We did wash the MH. It was really dirty, specially after three days of rain when we started our travel.
Saturday November 17, 2018
Time to leave Tucson. This is also our last traveling day for a while. We should be in Yuma in the afternoon.
This RV Park has very nice RV sites.
This is the mobile homes area.
Oh the scenery!
One last stop for gas for the MH. The next fuel stop will be
sometime in February 2018. When we washed the MH, it left lots of
water stains. The windshield was really bad. I take the
time to wash it again.
One last mountain range to cross. It is Telegraph Pass, from 79 m to 230 m
in about 10 km. We are not the slowest one on this mountain.
Once we are set-up at our site, we head to the spa we deserve it.
A good day on the road, not to long. We had a tail wind and we got 10.7 MPG with the MH! WOW!
Sunday November 18, 2018
The park put on a breakfast this morning, not free.
We stayed home today.
We are finally home in Yuma. We will move to other RV Park in the next few months, just to check them out.
Monday November 19, 2018
We found our site to be very narrow. One of the trees is partially
blocking the satellite dish and we can only get a few channels.
So, when we went to register and pay for the site, we asked if we could
have another site, a larger site. Yes and it was not a problem.
Here we are moving to our new home.
Our new home until December 17.
When we washed the MH in Tucson,
it left water spots all over the MH. I am washing the MH again, but
this time I dry it off with a rag to prevent water spots.
I really took my time. I washed only the front and passenger side today.
Tuesday November 20, 2018
Just a pretty tree with flowers in the RV Park. The photo does not show it
the way it really is, with the sun shinning on it, it really brightens
up.
I continued washing the MH today. I washed the back and half of the
driver side. The sun is shinning on that side and it makes the
paint to hot to wash.
We also went shopping and used the pool.

We are going to Mexico this morning. In Los Algodones.
We had to drive into California to get to Los Algodones.
Welcome to Mexico.
We picked this place to get our glasses done. They even have a dentist in there.
Michele gets a new pair of glasses and I get two new pairs of
glasses. Why do I need glasses after my eye operation?
Simply because I lost my near vision. I am far-sighted now. The
problem with that is when I drive, I can no longer clearly see the dashboard of
the car or MH. I also get a new mouth-guard. At the end of
all that, we paid $685 cdn for three pairs of glasses and one
mouth-guard, not bad.
While we were waiting for our glasses, we had lunch at one of the many restaurants in Los Algodones.
Michele and I had quesadilla, hers with chicken and mine with beef. It was OK.
The restaurant was in a courtyard and surrounded by business.
After about two hours, we went back to pick up our glasses and mouth-guard. We head back to the United States after that.
We only had to wait for 45 minutes to cross the border back in the U.S. Not bad.
Thursday November 22, 2018
What we see from our living room window. I was way out there doing some updates on our tablets.
It is Thanksgiving in the U.S. We got here to late and the list
for the Thanksgiving meal was already full.
We spent Thanksgiving
at home and it was OK. We also went to JC Penny to get some stuff
on special for Black Friday. I got a pillow worth $40 for only $3.25
after all the rebates.
Friday November 23, 2018
It was crazy in the stores today, Black Friday. We did go in a few
stores, not fun. Michele went to a thrift store and I went to the
flea market to get some LED lights, some stuff for the black and gray
water tanks and a few water filter cartridges.
This has been our new home since Monday.
The cooking/storage area.
And the view on the other side of the MH.
We are very happy with our new site. We do get the satellite dish
working properly now. We got all the channels now. A bonus, we also
get free internet from the club house, not really fast, but still good.
Saturday November 24, 2018
This morning, I went for a bike ride of 8.1 km. It is mostly riding on
the sidewalk. There are a few bike paths in the area, but not
close to the RV Park.
I changed the water filters today.
These are the old one and I can tell you they did a great job considering all the different RV Parks we have been to.
Michele went shopping for a knitting ring to knit some slippers. When she got back, we went to the pool.
And the hot tub.
It ass bingo night and we won $30.
Sunday November 25, 2018
I went for another bike ride this morning. Part of my bike ride was next to this large irrigation canal.
It was a nice, but windy 9.7 km today.
What a big bug...
Michele has started a slipper with her new knitting ring.
It is the Canadian football Grey Cup today. As we have been doing
for the last few years, we are having chicken wings while watching the
game. I am trying a new way for the wings. I "precook" the wings
in the Crockpot before I put them on the BBQ.
The Grey Cup game is over and so were the slippers Michele knitted.
We are slowly getting settled in the park.
Monday November 26, 2018
This afternoon, we went out looking for another RV Park on the east side
of Yuma. We had four or five to visit. All were full except one
and it had the exact dates we wanted. We booked it right away. The
manager was even surprised she had an opening like that this at this time of
year. To top it all off, it cost only $360 for the month compare
to what we are paying now, $525. The sites are even bigger at the
new park.
Here in Yuma, RV Parks start to fill around Christmas and are full until April.
We did have to wait for a while to get in, but we now have a site from December 17 until January 17.
After January 17, we will move to Quartzsite to go to the RV Show. We will be camping in the desert.
Tuesday November 27, 2018
Let's start by wishing a Happy Birthday to our oldest favorite son, Jeremy. Happy Birthday Jeremy!
We love you and are proud of you.
I had a good bike ride this morning, 14 km. The weather was
perfect. I will have to leave a little earlier next time,
it was getting hot when I got back.
A while back, I had started a project for a way to fill the fresh-water tank of the MH when you are away from a water source.
Why? Because it is not possible to fill the fresh-water tank from a gravity
opening, I don't have one on this MH. I can only fill the fresh-water tank with water pressure.
These are the water connections we have on the MH. The center one is the one used to fill the fresh-water tank.
A while back, I added a pipe on the winterizing side of the water
pump. This way I could take water from a five-gallon jug if
needed. All I
have to do is move the valve indicated by the arrow to take water from
the main tank or the five-gallon water jug.
In the water compartment, we have a exterior shower and we never
use it. Why not use that to fill the fresh-water tank from a
five-gallon jug? I took the shower head off the shower hose and
replaced it with an adapter and
connect the hose to the fill connexion. Now I can fill the
fresh-water tank from an outside source.
If we ever want to use the exterior shower, I just replace the shower head on the hose and voila!
I always find it surprising to have the fresh-water connection in
the same compartment as the sewer connection/storage. It would be
easy to contaminate the fresh water.

A relaxing day at home. Reading for Michele and...
Checking and adding water to the battery bank for me.
The batteries are located under the steps going in the MH.
This is the distilled water I am using to top off the batteries. It is full.
The batteries and the water jug after I was done topping off the
batteries. The batteries are using more water here in the desert
because of the low humidity. This is normal.
After this chore, I did read my book for the rest of the day.
Thursday November 29, 2018
A short bike ride for me today.
My bike ride is only five kilometers. I am slacking off...
We did go and look for some geocaches in the afternoon.
One is close by, just over the state line into California. We did not find it.
We decided to surprise our friends Barry and Rose. Rose was not felling very good today, we will come back another day.
On our way back, we stopped at the Walmart Neighborhood Market.
It is a Walmart with just groceries. We found those small pizza
on flat bread for only $2.50 each. What you see is one pizza cut
in two.
They were really good.
We went to the hot tub after supper. It rained for about 10 minutes while we were in the hot tub.
Friday November 30, 2018
It was a little cooler this morning. I was getting some geocaches at the same time as the bike ride.
One of the caches was located at the Pivot Point on this steam locomotive.
All about the locomotive.
The cache was located under the staircase.
A view from the other side. I almost did not find it, because
the box was welded to the frame and I taught it was part of the
locomotive.
Yes, the box was the cache. You had to get the original
locomotive number because it was the combination to open the lock on
the box.
This has to be one of the best cache I have seen for a long time.
Later, we made a quick trip to the grocery store and stayed home enjoying the nice weather.
