We joined Michelle and Dylan at a park next to the community garden in
town.
We play in the park and walk in the community garden.
Jeremy even changed his front brakes on his car this afternoon.
It is a hot day with a hot +32°C.
Michele and I went to the Wakamow campground and reserved a site for
Monday and Tuesday night.
Friday September 2, 2016
Another hot day, we do not feel like doing anything!
Gabriel got and haircut today!
We took a little walk to the post office too!
A normal day.
Saturday September 3, 2016
It has cooled off quite a bit today.
Gabriel, Jeremy and Michelle went to Cresent Park to feed the ducks.
Is Jeremy going to sit on Grand-maman and Gabriel?
After supper, we decided to go and look for the last cache to be found
on base.
Gabriel loves to run after your shadow. We like it too I guess!
Gabriel has really good eyesight, he sees everything!
He saw a spider web in a form of a tunnel!
He even sees a dead garden snake on the grass as we walk back home.
Another quiet day in Moose Jaw!
Sunday September 4, 2016
Michelle cooked us a very good breakfast this morning.
We had French-toasts!
Father and son having a great time!
About 20 minutes from Moose Jaw there is a farm offering some
activities and food for this Sunday afternoon.
We are all going.
The trees are starting to change colours! Good Grief, it is only
the beginning of September!!!
We are at "Grandpa's Garden". This is a U-Pick farm. They
also make honey, jams and wine.
Today they have a bouncy-castle. Gabriel loves it!
Michele posing for the camera!
For $7 you can have either a hamburger or hot-dog, corn on the cub,
veggies, a drink and for dessert, ice-cream with strawberries.
This BBQ is made from the center barrel of a combine. Pretty neat
to look at!
This is one part of the u-pick. This area if for cantaloupes and
watermelons.
Gabriel must have jumped for over an hour in the castle. He is
burned out!!!
The high for today was only +15°C, brrrrr!
Tomorrow we are going camping to Wakamow. We hope is will not be
raining!
Monday September 5, 2016
We are camping at Wakamow River Park for 2 nights.
We just want to do something different for a few days.
We are parked in reverse, this way we have more "yard" in front of us.
Gabriel was taking a nap while we were setting up at the park. It
is much faster to set-up when you do not have a 4 years old running
around. After Gabriel woke up, Jeremy and Gabriel came over.
The weather is cool and rainy, but this little boy is hungry.
Gabriel ate a full hamburger by himself.
After diner, we went out for a walk to help the food down.
Why do little kids absolutely want to jump in puddles?
It was a good day even with the not so nice weather.
Tuesday September 6, 2016
The view from the dinning table.
The Wakamow river.
Gabriel is making faces again ????
Next to the campground there is a nice playground.
Gabriel made a new friend and for the next two hours, they had fun.
Gabriel and his friend are expert at finding ladybug.
One of the resident of this park is a deer with three little
ones. I had never seen triplets fawns before.
And we continue to play with little plastic soldiers.
A very good day!
Wednesday September 7, 2016
We are a little rushed this morning. Gabriel has a dental
appointment this morning.
A big breakfast for both of us.
It rains and it rains again!
Michele has gone to Jeremy's place to wait for Gabriel. Me?
I pack the MH and get it ready to travel back to Jeremy's place.
A rainy day!
Thursday September 8, 2016
Gabriel and I went to the park down the street for an hour.
After that, we are playing with Duplo's and we are built castle.
Time to wash the MH. Gabriel is giving me a hand. I wash
and he rinses!
"Hands up!".
"Aim and shoot".
"Humm, something is moving down there!".
"Oups, I have to rinse".
Gabriel taking a break to help Ladybugs.
"Hurry up Grand-papa!".
"I am shooting the ants".
"I am working hard!"
"What is behind the big wheel?".
"Can a Ladybug swim?".
Poor Gabriel, he fell of the couch and now he has a goose egg!
Grand-maman and Gabriel are playing under the blanket with some
superheroes with lights!
We had a few thunderstorms by late afternoon, nothing big.
Friday September 9, 2016
We are looking for two caches in Cresent Park in Moose Jaw.
Gabriel is giving us a hand.
He showed us how to get to the top of the falls.
We found the first cache no problems!
Gabriel trying to be a "Yo!".
We take time to feed the ducks.
On our way back home, Jeremy invites us for a visit at his workplace.
Gabriel is used to airplane. He knows a lot about the Tutor
cockpit.
He knows his numbers.
Checking the wing.
Gabriel loves aircraft, but he also lives the "mules" or small tractors
used to move aircraft and equipment around the airfield.
Gabriel is hiding under the giraffe and he is so excited when we
uncover him!
Dad and Gabriel being crazy before bedtime.
A good day!
Saturday September 10, 2016
A busy morning for me, Jeremy, Michelle and Gabriel...
We are at the Sukanen Ship Pioneer Village & Museum for the
"Threshing Bee" day.
They have pancake breakfast and all sorts of activities today.
We had the pancakes.
We saw a rope making demonstration. Gabriel bought the rope that
was just made. We used it right away!
Small hub caps and old spark plugs.
Lots of old cares.
The museum has many old buildings full of antics.
Here is what started this museum!
A long story short. This guy misses home (Finland) so much, he
build a ship, here in the prairies, to sail back home!
Jeremy is going crazy!
You want to see old appliances?
A general store.
WE got to see many old cars and tractors. They all work!
Gabriel at the top... and falling down!
Another garage with old vehicles. I did not know Bombardier made
mopeds.
Hummmm!!!! We will keep our MH!
Michelle and Gabriel with a Minions.
Gabriel finally goes his horse draw ride.
What a busy morning, now is time for lunch at Montana's!
Good food and Gabriel is very good at restaurant!
On our way back home, we had to stop at eh new Cowtown store.
Hummm! Nothing to say!
Gabriel saying his "goodnight" before bedtime.
Tomorrow Gabriel has to get back to his mother. Share custody is
what it is all about... (I will keep my opinion for me at this time)
Sunday September 11, 2016
One last photo with Grand-maman.
Gabriel is ready to go!
I am going with Jeremy to Medicine Hat to do the "switch" of Gabriel
from dad to mom.
Gabriel makes us laugh during this trip.
Look at this candy stick?
Lots of sugar...
BAM! The sugar takes effect!
Gabriel is one funny little boy!
After 4 hours of driving, we are in Medicine Hat and let Gabriel go
with his mother, now we have to drive back for another 4 hours.
The bright side? She had to do the same, share custody has to be fair
at times!!! Not nice today, but it is what it is...
Jeremy will get his son back on Christmas for a week or two?!?!?!
Monday September 12, 2016
Jeremy is back to work and we enjoyed a late morning in bed.
I do not know what happens, but no photos today!
The house is so quiet without Gabriel...
Tuesday September 13, 2016
We have a slow day. Slowly packing the MH for our trip west.
Jeremy treats us to a nice dinner at Montana's.
Jeremy is teasing us a little about the electricity and water we used
while we were parked in his driveway.
He wants to give us a bill! That is OK, we have Canadian Tire
money for him...
Wednesday September 14, 2016
Time to hit the road!
Thank you very much Jeremy. Usually it is the kids who move
back home, but we are different, we are the one moving back with the
kids for a while.
We are giving you back your house (and your winter).
Now seriously, we are so lucky to have two good sons like Jeremy and
Benoit.
The first stop we make is at the Wakamow campground to dump our gray
and black water before we travel.
We are driving west. If nothing changes, our destination is
Osoyoos, BC.
We have until the end of September to get there.
Trains, lots of trains!
Goodbye Saskatchewan.
Hello Alberta.
This is the first time we saw buffalos between Moose Jaw and
Medicine Hat.
The mascot of Bow Island, Pinto MacBean. The area is a big
producer of the pinto bean. The bean comestible either cooked or
nature.
This is going to be home for two nights, welcome to Taber.
We are at the Taber RV Park.
More info tomorrow.
This is a map with the travel we did today.
We drove 521 km.
We take the rest of the day to relax.
Thursday September 15, 2016
Let's take a look at our campground.
The view to the front of the MH.
On the left side!
This is the campground!!!
Why camp here, in a parking lot?
It is a campground that belongs to the Passport America Club and it is
the cheapest around at $16.00 per night. We will not be spending
long enough to "enjoy" the campground. We would not spend a month
or even a week in this campground unless we would really need to.
Today, we are caching in Taber.
The caches in Taber are very original. Many businesses and
private citizen have giving permission to have caches hidden on their
properties. Like this one, the business allowed a cache to be
placed behind the gas cap of this old truck.
First time for a cache in a water valve.
We found 18 caches today.
We are having a super supper tonight, a Chinese fondue. So good!
