at their place. Not happening with
this COVID-19!
So I asked them to mail it to us. It arrived today, super!
It is a Canon, PowerShot SX20 IS. Michele will be able to use the zoom to take photos as we are driving down the road.
Thank you, Manon and Patrice.
The first photo I take is of Michele reading in the bedroom!!!
It has been so dry here this summer, the wells are very low. I am using water from our tank It comes from the campground.
I am filling our freshwater tank this morning.
We got a nice sunset this evening.
Saturday, September 26, 2020
We woke up to fog this morning.
I am just trying out our new (to us) camera.
They have had so little rain in this area that the ground is cracked.
Around supper time, we say this coyote come out of the woods. He is not skinny.
Another nice sunset.
We are slowly getting into a routine.

Some photos of Natasha.
Natasha received an A & W bear because they had forgotten Jeremy's breakfast order. They needed to make it up to them...
Natasha's two top teeth.
The sun is shining. It is quite warm today. The weather will turn colder in the next few days.
For supper, we are going to the Whistling Duck restaurant in Brighton with our friends Jannie, Jan and Patricia.
We had diner on the patio because the weather was so nice.
It was a good meal and good times with our friends.

This is a laid back Monday.
Michele saw turkeys coming out of the wood.
It is a male with his harem.
Jan has asked me if I could give them a hand tomorrow morning at the campground. Of course, I can!

I woke up to rain. We work outside today.
The sky cleared up, the work continues.
This is the trench we
dug for the new wires to upgrade the sites to 50 amps service. The pipe
at the bottom is to route the electrical cables inside.
With this part of the job done, we cleaned up yesterday's dirt left
over. The concrete truck will arrive around 4 pm to cover the pipe at
the bottom of the trench. My job is to drive the Kubota and dump the
dirt somewhere else. I am like a little boy in the sandbox with a dump
truck.
Jan and Patricia no longer needed me by mid-afternoon. I still stayed to watch the concrete being poured.
Unbelievable, the truck comes with sand, gravel, powdered cement
and water. It gets all mixed up right here, as needed, no waste.
With the cement all done, they will come back later this evening to cover it all up and reopen the road.
I enjoyed my day.

On our way back from grocery shopping, we drove the road near Lake Ontario. It is very windy today, the waves are strong.
We are watching the game show "Le Tricheur" while eating ribs. Life is good.
Today we were busy moving stuff around Jam's garage. We had to move trailers and the travel trailer from Patricia.
Because we will be RVing in a house this winter, I treated myself with
a desktop computer, used of course. I will pick it up Friday afternoon.
More on that later...
