Estelle (taking the photo) and Christianne came for a visit/lunch
with us, boy did we talk...
Saturday, June 17.
Today is moving day for Benoit, here we go giving him a hand.
A warm and humid day in Montreal. Lucky Benoit does not have much
to move.
Down we go from the 3rd floor to the trailer...
Everything Benoit owns!
Benoit is moving in with a roommate.
The move went without any problems.
Good luck Benoit with your new place!
Sunday, June 18.
Father's Day!
We started the day with a nice walk in the campground.
We went snooping around the Flea Market in Prevost...
We were invited to my sister's place for supper with her family.
Again, it was a pleasure to see and chat with Guillaume, Simon,
Marilyne and Charles. Of course, Robert too!
Thanks, Robert and Estelle for a very nice meal and a good evening.
Tuesday, June 21.
Another warm and muggy day. Let's go and walk on the wooden
sidewalk by the North River in Saint-Jérome.
Very nice!
This is a very nice walk along the river's edge.
Lots of time left in the afternoon, we decided to go and visit Rolland
and Suzie. We ended up staying for supper and the evening.
Thanks, Rolland and Suzie for a very good meal and a very nice
evening.
Thursday, June 23 to
Wednesday, June 29, 2011
This is our moving day for us! To stay at the campground, we have to move sites. We knew
this
when we came in.
Between two rain showers, we move!
Back with the last two things left, the bikes!
Today is also the start of the Saint-jean Baptiste celebration this
weekend.
Nothing like a big fire and some activities in the community center.
With the rainy weather we had today, the organizers were lucky and no
rains until the activities were over.
Well done, lots of fun, good music, good times!
With my oldest sister, Christianne!
Friday,
June 24.
It is raining again for a change!
Estelle and Christianne spent the afternoon with us.
The Bonne Fire was cancelled for this evening, too much rain!
But in the clubhouse, Karaoke is still on. Lots of singers... We
had some good laughs!
Saturday, June 25.
Another rainy day!
Robert and Estelle came over for a visit in the afternoon. Luckily, the rain let up some in the afternoon and we went for a walk in
the campground.
Sunday, June 26.
Today we are going to visit Lynn and Robert. We have not seen
each other since the early 90s.
What a meal and evening we had together. So many memories, good
laughs, a very good evening.
So much fun, we forgot the time and we left at 2 am.
Monday, June 27.
A year ago we started our new life on the road. A small look back on the past year.
We have covered just over 12650 kilometer with the motorhome.
We have visited/driven through 5 provinces, 12 American states.
Moved from Alberta to Ontario.
I was going to write more on the last year of travel, but the first 6
months were more like moving to Québec and then starting our new
life. Having said that, I will publish a yearly, condensed,
"report" of our expenses but not until December 31st, 2011.
Today we are on our way back to Belleville, Ontario for some blood work
and an appointment with my doctor. Nothing to worry about just
some follow up.
A beautiful day to travel, sunny, +26 and no wind. But road
construction...
I always love to see a province dedicate a road or highway to the
veterans. A very nice gesture.
Ontario. Here we come!
We stayed at Odette and Onyx's place.
Thanks for taking us in on short notice.
Tomorrow, we are back to the campground.
Tuesday, June 28.
Once the blood work is done and the appointment is taken care of, we hit
the road back to St-Jérome.
For a change, we go by Ottawa on the way back.
Surprise, another highway dedicated to the veterans...
This is the first time we see both warning signs side by side!
Just before the entrance of the campground, a bridge is being replaced.
At times it can take up to 20 minutes to cover 500 meters!
Here are some of the photos I took around the campground...
Wednesday, June 29.
We are going to the mall with my mother, Estelle, Christianne and
Michele.
Mom is buying lunch before we start shopping.
We went to the movie, the film we saw is about a rock singer from
Quebec.
Well done, a very good movie.
