Sunday, Monday, April 15 and
16, 2012
Sunday is a laid-back day. I went for a nice walk on Air Force
Beach. Saw an eagle on top of a tree.
Jérémy came and we went in town for a little shopping.
After he left, I did some cleaning up. On Monday, I fixed a small
water leak on the fresh water hose.
Michèle has taken a photo of me
outside in my PJ, I do not like it when somebody is outside in his PJ!
We really like our site and we are
slowly making it home.
Tuesday April 17, 2012
I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on a door?
I check it out and nobody is there!
The culprit is a robin hitting the living room window???
He just does not stop, once every minute or so!
Here I am trying to teach a lesson to the robins. They even
attacked the front windshield the front!!!
Tired of all this hunting...The rest of the afternoon reading in bed.
We fixed dinner and took it to Danielle and Jeremy's place to eat
it. We used that time to do some laundry.
Danielle and Jeremy are just getting back from a doctor's appointment
and they decide to induce the labor early tomorrow.
Not to worry, it is just as a preventive measure.
Wednesday April 18, 2012
This morning, I have an appointment at the GM dealership to get some
warranty work done on the car.
I am waiting for the car at McDonald while surfing the net.
Jérémy called me
with some news. Danielle is not reacting well to some of the
medication and they want to do a C-section in the next 15 or 20 minutes.
I hurry back to the dealership, but the car is not ready. I get
the shuttle
to take me at Jérémy's place and I use Danielle's car to get Michèle.
Noon and we are at the hospital!
We get to see the baby right away, it is now twelve-O-five.
He has only been with us for 15 minutes! WOW! All went well
for mommy and the baby.
Danielle is still in the recovery room. Jérémy takes over the
"skin-to-skin" moment with his son. He is one happy Dad!
Happy parents!
We leave them alone with the baby. We will be back after dinner.
Back at the motorhome, I continue my war with the robins.
The plastic in the windows does not stop them from hitting the
windows. They hit the window
because they see their own reflection! Stupid birds!
They even attacked my rear wheel because it is shinny! And they
pooped all over it. &?%$*#
Now it is a
real war (without killing them)!
Back at the hospital, Danielle has a single room.
Danielle and Jérémy have chosen a name for the Baby Boy, and it is ....
Gabriel!
The handsome Gabriel! Mom and Grand-Maman Michèle.
Gabriel is small, but very healthy. A very proud father!
Congratulations to the love birds for this handsome Gabriel.

Back at the hospital in the afternoon.
One happy Dad!
Danielle is getting better and better every day.
Gabriel in the arm of his great grand mother Julie.
Just a little over a day old.
Friday April 20, 2012
Before we visit Danielle, Jérémy and Gabriel at the hospital, a nice
breakfast at A&W.
Pretty!
Danielle and Gabriel.
I have to warn you that for the next few weeks, most of the photos will
be of Gabriel.
Grand-maman Michèle working hard!
Gabriel is a pretty quiet little guy.
A beautiful day!
Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22, 2012
Danielle and Gabriel are back home today.
One happy Grand Papa!
Gabriel is giving us a hard time, it took two of us to keep him
down for the diaper change...
Kidding!
Gabriel is a very quiet little fellow, does not cry often, sleeps and
is little bowel are working very well...
We sure like to hold him.
The weather is turning cool again,
+12 for the max during daytime, of course, rain is here too.
Springtime on the west coast!
Monday April 23, 2012
On our way to the grocery store, we stopped for about an hour at
Jérémy, Danielle and Gabriel's place.
Remember the birds that were attacking our windows?
I am taking the next step, a plastic owl to scare them away!
Yesterday the site next to us was taken.
Good luck for us, but bad luck for them! The birds love the truck
and camper better them our motorhome!
Michèle reading?
One of our window after the attack! A birds in
action on the camper next door...
I introduce myself to the neighbor and he told me the birds will stop
attacking the windows in a few weeks, once the mating season is over.
Hurry up darn birds!
Tuesday April 24, 2012
The daily routine is getting established in Danielle and Jérémy's place.
Jérémy is making me work! I cannot complain because the wood
is for us for the campfire.
Danielle is feeling better and better every day. She is more
mobile and the pain is receeding.
Danielle, thanks for the beautiful baby!
An angel!
Jérémy and Danielle are very good at parenting,
Gabriel is one lucky kid!
Wednesday,
April 25 to Monday the 30, 2012
After all the busy days, we had in the past few months, we are slowing
down and getting into a routine. Having said that, the updates of
this blog will slow down some.
On Wednesday we are back at the B.C. information center for an in-depth
look at the region for activities and touristy stuff to do on Vancouver
Island.
This information center is brand spanking new. The people working
here are very very good. We left with tons of info.
A part of the information center is dedicated to the Comox Valley
nature and leisure activities.
Looks like we are on the mountain... Michèle with her big catch...
Thursday turn out to be a very boring day, rain, wind and cool
temperature (+12).
The sun comes out, quick we go out for a walk on the beach before the
rains come back.
OK, if I place the horizon horizontal, I will be leaning... If I
am vertical...
As you can see in this photo, the beach is not a sandy beach, but
mostly
rocks.
Oh my Good! Friday and the sun is OUT! I empty the black
and gray water tanks and cut the grass. The campground supplies
the "honey wagon" and the lawnmower for free. WOW!
Funny thing happen today. One camper got some fire wood dropped
off and it turns out the delivery guy has expired plates. The MPs
saw this and he gets towed away... Not a very lucrative way of doing
business!
For supper we treat ourselves with pizza at Jérémy, Danielle and
Gabriel's place.
The Snowbirds are in Comox for two weeks and they practice their air
show twice a day.
Sunday morning and it is sunny! Jérémy and Gabriel drop by for a
visit. Danielle stayed home for a good nap.
A series of photos of Gabriel, he has some "issues" with is little
belly... Funny to watch!
Gabriel is leaving for his next meal!
We stayed home and had a nice fire for the rest of the afternoon.
By Monday the rain is back with a vengeance.
Here I am ready a good book...
What a nice week, we got to see Gabriel, Danielle and Jérémy almost
every day.
We also learned that this year is a very wet spring for the Comox
Valley. Seems to us that everywhere we go it is an unusual years
and the weather is worst then usual! We must bring the bad
weather with us everywhere we go!!!
Until next time.
Life is good...
