Happy Birthday Canada!

There is a race in the Wakamow park this morning.  It is a 5 and 10 km race.
We got to see the end of the 5 km race.

We watched a few runners come in, but our plan was to make it to the Pirate Ship!

Jeremy invited us for lunch at the Cresent Park where they have a few vendors and food trucks.

After a few purchases, we head back into Cresent Park towards the amphitheater to see what is going on.

The show will only take place in one hour!

Time to move on.

Gabriel had a good nap and got a big snack after he woke up.

They played a few games.

Jeremy has rented a canoe from the base.  We will have it for the whole time we are here.
This is Gabriel's first time in a canoe.  He liked it.

This is a very tired little boy in the shower.

It was a very busy day for all of us.

Saturday July 2, 2016

This morning I am cooking my favorite food, bacon!
After the bacon is cooked, eggs are cooked in bacon fat!
Not good for your heart, but once every 6 months, it is good for the soul...

Gabriel loved his breakfast.

Gabriel is telling us some stories!

We had some donair for lunch, hummm!

This bucket is for observing insects.
You have to get a closer look!

When Gabriel woke up from his nap, we all headed to the Burger Shack for ice cream and play in the other playground.

More stories!

This kid is eating all the time!

I think after all we did today, we will have a good night of sleep tonight!

Sunday July 3, 2016

The weather is undecided this morning.
It does not matter, we have our loved one with us, so the sun is shinning in our heart.

We took a few walks around the campground.  Notice the colour of the sky, pretty dark.

Today was a very laid-back day.

Another busy week and we love it.

Monday July 4, 2016

It is on the cool side this morning.  We are on our way to the dumpster and after that, we are going to the playground.

We were really busy this morning...

The sun is shinning, it is warm, time to do some canoeing.

What a nice T-Shirt.

We are having Michelle's family for supper today.  There is Michelle's parent, her grandmother, her sister with her husband and 4 kids.
We are 15 peoples total.

The meal was good and the kids had a good time.  They still had a few altercations, but nothing major.

Tuesday July 5, 2016

We are leaving the campground this morning.
Gabriel is giving me a hand to put stuff away outside.

Sometimes, he does get in the way!

Watching the MH leave the campground.

Once we were back home, we had lunch and when Gabriel was down for his nap, me and Jeremy went to bottle my wine.

This is a store where you can make your wine on premises.
The owner is very nice.

Wednesday July 6, 2016

We are having a relaxed day today.  Jeremy is doing his last minute "things" before he leaves tomorrow with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds (431 Air Demonstration Squadron).

Gabriel is very busy playing...

Some selfie.

From the drummer boy to the nerf revolver.

Some of the stuff we got done today.
I fixed the "Brake Buddy".  It is the supplemental braking system for the car when I am towing it behind the MH.

Next, I have to re-glue the nose of the entry steps.  Cité Caravane re-glued them after they fixed the floor, but as it is usual for them, it was not properly, am I surprised?  No!
First, remove the old glue.

I had to re-glue two of the three nose pieces they had glued!
I think you get it that I really think they are not good at much!

I am getting to seal the crack on the skylight over the shower.

Here is the result, not pretty, but it is sealed now.  The red stuff is the residual from the tape I used as a temporary fix.

I removed the interior cover to inspect the sealant job, no leaks.

I am glad it is done.

Thursday July 7, 2016

Jeremy is leaving us for a month this morning.
Here, he is in his Snowbirds Flight Suit.

The last luggage.

The Snowbirds are starting their engines.

Jeremy is the technician on aircraft # 9.

They are taking off in formation.  They are on their way to Yellowknife, NWT, for their first air show of this "swing".

A good walk after a good supper.  Checking out all the insects we see on our walk.

Tonight is one more movie night in Grand-maman's bed.

Gabriel misses his dad already.

Friday July 8, 2016

It is hot outside, time for some pool time!

Here is a couple of videos of Gabriel in action.
Video # 1.
Video # 2.

Gabriel really needed a nap today.  Michele take the time to watch a few episodes on Netflix.

Making some bubbles and chasing bubbles.  When it is hot outside, a Mr.Freeze tastes very good.

We had a great day today.

Saturday July 9, 2016

We are on our way to a different park in the PMQ.

No pool today, but we are having sprinkler time.  Brrrr!  That water is cold!

Grand-papa having fun with Gabriel...

Gabriel is skipping the nap today, he will be some tired tonight.

Sunday July 10, 2016

We are doing all the prep work to go camping at Wakamow this afternoon.  We will be there until Wednesday morning.
In the meantime, Gabriel is going back to the dinosaur's age!

Gabriel wants to be in an egg and hatch...

I am at the campground a twelve thirty.
There is still a travel trailer on our site!  A good thing Michele and Gabriel are not with me.  They are back at the house, Gabriel is taking a nap.  Back at the campground, the office will not open for another half an hour.
I can finally get to our site by one thirty!

Once Michele and Gabriel are at the MH, we go to the Pirate Park.

At around four thirty the weather cooled off and rain started slowly.
Back at the MH, we sat and talked for a while.

After a good supper, we watched a movie.  What movie?  Beauty and the Beast.

My loved one!

Gabriel is in bed with Grand-maman and some "Glow Sticks".

The weather is not supposed to be nice for the next few days.  I guess we will be watching many movies!
We will be here until Wednesday morning.

Monday July 11, 2016

Rain, rain go away!

Where is Gabriel this morning?

We are under a warning of heavy rain for the next two days.
It is raining really hard right now!

Here is the map with the weather system that is stationary over us.  We are at the point of the arrow and the circular arrow shows where the weather system is stationary.
According to the news, we have received over 2 inches of rain this morning.

Why don't we go shopping at the mall!
We went to Sears to shop for a mattress for the MH.

The mattress in our MH is not very good.  Like in any new RV.  To top it all, it is not covered under the extended warranty.  Go figure!
So we will have to buy a new one of better quality and pay for it...

The rain took a break this afternoon.  Gabriel and I take out the garbage and have a look at all the puddles in the park.

One giant puddle!

Water and dirt, results in mud!.

Gabriel walked in every single puddle on the campground.
This was hard work for him.
It is time to watch a movie and go to bed.

The forecast for tomorrow is for a little less rain.

Tuesday July 12, 2016

We woke up to rain again!

We went to Walmart this morning for some grocery shopping.
On our way back we saw this truck pulling a railroad car!

We spent some time playing with little frogs we make jump.

Gabriel helped me tightening the light fixture screws.
He is a very good apprentice!

And we played more games.
Usually, it is Michele playing games, this is the only two times I played games!

WOW, a big snack before bedtime!

Let me tell you, we cannot wait until we see the sun again!

Wednesday July 13, 2016

We are leaving the campground this morning.  Of course it is no longer raining...
Grand-maman and Gabriel fooling around with my hats.  Don't they look like real rednecks?

We got home before lunch.
After lunch we did a few chores like drying the carpets, maintenance work on the bicycles, laundry and some riding on the scooter!

It is so funny, now Gabriel makes up stories with his toys.
Sometimes he even tells us stories about thing that happen to him during the day.

We are slowly getting things ready for Friday.  Friday we are leaving to a campground near Maple Creek.  It is about 45 minutes from Medicine Hat.  Sunday we will be dropping off Gabriel with his mother.  She has him for the next month.

Thursday July 14, 2016

The weather is looking weird this morning.  I cut the grass and do some cleaning in the garage.  I also worked on our Brake Buddy because it is no longer holding it pressure, but could not find anything wrong with it.  A brake Buddy is a supplemental braking system for the car when we are towing the car behind the MH.  We bought it used in 2009.  It lasted for a long time.

Today we are going to show you a Gabriel who does not always look handsome...

He is so funny!
He is like us and does have bad days like us!!!

(Am I getting even?)

Friday July 15, 2016

Let's go to Alberta!
We are on our way to Eagle Valley campground near the frontier of Saskatchewan and Alberta.

We are driving over the railroad yard in Moose Jaw.

After 180 km, we make a pit stop at the Walmart in Swift Current.

We also make another stop shortly after, this time for lunch.
Before lunch, we read some historical information about the area.

Shortly after, we arrived at the campground.  They have a small display of shells near the office.

Gabriel gave me a really good hand at setting up the MH.
We even inspected the radiator area because it is full of dead bugs!
So much hard work, Gabriel had to take a nap!

The two men of the MH!

Cooking some supper.

Gabriel is so hungry, he has to use both, a spoon and a fork!

The weather forecast for tomorrow?  Rain!

Until next time.

Life is good...
