1 to 15 September 2017   16 to 30 September 2017

Saturday September 16, 2017

Shoot, no photos.
Manon and Michele went shopping with Valerie and Catherine.  Patrice and I did the oil change on the MH, changed the tires on Valerie's car and a few other things around the yard.

Sunday September 17, 2017

Manon and Patrice are gone to Kingston to drop off Valerie on base
I take this time to thoroughly wash the MH.

Poor Flick, he misses his masters.

I believe it is a viceroy.

I am off for a walk with Flick.

We are very happy to be at Manon and Patrice's place.
The weather is very nice for this time of year.  We have had many +25°C.

Monday September 18, 2015

After six days of driving, the front end of the MH needs a second wash to get all the bugs off.

Once the fog was gone, we are back on the river for some more fishing.
The weather is on the cool side this morning.

It is Patrice's day today.

Our two lovely wives...

Patrice is hot today.

Flick is in love with Michele, but Michele is not.

The sunset changes minutes by minutes.

The little figure 8 on the GPS is where Manon lost her hat and we went back to get it.

Another good day on the water.

Tuesday September 19, 2017

I start the waxing of the MH.  I do it with some stuff Julien sold me.
I put on 3 coats on the front end.

Patrice looked at the weather for the next few days and he recommended we go fishing today.

Michele's selfie.

Flick loves boating.

After a few hours fishing, we are going for a ride around the island of Berthierville.
One of the many ships are anchored in the St-Laurence.

In between the Berthierville islands.

The Berthierville marina.

Another good day on the water with Patrice and Manon.

Wednesday September 20, 2017

Manon and Michele spent a few hours shopping today.

Patrice and I installed a rain gutter on his garage.
I finally finished the waxing of the MH.

Today is Patrice's birthday and his son, Rock, brought a sugar pie with candles.

We played cards with Rock and his girlfriend Christine.  We had a lot of fun.

Thursday September 21, 2017

First thing this morning, we hit the road with the boat in tow to take it back to the dealership for the 30 hours inspection/maintenance.
The dealer is located on the south-shore of the St-Lawrence in the little town of St-Ours.

With the boat at the dealership, we head out for some geocaching.
One cache is located in this cedar tree.

There are more caches on the other side of the Richelieu River.
We took the small ferry between St-Ours and St-Rock-De-Richelieu.

If my information is right, this ferry had belonged to the same family for generations.

Not very expensive!

With the boat ready, we headed home and did some more work on the garage.

Friday September 22, 2017

Patrice always has some kind of project for me to help on when we arrive at his place!!!

This is one example.
Trim the cedar hedge.

It is very hot today, but I still help him and I do not mind.

We improvise a lot as we both never trimmed a cedar hedge before.
A broom is used to pass the extension cord over the hedge.

We also use the broom has a gauge for how high we cut the hedge.

We did good work.

Just before supper, we head to Montreal to pick up Benoit at the Metro Station.  He will spend the weekend with us.
It is the 375th anniversary of Montreal this year.

We pick up Benoit at the Radisson station.

A mother waiting patiently for her son.

Here he comes.

It has been a year since we last saw him.

Benoit loves coming to Manon and Patrice's place.
Having supper with good friends and family.

A young man happy to be back with his mom and dad for the weekend.

We sure had a lot of catching up to do...

Saturday September 23, 2017

Another hot and humid day.
The pool is only at 72°F.  Brrrrrr!

Benoit and Rock.

Manon is the only other person to get in the pool.  They are playing ladder ball.

Patrice and I taking it easy.

Even if it is hot, nobody else got in the pool.

Let me start off by saying I am not a good card player.
But today I am very good and with Patrice as partner, we are unbeatable.
We beat Ralf and Rock like they have not been beaten before.
Do we tease Rock?  Like you would not believe!  He would have. if he had beaten us.

One tired son!

We had another good day.

Sunday September 24, 2017

We have a special corn on the cub.

Benoit is enjoying the pool before he goes back to Montreal later on.

Hummmm!  It is good.

Goodbye Manon and Patrice.

Montreal.

This is the apartment building where Benoit lives.

Another very good week.

Monday September 25, 2015

We are leaving Manon and Patrice this morning.
Thank you so much for having us.

The traffic is not too bad on all three highway (40, 640 and 15) to St-Jerome.

What a neat idea for garage doors.

Our new home for the following week.

When we arrived at our site, this raccoon moved under the MH.  He is very sick, just about to die!

I called the office and it is taken care of quickly.

At the same time, both my sisters showed up.

A little after supper, Rolland and Suzie showed up too.

We sure had a lot of catching up to do...

Tuesday September 26, 2017

Rolland invited me to be in the pit of a racing crew.  He works there as a volunteer for a few drivers.
The cars are smaller than a normal car, but bigger than go-carts.

The race cars have a snowmobile engine and they are all the same other than the paint job.
Rolland is the guy who prepares the cockpit for the drivers.  Like placing the belts and making sure the driver is secure.

And the race is on.

Rolland also fills the fuel tank with the help of the drivers.

He checks the disk brake temperatures.  He does not repair anything.  The drivers have a mechanic for that.
I am not into racing, but I really enjoyed the experience.
Thank you Rolland.

Wednesday September 27, 2017

Our site.

We had lunch at my sister Christianne.  Estelle joined us a little later and we went for a walk to some shop at two thrift stores.
We are at one of the many lookout on the "Rivère Du Nord".

We are invited for supper at my brother's place tonight.  Karole joined us for supper and Dominique came by for a few ours.
No photos!!!

Thursday September 28, 2017

We are having lunch at my sister Estelle today.
The flowers were better looking then on the photo.

Estelle is preparing her famous homemade pizza.

The pizza was very good and once again we did talk a lot.

Tonight we are having supper at the St-Hubert.

From L to R.  Christianne, Gisèle, Michèle, Suzie and Rolland.

From L to R.  Estelle, Robert and André.

We were pretty happy to see my aunt Gisèle and uncle André.

Friday September 29, 2017

Christianne was here for lunch again, we are the one inviting her.
After supper, we went to the Metro Montmorency in Laval to pick up Benoit.  He will be spending the weekend with us.

Benoit was so happy to have a camp fire.

Another late night.  We are getting tired...

Saturday September 30, 2017

It was hard getting out of bed.

Christianne was with us for lunch.

Benoit.

The sun is pretty warm.

Shortly after lunch, our friends Lynn and Robert arrived with their airstream.

We did not have enough time to chat with our friends because we are going to celebrate Coralie's birthday.
Maybe later this evening.

Guillaume and Marylou have invited both sides of the family, the Blain and the Hogue.

Andréa and her daughter Ariel.

André the cowboy.

Guillaume with a dragoon mask that Estelle found at an auction.

We had pizza for supper.

Me!

Alice on the couch.

Coralie (on the right) getting ready to blow the candles.
Alice is keeping an eye on everything.

Going clock-wise, Ariel, André, Alice and Coralie.

Marilyne, Charles and their daughter, Alice.

Crazy family.

Grand maman with Alice.

Coralie is having fun with one of her gift.

It was a very good party.  Thank you Marylou and Guillaume for inviting us.

Once back home, we spent a few hours with our friends Lynn and Robert.  They also had friends with them, Roger and Maud.  They are very nice people.

Until next time.

Life is good...
